The best restaurants in Town Centre Christchurch South West

Food was very good. I had the veal. Mainly a fish menu though. Service again very good. But the prices were very high as I suppose you are also paying for the location so because of that we will not be returning.

Really impressed with this restaurant and the service we received yesterday evening! Firstly, the decor is stunning, beautifully styled and just a perfect amount of restaurant / bar combination, the seats were very comfortable and the menu choice was spot on too! I would also like to mention the staff, we had a lovely young lady who took our order but also wanted to thank Lindsey (I'm sure that was your name), who was brilliant with my dad (broken toe), very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We shall certainly be back - highly recommend to all! Good luck with your launch in March! Kate

Specifically booked this place as the website made it out to be a quaint and picturesque upmarket seafood restaurant which was what we were looking for. Booked in advance for a milestone birthday meal, with both elderly people and children in tow but when we arrived it was carnage. We queued for 10 minutes before getting served and could already see thet the place was completely overcrowded and that most people were overly drunk and becoming quite rowdy (we observed one man being sick on himself in the corner and my 70 year old mother was also pushed into a wall by a large young man trying to get past). By the time we met the host whose placement was creating a bottle neck right in the middle of the bar and who was also completely overwhelmed and unable to handle the situation in a respectable way. He told us they were running at least 15 minutes behind and told us to go to the bar. The queue for the bar was rows deep so we declined and just ended up standing in the middle of the place waiting. 20 minutes later they were still waiting for the previous customers at the table to finish and upon our second enquiry as to how much longer we’d be waiting we were told they still needed to provide the table with a birthday cake that they wound likely then be eating and then settle the bill and go. At this point we’re decided to leave. This place needs to decide what it wants to be, if it wants to be a rowdy bar be a rowdy bar but don’t market yourself as a upmarket restaurant. Thoroughly disappointed.

Had an overnight stay in Christchurch before a couple of days working in Bournemouth. Arcado's menu looked good so grabbed a table for 1 and was glad I did. Friendly staff, the best burger I've had for a while, decent price, can't fault it. Was pretty quiet which I didn't mind - was fairly early on a Thurs night so imagine it picks up on Fri and the weekend.

Alas The Ship is no longer open :(

A very disappointing fish and chip lunch, tasteless fish and reheated chips, what a shame.

Says open till half 2 but doesn’t bother saying it’s either changed times or it was never open until then. Wasted money on a taxi to get here for it not to be open. Looked like a run down place anyways so we might have dodged a bullet

After receiving an email with a confirmation of an order had a phone call to say that it won't be delivered. They were not interested to help with a refund. No phone number to customer support on their website. You have to fill up a long form and wait several days to be contacted. Ridiculous. EDIT: Same thing happened just now. Made an order and once again received a phone call to say that it won't be delivered. It'll again take a week to receive a refund. OMG!

This is genuinely the best kebab I have ever had , cooked with passion nobody can top this place , thank you so healthy and tastes like you love what you do

(Saturday) really bad black coffee had loads of grounds in and was bitter 😫 very disappointing.

A Good Friday family meal was enjoyed by us all here. I am a regular visitor when spending time by the sea here. The food and service are very good. My favourite is their Mol e-Mol Chicken. The surroundings are modern and extremely clean. The staff are smartly dressed and they have Kingfisher on draught. Of all the places that I eat in this area this is the best value for money and the Mela bill when it arrives is always less than I expected.

Quite simply they sell really good curries.
