Ordered cocktails from heaven and not overly expensive The tea arrived and wow what an afternoon tea it was. Sorprendentemente mala experiencia de principio a fin. Reservamos un restaurante no solo por la comida, sino también por la experiencia y el ambiente. esto faltaba en todos los frentes. Llegamos al restaurante y descubrimos que la habitación en la que estábamos era muy ruidosa con un grupo de hombres muy ruidosos que obviamente habían bebido mucho. Le pedimos al gerente que nos cambiara ya que no podíamos oír hablar a ourseles y lo hizo con cortesía y profesionalismo. Comida hermosa y ambiente animado y feliz.

Reservamos para la cena. Encantadora bienvenida, amable y rápido. Directamente a nuestra mesa y un camarero muy atento. Comida bastante simple pero muy bien presentada y servida. Las zuccini frites son un gran plato social para jugar mientras esperas. La ensalada de pato estaba súper sabrosa, al igual que el linguini de langosta. Todas las comidas diferentes, todas realmente disfrutadas. Ambiente encantador y relajado.

Been in several Ivy restaurants this and the one in Leeds probably the best.Very attractive interior and good service.

Usual ambience and enjoyable food. You know what you will get in an Ivy and this doesn't disappoint.

Our Friends treated us to an evening meal. Excellent choice of food....but very overpriced. We found the place quite dark.....and the toilets were a long long way from our table.

Table reservation necessary as one may have to wait for 2 hours for available table. Very busy restaurant, average service slightly slow, good food but certainly overpriced. Found tables very close to each other hence limited privacy.

This is the third Ivy restaurant we've eaten at and it certainly didn't disappoint. The food is of the usual high standard and service is also very good. Particularly enjoyed the duck salad.

Our 49th wedding anniversary lunch. Although very busy, the service was excellent. We had a good vegetarian selection and could not have been better. We will certainly return.

Decided to give the place a try on the basis we have been to the original in London but we found it a bit uninviting or wanting you to stay for a while. The service was okay but it was constantly clearing glasses and seeing if you want anything else so you were not actually relaxing.. Bar snack options were limited. Was hoping for more but got less.

We didn't know the Ivy existed in Bath, and found it unexpectedly without a reservation, but they managed to squeeze us in. Beautiful place, decoration is wonderful and the food was excellent. We really loved it

Nice place but food & overall menu was disappointing. Found myself just not wanting to order any of it. Had chicken in the end out of desperation but was in a thin gravy looking sauce which tasted very unpleasant. Greens just bland & chips with parmesan nothing tasted good & i left most of it. Starters wasnt very nice either & pudding was nice & edible but again nothing special.

We went to The Ivy with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary from the greeting on arrival to the time we left we were not disappointed, excellent service and our food was wonderful, we will be returning for more food and drink .

Gran decoración y comida maravillosa relación calidad-precio. Un poco a pie de los baños pero en general una experiencia estupenda y volveremos.

2 a visita y probablemente la última. Fuimos a comer con amigos, desde el comienzo el servicio fue indiferente. Ahora me doy cuenta de que esto debe ser porque a pesar de tener un fuerte 12. 5% de cargo por servicio, esto va para los propietarios y no para el personal. La comida era deliciosa, pero cuando pedimos la factura nos cobraron más de 200! ! Cuando señalamos esto, no hubo una disculpa profusa, simplemente "bueno, reembolsaremos eso". Ellos estaban bastante despreocupados al respecto. El personal parece estar desmoralizado y no podría importarle menos a los comensales. Es una pena, ya que es un edificio encantador con una gran decoración y la comida es buena, pero decepcionante por el servicio una vez más.

I appreciate what your trying to do but to be a good cocktail bar you need to serve good cocktails and you dont. Dull and uninspiring!

Fui allí por primera vez con grandes expectativas. El proceso de reserva estuvo bien. El restaurante en sí es encantador. El menú y la selección de bebidas fueron excelentes. Donde todo salió mal es cuando pagamos la cuenta, dejamos un punta de dinero en efectivo (por encima del consejo ya discrecional agregado a la factura) y nos vamos. A mitad de camino a casa recibí una llamada en mi móvil del restaurante diciendo que había un error en la factura y que querían los detalles de mi tarjeta de crédito por teléfono para compensar el déficit relativamente menor ya que nos habían dado la factura equivocada. He comido miles de veces y rara vez examino una factura en gran detalle, excepto para verificar la cantidad de entrantes, tomas de corriente, bebidas, etc. y, posteriormente, ser perseguido por los datos de la tarjeta de crédito en mi teléfono en el camino a casa es algo que tiene NUNCA me pasó antes. Colaboré con ellos y pagué el aparente déficit, en parte porque conducía y no le presté toda mi atención y solo quería ordenarlo y seguir con mi noche. Four of us visited for lunch. Food was plesent enough, but nothing special in terms of choice or quality. Lots of staff, but have had more attentive service in other restaurants. Overall felt like style over substance.

Went on Friday for a late lunch our waiter was slow and forgetful only got one of the two starters we ordered. Drinks order was wrong and had to be sent back. Burger ordered medium but came rare. On the table next to us the afternoon tea was dropped on the floor so we had to put up with all the cleaning up while we ate our meal, wouldn't usually complain about that but the tables are so close together so it did affect us. All in all not a great dinning experience and won't be rushing back to the Ivy in Bath. Just hope the Edinburgh branch is better as we are booked in there for Boxing Day

Had a lovely lunch here on a Friday. It's a huge, well decorated space. Food on the set menu was really good and service was attentive without being OTT. A good spot for a special occassion.

recently open- this is a brasserie not posh nosh. beautiful building in th heart of clifton village.situated in an old bank- this place is something special- great for kids- try a pre meal cocktail review the large menu- lot's of choice from steak to fish and chips- chicken milanese was very good - do try the lam on meringue pud - fantastic- grab for a special occasion and not too pricey- super staff. do give it ago if in bristol- lot's of busy bar's nearby - get a taxi and do prebook a table

La comida increíble y un valor increíble en £9 por una deliciosa pizza. Personal encantador, amable y realmente me gustó el estar al aire libre que daba al río. Encantados de haber tropezado con este lugar para almorzar hoy!

Fue el día más caluroso del año y mi pareja y yo decidimos salir un rápido almuerzo antes de volver a casa de nuestro viaje en la hermosa bañera. Pedimos una mesa y nos dijeron que sólo con sentarse en cualquier lugar, fuera presentado y no muy llena la zona de la organización de la mesas, no números de mesa, etc. La camarera joven parecía destacó como ella era la única que sirve todas las mesas fuera y aparentemente oyendo desde otra mesa cerca de este no era su trabajo habitual, pero dos personas habían llamado diciendo y por lo tanto tuvo que sustituir. Ella era muy agradable, pero yo sólo quería estrechar su y decirle a parada ya que era muy saltos obvio a todos los clientes que estaba estresado. Ella llegó, tomó nuestra orden de comida y bebidas y la izquierda. Las bebidas eran servidas por un joven que también parecía estresado. La comida se servía muy rápidamente y era deliciosa, justo lo que queríamos. Haber conocido fue previsión como los días más calurosos del año la zona exterior parecía que no la habían limpiado recientemente con telarañas en las esquinas, hojas dispersas en sillas y mesas, y cada vez había una agradable brisa fresca moss y debri quedaría fuera del balcón y en la mesa, afortunadamente esto no ocurrió mientras la comida estaba en la mesa. Nadie venía a ver si nuestra comida no estaba mal, ni cuando nos registramos en el joven tomó nuestro platos. Pedimos la factura y la chica tenía que venir y comprobar qué habíamos pedido de nuevo, así que ella podría añadir todo esto había sucedido hasta varias otras mesas. Si me basandose puramente en la comida, sin duda le daría un 4, pero por experiencia en general tiene que ser un 2. A cada paso totalmente desorden y escaso no es lo suficientemente bueno.

Tuvimos un almuerzo rápido aquí. La comida era muy buena y fresca. Las comidas para otros clientes parecía muy apetecible. El servicio era rápido y eficiente.

18,26 : Han sido a la hiedra que tienen unos cócteles (la junta fuera recomienda 241 entre 4 y 8) y fue rechazado dirigir sólo servían para la comida. Una pena, ya que tenía muchas ganas de venir aquí por mis 30 celebraciones de cumpleaños el próximo mes! Ahora es bien y verdaderamente fuera de la lista!

Llamamos a la hora de comer y comer fuera, que era muy agradable en el sol. Los muy concurridos pero los dos camareros intentó mantener todo va bien. La comida era muy buena y sabroso

Found this little place as we were walking past the river - great cocktails and absolutely awesome pasta and pizza. I had the prawn and courgette pasta, wouldn't of put these things together but it was lovely - nice service and would definitely pop back for lunch again

Italian restaurant close to the river. It is possible to sit out on a terrace overviewing the river. The food is fine and the prizes are fair.

We were very disappointed with our visit to the Ivy. It looked attractive in the sunshine overlooking the weir but the food and service were all very poor. The waiters were rude and customer service terrible Apparently a member of staff had rung in sick but that was no excuse for the cold dried up food which didn't arrive together. Food arrived without cutlery, condiments - some of which we didn't receive at all. One of our party didn't get their meal until a long time after everyone had finished and in the end we cancelled our side salads after they didn't arrive and we had finished our meals . Overall a very poor meal

We found this restaurant as we descended the stairs from the main road and went near the river where several cafes and restaurants are. As they had a good offer, we decided to join the few tables they had away from the main restaurant in the building and hide under the umbrella as it started to rain.All was very romantic and the waiters were young and friendly. It helped that the steak was very good and so were the chips, drinks etc. As the toilets were inside, I discovered a rather cool place that probably attracts lots of locals in the evening.Pity they allow outside smoking, so we decided to leave as soon as we finished eating.

They have done a good job on the interior of this place - all Japanese cherry blossom trees, a funky bar, cool,music and, unusually for a Bath bar come restaurant come night club, it's above ground! However we were there on the first Saturday after Christmas and there were max 4 other people there! It was also a bit chilly. Go on a busy night and have fun.

We only had a couple simple pasta dishes and some Garlic Bread to start. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The happy hour cocktails were tasty and served promptly. We did go early evening about 6pm, so I cannot comment on what it would be like when it is busier.

I was visiting Bath with my daughter, we walked round Bath and stumbled on Ivy, a warm and welcoming Italian restaurant. Good lighting and decoration, we were lucky enough to eat outside by the river, where there was cover and heating. Service was very professional, food was very tasty, had pizza that was authentic, even the chef came out and asked how our meal was which gives that personal aspect. We will return when we go back to Bath.

Looking for a bite to eat in Bath, I happened upon a few places overlooking the river. The Ivy had a 7.95 BP pizza deal and a wonderful view, so I asked the outdoor waiter how large the pizzas were - he wouldn't give me a straight answer (this must be the same guy referred to in a prior review), so I walked on, but ended up coming back. Got a free form pizza (they call it 'fresh dough') that was just thin enough, just blistered enough, with fantastic toppings - one of the best I've had anywhere including Boston, New York and Italy. Place is a bit odd - cheesy Eurodisco type music playing and the only lager I was offered was Bosnian (odd but it was a fine beer), but a fine relaxing meal. The waiter was much more personable once I was seated (and yes the pizza was indeed too big for one).

Went to the restaurant for a couple of drinks. Sat outside. Waiter has an attitude that's not very welcoming. Cocktail waiter was really nice but the guy covering the outside area should not work in customer service. Would not return.

Great location on the river with indoor or outdoor seating. This restaurant and bar has a beautiful interior!!! Good service, good cocktails & a chilled vibe. Happy hour daily between 4 - 8pm. I'd recommend this place.

I wont even recommend this res..and its a shame to have this restaurant in the middle of bath town...when complained of food quality the waiter cum manager antonio(not sure if he is manager) gave a attitude saying thats all u get for 7.95 and cant be better. We were taken aback by his attitude and approach and returned the food back. he started bullying saying we must pay for the particular item even though we dont like it but we tasted it. he started teaching cus what cus service experience and what r our rights and if we refuse to pay he will call the police..its high time for the res owner to train this particular guy in cus service and be polite and listen to your cus. I will never ever go back to this restaurant...Overall awful experience

We had a lovely pizza and salad here for dinner, with a bottle of wine for less than £ 45 for 2. The staff were brilliant, nothing was to much bother for them.

Bath can be somewhat frantic, but we spent a happy and relaxed lunchtime in this oasis of calm nestled a stone's throw away from the river. The owner was very attentive; service was excellent, and the food was delicious. They were also very accommodating as we had the family dog with us (we were returning from holiday), and they not only brought a bowl of water for her but also more bacon than she has ever seen at one sitting before! Would definitely recommend for a lunchtime visit; it is an excellent place to step out of the hubbub for a while and recharge. Thank you!

I stopped for lunch with a friend. The wood-fired pizza was worth waiting for while the oven was still firing up as we were the first customers in the door. It's a nightclub atmosphere, but perfect for lunch or dinner too. There is a great view overlooking in the lower level. It's worth a stop!

I went to the Ivy for drinks with a big group of friends, and found such good customer service. I bought a couple of bottles there, barely opened a bottle of vodka and forgot about it. When we were about to leave, the manager was lovely and put the bottle aside for whenever I want to come back and use it. Safe to say I'm coming back, and this time I really want to try the food.

Our hen party entered the Weir Lounge downstairs and was told that we could have access to The Ivy VIP bar and come back downstairs and have free bubbly once the Weir Lounge was busier. The service was slow in the VIP bar, drinks were double the price than the club and lacked atmosphere. We decided to go back downstairs and were effectively locked in the VIP bar. The fire doors were locked..... Not even sure this is legal (!!!) and we were told to leave if we didn't like it! Never been treated so disgracefully in a bar or club and would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

On a group night out we entered the Weir Lounge downstairs with a "Free entry before 11pm" flyer, only to be herded upstairs to a bar first, (which we then recognised as The Ivy) on the basis that we would be able to go back down to the club once "busier" - an odd remark- where free bubbly was waiting for us. Ivy was totally pretentious, drinks awful and disgracefully overpriced. On trying to get back into the club we were faced with rude staff, telling us that was never the intention and whoever led us to the Ivy shouldn't have. Needless to say we couldn't get back in, also found that they had locked all the fire escapes!! Made our way out, had a good old moan to the doorman who said the 2 bars work together. Couldn't get back into the Weir without paying which we obviously didn't do. Went on to Belushi's and had a brilliant time.

I ve been here a few times recently and was most impressed with the pizza and pasta. These are home made and priced at under £8 which isn t too bad for central Bath.I find it curious that all 3 previous trippers mention pricey drinks etc surely they aren t penned by the same person, all very fishy to my mind. Bath is littered with multiple catering outlets, this one is a very pleasant change and worth a visit.At their prices its a snip

Went on a hen do and went to the weir lounge they took us upstairs to the 'vip' lounge as down stairs was quiet, was told if we went down stairs a little later when it was more busy we could have some free bubbly, after over a hour of being up stairs (which we found out was the ivy) we wanted to go down stairs but found we had been locked in the ivy!! Staff were very rude and unhelpful, drinks weak and over priced and they basically said if we weren't happy we should go!!

Absolutely appalled by the high prices, watered down drinks and terrible service. 15 of us on a hen do and we entered through the Weir lounge downstairs. We were directed to the 'VIP' area upstairs with a promise of coming back down to the nightclub and a bottle of fizz when it got busier. Wrists we're stamped with the word 'velvet' by the boss's daughter, Layla, so we could regain access downstairs, only to discover that the adjoining door was then locked and we were not allowed back downstairs. The bar staff kept us waiting for 30 minutes saying they would sort it out and they didn't. We basically would have had to pay for re-entry. We ended up leaving as it was supposed to be a special night out. Massively disappointed. Pretentious and over-priced for the quality.

Stopped in here for a brief lunch on a bright sunny day - all looked lovely from the start. Unfortunately let down by running out of pizza (supposedly their signature dish), appallingly rude staff and ridiculous prices. After half an hour of drinking vastly overpriced and poorly made drinks, we still hadn't been offered food by the snobbish waiter, so we left. Will not return and recommend avoiding. Outclassed by other eateries and bars in the area!

We went there on a warm , sunny Sunday (palm Sunday), we got served by a lovely man who was really helpful, we had our 3 year old daughter with us, he looked after us really well, the food was delicious, I had penne and pesto , it was really tasty and full of flavour, and at around 8 pounds , you can't go wrong. My daughter loved it too, she wolfed hers down when we got home (the waiter kindly put her portions in boxes, because she fell asleep within minutes from the time we sat down). I am definitely going again, the setting was lovely, by the river, in the sun. Definitely recommend it.

You could easily walk past Ivy's door and have no idea what lies down those stairs. Take a look, you won't be disappointed. The lighting and decor is really something. I would say it was cool and trendy but those words probably aren't trendy enough!We only had drinks not food, but they were very good quality cocktails. The service was really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed yet sophisticated.There are several different areas including dance floor with DJ. I understand there is also outdoor seating overlooking the weir.I'd like to keep it Bath's best kept secret!

We called into the Ivy on a Saturday afternoon en route to our hotel. Descending down the stairs we found ourselves in a funky modern venue and settled ourselves on a comfy leather sofa overlooking the weir. The cocktail menu is comprehensive and has some unique options that I'd never seen before. My chocolate martini was excellent and my husband enjoyed his vodka cocktail.We didn't get to try the food but did meet the Portuguese family who own the bar - they were very friendly and I wish them every success with this venture. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Great views of Pulteney Weir just help setting your mind into a rather unique experience. We started with a couple of cocktails (divine could be the word) and were then led into the comprehensive wine list which shows a very distinct concern for quality without forgetting that these are tough times for everyone´s meager purses. Since this was our first visit we decided to play it safe and settle for burguers which we found extremely tasty and very well made. Unquestionably the very best we have had to date. Will go back as this IVY plays in a league where you won't find many contestants.
