Visiting from Largs Scotland nice friendly staff. Good menu quality ingredients haggis toastie with salad and fries also tuna cheese melt with salad and fries well presented hot and tasty. This was my second visit to Cuckoos. The service and food is lovely. I'd recommend their little restaurant highly. Make sure to book a table however.

Breakfast and drinks were done well and staff were nice too. Good for gluten free which was a plus too, however only niggle was the quality of the sausages and should be changed and my preference would be to be cooked longer as little light.

Popped in here for a quick sandwich. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had bacon cheese and onion chutney panini. Came with a lovely side salad and crisp garnish. Was very tasty and definitely recommend 👌

Visited due to good Tripadvisor review & not disappointed. Small cafe which was very busy inside so sat outside. Quick service and decent menu. Had a full English breakfast & pot of tea. Food was very good. Recommend this nice cafe.

Well, this was a surprise and a pleasant one to boot. This is a golden nugget in Christchurch. The tea we had was very good and the cake my wife had was lovely. Everywhere else we tried had teeny tiny tray bake cakes "one bite and it is gone" but Cuckoo's have proper cake slices. And I found it very good value for money.

Staff were so friendly... Food was great, we all had a full English breakfast one day and then went back and had a full Scottish the next day as the food and service was so good.... Would HIGHLY recommend anyone to use this place to eat... Oh, the cakes looked amazing even though we didn't have any !!...

Another gem discovered on our Dorset break . Small but friendly . Great food lovely Staff and Coffee fabulous. We visited twice . After first chance visit we returned and travelled 10 miles to do so . Lovely place

We’ve been a few times for breakfast and always amazing food. You wouldn’t leave hungry. High quality food and really substantial portion sizes. It’s great to have a different choice for breakfast. We’ve tried Spanish eggs, Scottish breakfast and avocado on toast. All delicious!

Away on business, found this Gem. You locals are very lucky to have such a great cafe.I had haggis and cheese omelette yesterday, and today I had to go back and have their Scottish large breakfast, both were a delight. Brilliant. Always lovely in Cuckoos. They didn't have the vegan cream tea available when I visited, but they had plenty of other options including the savoury tea.

Had a delicious breakfast here (check out their other cafe in Mudeford) Coffees were great and it’s dog-friendly as well which is pawfect

There were 15 of us, and we had amazing service from start to finish. I contacted them over Facebook, and they asked for orders the evening before which was very understandable. The menu was varied and a whole menu dedicated to vegans was a bonus for our group. The drinks were ordered on the day from an good range on the board, and these were delivered quickly. What I was most impressed with was that all of the food came out at the same time so all 15 of us ate together. Everyone commented how good the food tasted. The staff even worked out the dividing of the bill which was a bonus!

Great breakfast at a good price. Had the Scottish breakfast, partner had a scottish sausage sandwich. Nice to get a proper Scottish breakfast with great coffee. Quantity, quality & price are very reasonable. People seem to forget prices have gone up everywhere. I would say this was actually on the cheaper side. Will definitely be returning again. We always visit Cuckoos when in Christchurch. Lovely cooked breakfasts and the porridge is very good too.

Called in for early lunch and we were delighted by the friendly welcome in this family run coffee bar. Wide range of choices on the menu beyond the inevitable chain items and husband pleased to find a haggis baguette available. I had avocado with poached egg and we were very happy with our choices.

Read reviews which were excellent but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The sausage was a very cheap supermarket texture and the toast barely saw the taster. Very expensive for what was received. Had an excellent breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was nearly half the price which had seeded white & brown thick toast which could have been a meal in itself. Sorry cuckoos nest will not be returning.

Have been in Mudeford since April and stable coffee/breakfast has been Caffè Nero as friendly for dogs. Breakfast was good, black pudding the highlight as very well cooked, sausages were a little blah, no taste to them and just wish they had a little more flavour/herbs as for the price of the breakfast this was the only disappointment! Very berry smoothie was delicious. If you want a cheap breakfast head to Kelly’s Kitchen but for a nicer full English/Scottish worth the extra walk - just please at least offer proper breakfast sausages just as you can have variety of eggs!

A really lovely place to have an early breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was smashing. After an awful night's sleep at a local hotel this cafe was just what my daughter and I needed to cheer up our day. Sadly we are not local, but If we are ever in the area again, we would 100% come back.

This family cafe has become our regular when on holiday down here. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate you. There always busy and the food is very nice for a good price too.

We were greeted with a very friendly welcome when we walked in and the excellent service continued throughout. Perfect selection of lunch options, and a really nice, relaxed set up. Great place for a lunch stop if you're in Christchurch. We had the bacon and brie and hummus and roasted vegetable panninis which were both delicious and came with a tasty side salad. We were too full for the cakes but they looked amazing so will try those next time!

Been here a few times and it was good, but like so many cafes they have raised prices and reduced the quality of there food. Had a omelette , salad and chips for £11. The omelette only had two eggs, with a small dry packet salad and a few chips. I felt sorry for the chief as we all no to make a good eggy omelette you need to use a minimum of three eggs. I feel that for £11 there is still plenty of profit to be had even if three eggs are used and fresh salad is given to the customer. On this visit the food presented was not good like on previous visits, standards need to be raised.

The breakfast is great and never disappoints. I moved out of the Bournemouth area 10 years ago but this is one of my first whistle stops when I come back to see my mum. My mum is Scottish and given this cafes Scottish roots, she loves to go there when I'm home. The big Scottish breakfast is fantastic and the produce used is second to none given that it comes directly from there! Can't speak highly enough, everyone must visit!!

Slightly underwhelmed with the catering sausages and mushrooms. All a little bit squishy and oily but still pleasant. If you are really hungry I would recommend ordering more beans and other items as the portions are smaller than most cafes. Would I pay £10 again, maybe not. Defo be back for coffee & home made cake. Recommended so visited for breakfast. Very popular I have noticed over the years. Seating capacity rather a small although on pleasant days there is outside bistro tables. Food excellent especially the Cuckoos Breakfast. Staff make every effort to make your visit worthwhile
