Restaurant was obviously really busy. The driver got our orders mixed up - not his fault as my order receipt was attached to the wrong bag. Changed it over after a phone call with the restaurant, but then found my order was missing an item. After all this, the food wasn’t great - not helped by the time it spent in the box on the back of a bike, I think the driver was delivering 5 other orders. Pretty sure this is the last time I order with this place. Shame.
I have never been disappointed with any branch of the Ivy; we had dinner and returned the following day for breakfast. It's hard to fault. The staff were nice and good fun. The food, as always, was nice. To be fair, the breakfast was a reasonable price, given the surroundings and not too much more than a quality cafe nearby. It was certainly a great visit.
Lovely side street, we had the raspberry and white chocolate croissants they were fabulous, coffee and hot chocolate was good too. So nice we returned on our departure day especially to pick up some freshly made sourdough and rosemary focaccia loaves.

Don’t bother unless u like being looked at like excrement on someone’s shoe. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t bother getting it. I’m not paying someone who treats me like an inconvenience. Very rude lady. I ignored the negative reviews and thought I’d try it myself but clearly she hasn’t took any feedback about her rudeness. Interior is nice but atmosphere is ruined by hostility. I understand we all have off days but it’s clearly a repeating issue. She said it’s ready ‘and what price’ I said it’s not about the money it’s about the poor service. I used a different word to poor.
The Ale house is a great pub with good vibes and a welcoming staff. It is a perfect place to chill and hang out with people after a long day walking arround every corner of this beautiful city.

I got there at 7pm, It's meant to be open until 9pm and I was told I won't be served because they're closing early. If it was a one off I wouldn't have complained but this isn't the 1st time this has happened to me where I enter and I'm told by an employee that they're done for the day despite it being nowhere near closing hours.
The Rising Sun is under new ownership and I’m pleased to see it seems on the way back to its former glory. The pub is undergoing some much needed renovations.
We had a really good meal there and very enjoyable evening, the menu isn’t huge but what was on offer cooked well and very good quality. All washed down with an equally good bottle of Malbec.
