Visited Monday afternoon, attracted by the owners sign that the desserts were home made. I had a chat with the owners about tiramisu.. My experience was based on a visit to a small pub/hotel in Wales 35 years ago where the owner/chef said it was his signature dish. The incredible taste has stayed with me all these years. My wife tried it for the first time 3 weeks ago after listening to me for all these years. She loved it. The lady in the shop said theirs is made with love. Brought some and tried it at home. Pleased to say it was a total taste success. Hopefully we can visit when we have more time.

First time in Christchurch. Needed a coffee and happened into Roma! What a find. Great coffee and the little lemon pastries are a delight. Before leaving I just had to buy some of the deli selection to take home. Anchovies, aubergines, prosciutto, burrata....... supper sorted and everything was amazing. Lovely owners who really know their products and were so welcoming. Do pay them a visit - well worth it, a little piece of Itay.

This is exactly the sort of place that needs to be cherished. It is absolutely tiny and on a busy road but it is a small slice of Italy. I have visited here many times, mostly for great coffee and sometimes for the incredible food but sometimes just to look at the shelves and remember great holidays in Italy. Wonderful. I think it may now be called Roma but it still seems rather lovely to me.

A proper delectable find in the heart of christchurch. My first visit left such an impression that I went back the following day and bought exactly the same lunch. Everything was made fresh to order and my current favourite is the tuna and spring onion ciabatta. The cakes are mouthwateringly good and the selection of italian soft drinks are vast. There is so much more to this deli than sandwiches. The proprietor gives a very personal service and for a one-woman band keeps her cool very well when the shop gets busy. I rank this as my favourite eating venue in Christchurch.

Found this small delicatessen when in Christchurch last week. The proprietor was delightful and welcoming. My partner and I each had a different salad. They were absolutely delicious and plentiful and in our opinion reasonably priced. The proprietor was attentive and helpful and she made the visit a joy. We looked forward to having another meal and returned a couple of days later. We were equally delighted. What matters for me is the ambience, the service and the food. In our experience all were a real pleasure.

A lovely lunch stop, the food all being homemade on the premises by the friendly owner. The minestrone soup was bursting with veg & pasta & my husband's meatball sandwich very tasty. Having seen the reviews here on TripAdvisor we decided to pay the cafe a visit. Unfortunately the minestrone soup was tasteless; the veg were over cooked and we were given sachets of salt and pepper! No hint of herbs, garlic or any seasoning. Disappointing. The ciabatta was lovely however. The owner was lovely and very welcoming but we were there to enjoy our lunch and were sorely disappointed. The meatballs were like warm and tasteless too.

I have written before about how good Sarah's Siena's is for eating in house and also for taking away when we have a large party to consider. This month again I was catering for vegetarian tastes but for the first time we needed to cater for one of our family who has a severe reaction to nuts. Sarah can do what a lot of places cannot (probably on legal advice) which is to definitely say which of her many goodies are nut free. I always enjoy my visits as I can take my time in thinking about my guests, chatting to Sarah, and choosing what best suits. Thus another great looking and tasting spread - without me having to worry about checking any small print on allergy advice.

This lovely little delicatessen is situated on the main thoroughfare to the Priory. There is a large selection of Italian meats and cheeses, plus Ciabatta rolls made to order with whatever filling you choose, mix and match to your own taste. No skimping on fillings. There are also Lasagne, Jacket potatoes, Pasta salad and other choices. Also a selection of good quality cold fruit juices and San Pellegrino cans. Plus great coffee. The lady who served us was a joy, nothing was too much trouble, and when my daughter asked for extra olives, she got them at no extra cost. Worse was to come however, we walked into the shop gave our order of 1x cappuccino 1x Moca & chose 2cakes....on turning to go outside the once empty table had been taken......The lady that took the table shouted from the door her coffee order....we stood in disbelief as the said two coffees were delivered to the table......it seems no table no service .......such a shame, was our regular favourite coffee stop & fantastic place originally .......wondering if the owner has had to reduce seating as seems such a backward step....or maybe had become to busy for her to run, she always seemed to thrive on being so busy however.......wondering what will happen in winter ?

The delicatessen produce has been a delight in 2014, and continues so to be in 2015 - we enjoy particularly the Italian salamis, Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, artichoke hearts, Chianti sausages... and the service is friendly but never pushy. We enjoyed lunches here in 2014, too - splendid plates of antipasti, excellent home-made lasagnas, Aberdeen Angus meatballs, tomato sauces, hearty home-made soups. The coffee is very good, and the home-made cakes and tarts always 'a cut above'. I honestly have never bought anything from here, so I realise you would think I have no reason to write a review however I do as it's quite simple.I went in there one day to see what it was all about as I was tempted by all the cured meats hanging from the ceiling..only to find out that they were all fake, and the only real things which were 'homemade' were a small selection of side dishes like coleslaw, some biscuits and a Dorset apple cake.I wasn't that impressed and I don't think any self respecting Italian would call any of that Italian produce not withstanding the lady serving who was the owner said that she wasn't Italian either.

This place is bellisimo! The walnut pesto is to die for, if you are stopping to eat in Christchurch then try their superb antipasti for lunch - a great sharing platter of meats, cheeses, olives, breads, pesto and all sorts of lovely tasting treats. The service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We always get a take home bag of new things to try.

We had a few days in Christchurch and came across this lovely delicatessan on Church Street. Lovely lady served us with real Italian fare in a real Italian way. A fabulous selection of Italian cured meats and the homemade bakewells was delicious. We only picked up enough for a couple of picnics but there were people enjoying real coffee and snacks all freshly prepared. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Whilst visiting the area for my wife's birthday, I wanted some where to go for lunch, so decided to check trip advisor and found this deli. My wife wasn't so sure to begin with but we decided to stay. We ordered two Italian meat sandwiches and two coffee's and we were not disappointed. Both meal were tasty and the coffee was lovely. The owners behind the counter were very friendly and very accommodating, after our sandwiches we also had some cake all of which were homemade. I had the Bakewell tart which was one of the best I've ever had and my wife had lemon citrus cake which she also thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is going to Christchurch and I will be going back

This coffee house and eatery is just great. All the wonderful dressed salads we love to eat plus artichokes, olives, peppers, sundried tomatoes etc. The homebakes on offer are really super too.For me though a great Italian expresso with pastries that are different and morish to eat, finish off my savoury choice. If we lived in this area I think I would go every day!!

Sometimes you just get lucky...the high street is full of little eateries and restaurants ...but we decided to sit outside this little delicatessen and watch the world go by right near the entrance to the church. The owner told us she had just got a Bakewell tart out of the oven ..so I decided to have a big slice of that with my coffee....my wife had a slice of Pear and Almond tart with cream.it turns out the lady who owns Siena's cooks all the cakes and much more herself.... My Bakewell was .the best I have ever had...............my wife loved her tart. Both were just superbIts not been a great food week....perhaps I expect this .but now and again you strike gold..this was one of those times. Go and eat their wonderful food.....Ok its just coffee and a bun but it was close to perfection.!

I have only just started visiting Sienna's as whenever I went past there before it was always full and it turns out to be no surprise that it is so popular. Haven't actually eaten there, as have only stopped for drinks before but the welcome is always warm and friendly and seems genuine, and the comments from other customers who have taken meals there is unfailingly positive. Although usually busy, Sarah the owner is always pleased to chat to customers about her products and is clearly knowledgeable about them and justifiably proud of the quality.

I'd read good reviews, and wanted something other than a pastie or sausage roll & so I stopped by Siena's on a recent trip to Christchurch. I had a hard time choosing what I would have for lunch but the panini I settled on was delicious.

Exceptional. Bored of all the standard but overpriced breakfasts about. Thought we'd try here. Excellent choice. 13 quid fror breakfast but when I saw what I got I thought it was not bad value at all compared to other place. Great ingredients and perfectly cook. Their " home" hash brown was a beautifully cooked rosti type potato. It was lovely. Poached egg could not have been better. All in all one of, if not the best breakfast I've ever had. Add the great staff and super warm comfortable surroundings and it definitely falls into the " exceptional " category. Excellent job. Bravo !

We had a quick lunch at the Cuckoo cafe. The jacket spuds, beans and smoked ham was just right and presented well on the plate. My husband enjoyed his brie, bacon and cranberry panine. The staff are always friendly, welcoming you with a smile.

Excellent pub about ten minutes walk from Christchurch Railway Station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild and a stout. Very friendly and helpful staff and customers.
