The best restaurants in Abbey Bath and North East Somerset South West

Arrived and the pub was bigger than expected. Directed upstairs which was unexpected with a dog in tow but what a treat Tastefully decorated restaurant with comfy surroundings. There was a large Christmas party however this didn’t interfere with the great service received or delay in our food being served. Food was excellent! I only had burger but you can often over cook them! Very tasty.

Tried to buy a pastie with cash today, but their till "has no change"!

Came for bottomless brunch, great food, drinks were flowing, nice atmosphere.

The food is good and affordable. I sat outside and we had a great afternoon, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The taste and service are worthy of Michelin, unlike other restaurants that automatically charge tips by default, and the price is reasonable. The portion and presentation of the pork cheek as an appetizer are at the same level as the main course elsewhere. Although the sauce is very salty, the meat itself is very soft. It is recommended. The venison I ordered for the main course was also very tender and had no strange smell. The potatoes were roasted with a knife and were very fragrant. For dessert, I ordered sticky pudding. Personally, I don’t really like this dessert, but I ordered it for Christmas. However, they still made it very fragrant and delicious. If I come to Bath again, I will focus on this restaurant as many times as I can eat there. It is much better than other restaurants.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Thai restaurant where I tried the veg noodles sizzler, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish arrived sizzling hot, filling the air with tantalizing aromas that immediately whetted my appetite. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with a wonderful stir-fry of fresh vegetables that added both color and crunch. What really stood out was the vibrant sauce that tied everything together, offering a delightful balance of flavors that was both savory and slightly spicy. The presentation was top-notch, served elegantly on a sizzling platter that made the meal feel special and inviting. Overall, this veg noodles sizzler was a highlight of my dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal at this fantastic Thai restaurant!

Seems to have lost some of its original magic. We enjoyed a few drinks and really good food previously. Ordered Chateaubriand to share, was tough. Staff seemed stressed over all disappointing from our previous couple of visits. Gave us the impression as gone from great atmosphere, vibrant and relaxed dining to more like a rowdy watering hole. The cocktails weren’t as good as we remembered either sadly.

Fantastic place to eat! Delicious food served in large portions, very friendly staff, blooming stuffed ourselves silly!! Highly recommend! 😋

Excellent traditional English pub! Lovely decor and atmosphere. Great spot to watch the rugby

Sadly this restaurant did not meet expectations. We arrived on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was cold and unfriendly with hardly any people dining. The waitress was rude and behaved as if she wished we hadn't come. Grudgingly the heating was put on but it was still cold and still unfriendly. One of our party complained to the manager and the waitress was taken off our table. Someone who, I think, should never be employed in the hospitality industry. It was a birthday "celebration" for three of the party - sadly it was anything but. The food was ok but nothing special.

Roast took 45 mins. Was cold and small. Vegan version in particular was tiny and same price as vegetarian but without 3 of the items and no replacement for what was removed. Cauliflower cheese the worst I've ever had! No compensation offered.

Tuve que pedir 2 camareras diferentes 3 veces por agua del grifo. El restaurante ni siquiera estaba lleno! No es la experiencia normal de Prezzo a la que estamos acostumbrados...

During a 4 day visit to Bath this is the only food establishment we visited twice. The caretaker management are friendly and really helpful. We tried various cakes, pastries, teas and drinks and loved every mouthful. It’s not cheap but nothing in Bath is Total enjoyment. Try it for yourself

Great restaurant with loads of variety of burgers, chicken and meat. Loved it and not to expensive either.
