Very good pub. Not one of these modern lounge places.

Great staff great Sunday dinner friendly atmosphere

Never eaten there, so I can't comment on the food but see plenty of empty plates. Need to be patient on Friday afternoons from around 4pm

Staff are friendly, good ales on offer. The food is mainly microwave meals. There is a fast car charger but it’s expensive

Convivial tv sports pub. Run out of Guinness, bitters and bottles of ales at weekends. Losing trade.

I,with my daughter and her partner, went to the Stourvale to watch the rugby, had really good time, and I shall be going again this Saturday.

We visited on 12th October we had food whilst there and I must say it was delicious I had the chicken tikka and the kids had off the kids menu burger and the other had korma and the wife had Hunters chicken the staff where great the drinks we awesome and the new landlord and landlady we so friendly and as soon as we walked in we feeled welcome. Have recommended to friends and family also it seems very sporty too which I love

Great night out, food is okay, nothing amazing. Lovely boy behind the bar, wearing basketball gear, looked bizarre but good service

Electric charge brilliant and fast still had time to grab a drink too.

Called in when passing, had a lovely home cooked lunch, there's a great choice of drinks, friendly and welcoming staff

Enjoy my visit. Not been here before. Bar clean . Toilets easily accessible . Good beer , good food . What more do you need ?

A proper pub, they're aren't many left

Food is excellent and of the highest quality. Pie was saucy and came with extra gravy which paired well with the chunky chips. Veg is clearly fresh and from the local market. I love the Stourvale for backing our Great British farmers.

Great pub that provide a full food menu to cater for all taste. The pub also offers regular live music with great bands everymonth, weekly Thursday quiz and plenty of sports. Lovely service and pleasant atmosphere. There is also a free customer car park in front of the pub with plenty of spaces.

Great and well managed pub that provides good food at sensible prices. The establishment also offers monthly live music for its customers from solo musicianas to bands. Lovely service and great location. There is also a large customer car park which is always a bonus. Highly recommended!

Great bar, with a good vibe. I performed there with my band SERENIFORM a few months ago.The bar staff and customers were super friendly and together we rocked the house until I could sing and saxophone no longer. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good night out and awesome live music. Hope to cya again soon Stourvale!!!! Big love Jay

Not really a food venue, more of a sports, local pub. However food was great value and really great quality. Great range of beers and cider, cheapest in Christchurch. Well worth popping in, especially to watch rugby or football. Jamie and the rest of the tam were really welcoming and friendly.

10/10 experience and the bald guy behind the bar touched me with his generosity. He also is very attractive and serves me good headed pints.

Had a meal tonight. Cheaper than most places. Admittedly very busy but there was no eye contact or welcome just frantic pump pulling. Beer was nice, coffee was warm had a kind of greenish residue floating in the centre but it stirred in. No milk was provided so a journey back to the bar in to the queue. Food came in 20 minutes with just a fork so another journey back to the bar into the queue. The chips were dark brown and looked totally oil sodden- warmed up leftovers l think, some peas were brownish. Very disappointing experience, they were so busy no one came to ask us about our meal, no one else was eating, l now know why. Steak was nice as was the chicken, best not serve food if the level of service and quality is like this at busy times.

Love this pub. No frills but well presented food. Staff are always friendly and happy to go above and beyond. Unlike my experience in another pub.

Good beer, great atmosphere. Just had my Christmas party here with a group of friends. The food was lovely,we had the festive menu which was very reasonably priced. The service was amazing too. I was pleasantly surprised seeing as they are a wet pub. Would definitely return for our Christmas party next year.

Great pub, great atmosphere, great people. Not many pubs like this left!! Good food, live sports, meat draw, quiz night and some superb bands and acts appearing. Keep an eye on their FB page for what is happening. Well worth a visit :-)

Great pub but the toilets are always broken

It's close enough to walk to so no problem about a designated driver. On a warm summers day sitting outside with a cold Beverage is a good way to end the day. It's on a main road so don't expect a river frontage. But the staff are cheery and service is good. The regulars are a happy bunch and the atmosphere is what a pub should be. Use it or loose it. Support your local pub.

Stopped off for lunch, friendly pub, great service and food was good and very reasonably priced.

For a local pub it's got everything you need with a really nice vibe, beer garden! Dog friendly 🐶

Came out for a spot of lunch during my working break. Had a pint of RazorBack and Mixed grill which was cooked to perfection by Dan i believe. Locals seemed like a chatty bunch and all in high spirits. all in all the entire pub had a brilliant atmosphere about it and i will be sure to return soon. Keep up the great work.

Came here Monday for some lunch as the pub down the road was closed was thoroughly surprised at the quality of food, the chef on shift did not disappoint all meals came out promptly and everything was piping hot and delicious. 10/10 from us 😊 deffo coming back for food in the future!

We booked a table online for 7 of us at 18:30, this included 3 hungry children. We step in the pub to find it packed. I go to the bar to say I have a table booking to be told they no longer take online bookings. Why on earth would you allow me to book then and not just let me know before hand. We was told by someone called Dan we could sit at the table on the corner. It had 2 chairs so really not helpful. This was a massive inconvenience as trying to find somewhere else with availability took a further 2 hours and was at a vast expense. I do plan to take this further as it must be the worse service I have ever experienced. Absolutely disgraceful.

I've been coming to this pub for ages now and every time the staff have been very welcoming and friendly the food is always great definitely recommend this pub and if your local don't forget the amazing meat draw you won't be disappointed on a side note the staff remember there locals and always make my son feel welcome he normally struggles with eating out because of he's complex needs but the staff go above and beyond to him feel comfortable

Absolutely a joke, booked about 4.30pm arrived about 7pm to be told no food served .. rude bar staff.. absolutely avoid .

Had a burnt pie last week asked for a medium cooked steak no chips by the time chips arrived I was nearly finished. Will try Iford Bridge next time.

This pub was recommended to me by a work colleague and I must tell you I was not disappointed, from the moment I walked in nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent and the service impeccable, it was that good I returned the following night, top class 5 stars

Went for Sunday roast as stated on website but they didn’t have any when I got there. So had very nice chicken masala. Had directors bitter and black razor beer. Very nice. I booked table online but was told when I arrive that no need to book table as they don’t reserve tables.

This place is lovely and friendly! I sang there and would definitely go again!! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming and I had the best time!

Had a great time performing at Billy James' songwriting showcase at the Stourvale. It was a lively and friendly venue.

Such an incredible night of Original music hosted by the amazing Billy James. Billy takes care of his musicians so well, always on standby to adjust sound production. And it was so lovely hearing and being apart of fresh new music and supporting our local talent. Can't wait until the next one. Such a great vibe at Stourvale, everyone so encouraging and engaged in the music.

Ok pub food only spoilt by constant foul language by other local clientele, felt landlord could have requested they tone it down, would not be in a hurry to return.

Stourvale is to be commended for its support in live music. Its a pleasure to go there. Bar staff are friendly and welcoming.

The food was good, the service was good and the person who served us was helpful and friendly. It was a trifle noisy because the football was on but otherwise we had a good time. The venue is very nice, a typical pub. But I do wish they would make sure the tables and the menus were wiped down after the last people leave! They were very sticky. Thanks Sheena

Overpriced. Brought a double vodka redbull. Was charged 2.85 for a 250ml can which they used half of and kept the other half. Absolute joke. Food seems okay but drinks are an absolute rip off. Would rather walk an extra 50 meters to the iford pub

This pub is great for a quick meal friendly staff . Couldn't fault the meal it was cooked perfect . Value for money

Me and my wife popped in around 6pm, had two girls working behind the bar. One of the girls were lovely and polite, remember my wife complementing her purple hair. The other girl was too busy talking to her friends to see my wife waiting at the bar, and the lovely one was already serving a customer, but she still took the time to take my wife’s order at the same time which we both really appreciated and a place like this needs more of this one staff member.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. We turned up at lunchtime, just as we happened to be passing The staff were super friendly with just the right amount of humour to make you feel welcome. The food came out in good time, actually, pretty quickly, but it was quiet, was piping hot and tasted fantastic. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Good things first. Friendly staff, and seemed to have a good community feel with the locals. Good for sport as lots of TVs but the food for terrible. My hunters chicken was burnt and rock hard. The steak and ale pie was tasty but soft as all the food is cooked in the microwave. The mash was instant and the gravy had thick skin on it all microwaved. The chips were nice and crispy. We were in and out in 35 minutes so this is not really a place for food and none of the locals were eating either. Maybe a good pub for drinking and sport but I won’t be eating there again but we tried it as it is one of our locals so after nearly 40 years we thought we would give it a go but no thanks not again

The pub is such a cosy environment and the staff are amazing, had a real lovely talk with Nixy, it’s good to see a smile on the staffs faces. Would definitely recommend the rump steaks!!!

This pub is absolutely amazing feels like a family that connects with each other and to have a laugh with. They took great care of me and I do have to say Kip and Ben were very quick and sufficient and was very happy with the service I was given. 100% recommend and I also heard Kip makes an amazingly mixed grill so if your a fan of a good juicy meal I’d highly recommend. STOURVALE!!!!

The Stourvale doesn't take table bookings so how we were able to book on line is beyond me! They do serve food but not the menu shown on line so we left feeling very disappointed and hungry.
