Worst fishcake ever. Tonight my husband ordered fishcake and chips twice. I have only ever had chips from this shop and they are generally good. Tonight we didnt want the expense of fish and chips so settled on a fishcake instead. I was surprised at the £16 cost to start with for 2 meals - never worth that. But the worst part was the fishcake which was a sloppy texture. There was a strong flavour of onion - other than that it was tasteless. The gloopy texture was unappetising so the dog ended up finishing them as neither of us could eat them. A waste of money and so disappointing.

First time I've visited here. Drinks were reasonably priced. It was busy downstairs, but they had an upstairs too. There was a band on. I'd definitely return.

We had a great time celebrating at Dirty Gerties. Will ran an extremely fun cocktail making session (3 cocktails and a complimentary shot). Would thoroughly recommend this place!

The choices to paint are good and the staff were friendly but I won't be going back as they have a charge for a parent staying with their kids of nearly as much as taking part. It wasn't even really about the money but more the principle of it. It seems totally unjustified. I don't want to leave my 9 year old and her sister alone to paint, but this charge encourages it. There's plenty of other places that don't charge me for being there and these will be the ones I go to in the future.

Visited Monday afternoon, attracted by the owners sign that the desserts were home made. I had a chat with the owners about tiramisu.. My experience was based on a visit to a small pub/hotel in Wales 35 years ago where the owner/chef said it was his signature dish. The incredible taste has stayed with me all these years. My wife tried it for the first time 3 weeks ago after listening to me for all these years. She loved it. The lady in the shop said theirs is made with love. Brought some and tried it at home. Pleased to say it was a total taste success. Hopefully we can visit when we have more time.

Stumbled upon this place on way back to train station. Was hungry but only had time for snack. Spotted the Smoothies on the board and asked if the chap could make it less thick. Was duly obliged and the Tropical one was excellent. Had the New Yorker wrap. Very tasty. Came with amazing coleslaw and a small (exceptionally) salad garnish. The bill was just shy of £13 which I felt was a lot considering the board outside advertised a Rise & Shine breakfast for £3.75. However I was aware of the prices and felt it was acceptable when ordering. I sat outside but the inside looked welcoming and was very clean. Oh and there were delicious and tempting looking cakes on a Coffee & Cake £5 deal. Next time 😍 Definitely found my stop off place on my next visit.

Wonderful meal here- great team, great food and drinks. Really good atmosphere, highly recommend.

We have always loved our annual stay at the Captains club for the last 14 years, we have experienced wonderful service from the house keepers to the bar and restuarant staff. This May 24th 25th we brought 14 guests with us to celebrate my 60th Birthday some have stayed before some it was there 1st time. We noticed on arrival it was not as friendly smiley welcome that we have previously had. I had booked the resaurant for the Sunday night 8pm for 16 of us, we didnt get our starter untill 9.45pm and two starters were missing we then had to wait 20 minutes for the missing two salads, we finally got our mains by 10.30pm but again some food was missing ie hand cut chips when they finally dleivered the chips some of them were raw and under cooked. It was so dissapointing as we have always had excellent food and service in the restaurant before, the waiting staff did try to sort it out but it all got to late for us to enjoy our meals, I hope things get back on track, as this truley is our favourate hotel for a weekend break. Amazing food, the flavours were “out of this world!” Great service too, the staff were wonderful - will definitely add this place to our favourites.

We were staying nearby. The food was freshly cooked and excellent. Even the salad was fresh which is rare at a lot of places. It was like being in someone’s front room but the service was really attentive without being over the top. The price was good too.

Good vibes and great place for family of 60 Yr olds and 30 year old nephew, who love pizza. Drinks weren't pushed at us but water offered straight away. Cocktail menu fun. We stuck to beer and softies. Fantastic choice of pizzas with unusual toppings. So something for all. Pizzas and salads arrived promptly The sauce is very good and topping great along with base. Just perfect for a fussy person. Very accommodating and cheerful staff. Especially our waitress whom we didn't catch the name. She suggested extra spoons for the one who didn't order desert. Tirimisu & cream & chocolate brownie with salted caramel icecream ordered by the boys. Excellent and good sized portions. Just would have liked to see some different deserts to usual but saying that they were very tasty. Plenty of tables and fun out door space which we have sat in last summer. Fun evening glad we took my sis & hubby there as she agreed that food and atmosphere is as good as we'd said having been to Soho a couple of times before. Son loves it here so Thankyou all we'll be back 😊 Book and go everyone!

Lovely Cafe, brilliant selection of food and drinks, very tasty too ! Relaxed atmosphere and fab friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town!

I've been going to Mela since I was young and the staff are brilliant. Food is great and never have any problems. Thanks Mela. Also my best compliments to Mohan and Raj, always lovely to speak with and receive the best service out of them, couldn't get better.
