Soho in Christchurch

We had an early Christmas lunch on Sun at Soho about 20 of us… Hats off to Chris and all the staff they done a fantastic job. Tables were all decorated up ready for a Christmas lunch,and it didn’t disappoint,the food was superb as was the service,all topped of with great live music from Ray Foster. Top afternoon And Merry Christmas 🎅

Came in for lunch as visiting the local area, very busy Tuesday was a little worried not enough staff but our server was lovely, she was more than happy to omit foods from the orders and kept a high standard of service the whole meal. Really enjoyed our lunch, thank you

No record of my booking but as lots of tables available, we got seated. Pizzas were lovely but table hadn't been laid, poor waitress became rushed off her feet as it got busier. Music was much too loud for conversation.

Excellent place for a delicious meal.... nicely decorated,vibe was amazing,there was live music (Sunday afternoon)+the crispy housin duck pizza is to die for.... highly recommended

This is a special treat for us and we always visit Soho for the superb Duck and Hoisin sauce pizza. Beautifully cooked with friendly and very helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone.

We called in at lunchtime with 2 adults and 2 children. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The drinks came quickly and the food didn't take to long also. The food was very nice and wpuld definitely go there again

Managed to get a table upstairs over the carnival week end without booking, very lucky and much appreciated. And what a treat ! From the man who found us a table to the waiter and waitresses👍🏻 Most enjoyable evening with my wife and daughter, and to top It off the food was fantastic. We just had coffee and wine. It was lovely, the young nan who served us was friendly, helpful and efficient! Well done that man, wish I'd asked his name. Lovely place to spend an afternoon.

We visited Soho last year for evening cocktails and sat upstairs where we enjoyed the great views and lovely ambience. Back again this year for brekkie! Another enjoyable experience with great service from the friendly ladies who looked after us. The food was good and the atmosphere buzzing! Thank you, I’m sure we will be back next time we visit Christchurch!

Sunday lunch absolutely fantastic great service Ham hock

We've been to Soho on numerous occasions over the years and had good service and good food . Today the service was excellent. My husband is an invalid and has to use a mobility scooter. When we arrived, we hadn't booked, with the mobility scooter, there were no problems of getting a table and we were able to bring the scooter inside too! Once we had finished the meal the young waiter assisted my husband to get the him and the mobility scooter out of the restaurant again. I would like to thank the waitress who showed us to our table and the young waiter who served for their kind understanding and empathy. We have not always received this in other establishments!

We had a fantastic meal with brilliant service, I would highly recommend it.

Hostile aggy doormen. Went with a group of friends. Them in summer dresses and trainers and me in shorts and trainers, it being one of the hottest days of the year. The power hungry little manlet at the door refused me entry on dress code and wouldn’t allow me to even enter the venue to discuss with them. Treated me like I was causing trouble for simply wanting to communicate with my party. Very unpleasant and poor choice for a decent bar in a supposedly laid back area.

Absolutely incredible food!! To quote my mum; 'best pizza I've ever had'. It was a really great atmosphere, great tunes played throughout the entire night, cocktails/mocktails available. We pre ordered food as there were 20 of us, and it all came out at the same time. Would definitely recommend, especially for birthday celebrations.

Cosy cafe in the heart of Christchurch. Great cakes and a lovely cup of tea. The all-day breakfast is fabulous.

The place was lovely, all 3 of us ordered the crab salad but when the order was put through there was only one portion left. So we had to choose something else. I had the Caesar salad which was actually delicious my friend had the cheese burger but without the cheese but they got this wrong and it arrived with the cheese had to be remade. They couldn't apologise enough but not been able to complete our order correctly.

A really well established bar and restaurant. Always busy at weekends, summer or winter. Music and dancing in the weekend. Had some food on last visit, pizzas were very tasty.

Had a great evening here on Saturday night Likely great atmosphere. . Dj wasn't that great couldn't hold the dance floor. . But apart from that great venue

Enjoyed the delicious Pizzas on a Sunday evening special. Fabulous ambience & friendly, excellent service. Loved the selection of toppings offered on the menu. Highly recommended. Will definitely return & try to visit again when they have live music.

Very unsure about polices terrible information about visiting .Casual then dress nicely or you can’t come in ,over 21 after 10 but then it’s at 9 .under 21 can enter before .Very confusing and snobby attitude

Hi all, 4 of us went here on the 3/3/2024 for Sunday lunch also to listen to the jazz band. I must say it was a brilliant visit food was amazing jazz band were amazing well done to all at Soho for a brilliant afternoon.

Wow. What a wee find. Food all fresh and tasty. Staff efficient. An older crowd here on the Sunday. Live music. The place was jumping to be fair. I did not expect this when I walked in. Great place. We will travel back to Christchurch to come here again. Definitely recommend.

My girlfriend went here with friends and was kicked out and humiliated by door staff yet again due to a prior justifiable understandable complaint made on here from 8 months before, with no apology from the bar or door staff.

The service was fab this evening for our party of 10, friendly & attentive. Unfortunately we found the food to be quite mediocre, we had garlic bread starter which we found quite dry and we had a Julio pizza which again was dry and bland, I’d not eaten at Soho for years and had heard good things but have to say I was a little disappointed. We had mixed reviews on our table for the food. Personally I wasn’t overly impressed. It has a nice atmosphere and again the staff were wonderful.

We had my mum's wake in the function rooms upstairs and it was first class. We chose to have an afternoon tea buffet served which was delicious and included lovely vegan cakes and sandwiches. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and I highly recommend this venue for a private function.

We had a private party of 48 people for a 3 course Christmas dinner with a Mediterranean twist. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Very friendly staff. I recommend this restaurant.

Again another excellent experience, with a great setting and lovely food... Booked a table Via Google, easy as you like. Rang to amend the booking as more people came along managed to fit us all in. Service and food were excellent... Will visit again when in the area. Edit, Yet another great visit... Place was packed with a private party and Christmas meals going on, yet service was quick and attentive. Thanks for fitting us in also. See you again soon.

I’ve been here a few times lately, as food is so good. Service always very slow though, need more staff. Waited to get served, and left in the end

Eff me this place has changed! Gone is the DJ booth and the pissed up millennials, in is more tables, middle aged, middle class dining and service with a smile 😃. Fantastic in my book.

Well…what an experience that was! Service was good and couldn’t fault. The food on the other hand was disgusting and I think the “pizza chef” needs to give up his day job. Dough needs fermentation and love, this dough was rushed, likely made today and why all the semolina? It really was inedible and I resorted to a pack of quavers instead.

We went here for our Grandson’s 21 st birthday party with family, it was brilliant, the food was excellent and plentiful the staff were kind and courteous and extremely helpful. The food was well cooked and fresh, we could actually watch them in the kitchen. Would recommend this venue. As Grandparents we didn’t stay for the nightclub, but the youngsters did and apparently it was good.

What a superb place . Just spent a lovely Sunday afternoon there listening to a super band , KC Jones Band. Great atmosphere in lovely surroundings with courteous and helpful bar staff. I've often walked past this place but never given it a second thought. That's all changed now and I've already booked a table for myself and a group of friends in a couple of weeks time .

We love the food, service and atmosphere of this place! Have been there several occasions now and each time have been impressed. Sometimes there is live music which is a nice touch too

So far I‘ve only been here in the afternoon and haven’t tried the food yet but the staff are very welcoming and the Hot Chocolate Grand Deluxe is amazing!

Lovely quaint beautiful decor friendly staff and knowledgeable about their current local menus and drink pairings. Food is exquisite and God sized portions especially for the price!! Will definitely be returning.

Amazing roasts, enjoyed by all - great service. Live music, playing all the right things. Obviously enjoyed by locals, which is important. Only criticism, if in a group, as we were, impossible to carryout any conversation as very loud. However, Roast compensated for his, but noise level could be reduced slightly.

Visited for lunch on a recommendation from our hotel. Portions were big, had the Soho rarebit off the specials board and the chicken and bacon salad. Both nice. Coffee was creamy and tasty. Helpful attentive staff, nice atmosphere and close to the Priory.

Food is amazing! Best pizza in UK. Music was a little bit louder but it's okay. Prices are normal. Service express. And it's close to everything there what you want to see!

What a fabulous place! Our lunch was so tasty. Delicious soup and salad. I am celiac and they were so helpful and the menu offered a good few options, even wood fired pizza . The staff were professional and friendly . I would highly recommend Soho.

So guys, The staff and the ambient are really nice but: - Napoli style pizza is completely different and is actually regulated by the AVPN association, which I don't think you're a member of. I would in future change the menu as it's very misleading; - I got the wrong pizza (and I accepted it) however it would have been nice to give me a discount or a free coffee at the end as an apology but ok nevermind; -overall I think I'll come back to try something different and give it another go but as things stand now I would not recommend it, sorry.

Just been for lunch here at Soho, food was amazing couldn't want for anything else, we had the Mediterranean roasts.Also listening to Susie singing and Ian on the sax. A lovely Sunday afternoon! Well done Soho would definitely recommend, we will be back again!

A family favourite. Good menu for adults and children. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Sunday lunch has never disappointed. Good choice of food and drinks.

Stepped in off the street on spec with no special expectations. However we were delighted by the immediate and friendly greeting. This boded well, as did the cleanliness and cheerful efficency that we saw around us. We were actually too late for brunch, but a bit early for lunch. However our waitress offered us coffee and came back to us as soon as the kitchen re-opened (the chef was on his own in the kitchen and understandably needed the break). We both had slightly different versions of the lunch special and it was fantastic. We will be making a beeline for Soho in the future!

I did like this place. Friendly and a nice interior. Pizza looked good, although on this occasion I'd already eaten.

Greeted by a huge smile, choice of table, excellent service from such a happy young lady who was polite and friendly. Owner also came over to check all was good … and it was !! Food was superb , fresh , hot , tasty and great price. Thank you very much Soho you never disappoint. Pizzas are fabulous. Well recommend it here.

Great cafe Christchurch centre, outside seating also. Nearby parking and lots of shops.

Sunday is more of a relaxed menu. Had blue cheese, onion and steak pizza the base is so very thin that you can really taste the toppings. Live music which you don't get in a lot of places while you enjoy your meal.

My favourite pizza around and the side salad is something else, yes the side salad! Nice attentive staff and lovely decor inside. Good selection of drinks and equally good for breakfast, coffee and cake to an evening meal. Its my go to place when I have guests visiting

Popped in for an after dinner drink. What a fantastic experience! Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We are not from Christchurch and couldn’t have been made to feel more at home. Staff clearly get on with each other and create a wonderful atmosphere. The manger was lovely and told us about the bar and local history. We will be back! Great baileys coffees - what’s not to love.

I continue to be very impressed. Staff always friendly and helpful. Sunday mediterranean roast (the chicken) was delicious, so colourful, and value for money. Enjoyed last Sunday's singer, Susie Kimber.

Soho is probably no secret in Christchurch, but just had the most perfect family meal, the food was amazing with great portion size, the food was only topped by the service real care real attention. Highly recommended.

I ordered the chicken and bacon salad . Very little balsamic vinegar and the chicken was very dry. Quite disappointed as the waitress and Surroundings was fab.

We visited Soho for a family lunch, such an amazing place. The food and drinks were excellent (amazing pizzas!) and the service was fantastic, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Had a lovely lunch here on 20th July. The lady showing us to the table was lovely. Very helpful and friendly. As was the lady who served us at the table. What great staff! The food was fabulous. Both myself and my daughter had Pizza's which were gorgeous. Such unusual flavour options which is what got me here in the first place. Only too happy to box the rest for us to take home for tea. Will definitely be back to try more. Only strange thing was the receipt charged £3 for orange juice yet the menu on the table and the menu online says £2.80

Went for a Meal and we had a Lovely Meal and the staff was Friendly. Lovely Restaurant. We are on Holiday but will visit again.

Nice enough location. But food disappointing, Tomatoes and cucumber had obviously been prepared much much earlier and then the goats cheese salad was smothered with cranberry jam. Why? Goats cheese and asparagus were fine but the rest a bit tasteless. Sweet potato chips okay but regular fries too lightly cooked and again tasteless. Chicken bacon burger kinda all right, nothing special and perhaps a little greasy. Service okay but all rather confusing.

We had a really lovely lunch here. Perfect place to hide from the rain. Great, friendly service. Didn't have to wait too long for food and we're able to takeaway what we didn't eat.

Beef burger is the best thing But the chicken burgers and the pizza are good, but maybe they have sauces that don't suit me because I don't really like sauces. The prices are a little expensive We took two bags with pizza and two drinks, and the bill came out to be 50 pounds

There was also live music. We enjoyed every moment there

Our experience of Soho was good and bad. My husband was pleased with his pizza, although it was a little too rich (chicken, bacon, sausage and cheese - but his choice). He even liked the patter of the waitress. The mocktail was too sweet and...
