The best restaurants serving British food in Colan and Mawgan Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Cant believe how terrible everything was on our visit today. I've visited this place many times and never had a problem, today, 3 out of the 6 meals were wrong. One sent back (had beans when it shouldn't have) was then given back with the same food moved to a different plate but still covered in bean juice which the child wouldn't eat. 2 of the other meals were completely inedible, absolutely disgusting food. Complained and asked to speak to the manager who proceeded to hide in the kitchen and refused to come out as he was too "busy", instead leaving a 17 year old girl to deal with it. Credit to her, she did the best that she could but manager wouldn't let her do anything to help. He also then shouted at her in the kitchen and blamed her for the mistakes (she read the order back to me when taking it, it was completely correct) honestly, so disgusted with how we were treated would recommend everyone avoids the place like the plague!

Talked to very unpleasantly because was in the wrong place for line my wife left for outside I stayed ordered 5 drinks just over £22 first 2 drinks latte capacino then new blueberry tea still waiting for last 2 drinks tried my latte strange brown around edge think it was hot chocolate somehow the worst latte ever tried returned they started making a phresh one my mother tea looked nothing like pictures I asked her what it was like she said it was very weak tried it my self like water returned very upset now asked if it was what was on the picture was asked which one 4 pictures so walked over and pointed was asked what I was doing behind counter and to get out so asked for refund it was not easy getting them to agree to refund £19 I said it should be more was told thats the drinks you had girl that served me said the drinks I had was not what I ordered or paid for so next£20 refund still short of what I paid just excepted and left what a joke.

Myself and partner visited on 18th March 2025 .had a burger and partner had the fish and chips excellent food and service,wasn't waiting long for food.will visit again.10 out of 10
