Great restaurant with amazing scenery and delicious food. Recommended for those who are visiting Bath.

The staff here were quite rude to us. It wasn't clear whether a payment on card had gone through or not (it was a croatian card)and rather than work it out with us one of the staff became a little rude. We paid a second time with a different card and I guess if it turns out both payments went through I'll just have to do a charge back. Please try and be more patient in future.

Great vow if you sit on the steps outside over looking the weir. Only had drinks hence 3 stars

It is too expensive for these small portions. Food didn’t taste good. Service was slow. They rushed us to order and didn’t check on us. Edamame plate was a joke.

In absolute disbelief at the 1 star reviews, this was the exact opposite of our experience. The staff were extremely polite and friendly, politely asking how the food was, they couldn't do enough for us. The food itself was absolutely gorgeous, you couldn't get fresher. Next to no waiting times. An absolute delight and the perfect choice of venue for myself and my fiancée

Nice location for drinks, we didn’t eat however it wasn’t nice watching the staff come out for cigarettes and chuck their butts into the canal. You’re main selling point is the view, look after the nature which makes your business prosper!

Lovely little restaurant nicely located down a hidden staircase secretly overlooking the wiers. We had a cheeky lunch - sampling a few starters ( very tasty!) and loved the restaurant so much we came back for evening dinner (photos attachded)- all very delicious. Thank you!

This was the most disgusting overpriced Thai food I have ever had. Tom Khan soup was like water, sour and had undercooked chewy chicken in it. Floating strips of tomato skin and frozen mushrooms in it. Duck spring rolls - 4 tiny finger size spring rolls that probably came from Iceland. No duck in them and the odd one completely different. All with a tablespoon of sad salad on plate for £8. Pad Thai was not pad Thai. Asked for prawn and was given chewy chicken again. Disgusting dis for £18. Not once did any staff come over and ask if everything was OK. They were sat eating their food which was probably not what we are served. Worst experience ever

You pay for the view ad the food isn't worth it. Not authentic Thai. Tom Kham sout like dish water with under cooked chicken. Pad Thai... dreadful. Duck rolls think they ran out of one brand and started a packet of different ones. Poor service. What a dreadful waste of good money. Never again. Get your act together.

Very good food, one of the best Thai food I had in a long time. The only thing I didn't like about the place is that a service charge was added on top of my bill straight away, without asking how much I'd like to tip.

Great place to have lunch in bath, if you're stopping by and have an hour to kill, then I would strongly recommend going here, but be warned that the dishes don't have the spice peppers so there's no way so telling wether the food your buying is hot or not, I made this mistake my self when I was here, but I would still greatly recommend it, especially if you like spicy food

Very nice food with an amazing view

Go here if you love Thai food! Our host was gracious, chatty and recommended sights to see on our holiday. The basil beef stir fry was tender and delicious. The Tom Yum soup was full of the perfect sweet and sour blend. If in Bath, you will be charmed and warmed by this charming restaurant and food.

Went here with my missus, really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here! Reasonably priced, and the server we got was absolutely lovely!

Amazing authentic Thai cafe food. No fuss all taste.

none of the dishes taste right(not even at thai standard, they are not even asian). Yaki udon taste the same with megoreng!! Both seasoned with Oyster sauce, people is lovely be i really cant enjoy the food.

Hidden Gem in Bath. The noodle dishes are honestly the best and I have come back here many times! Always leave the restaurant satisfied!! Pad Thai and Vietnamese Pho are both 10/10!!

Great little corner for a quick halal bite.

Too salty for Special fried rice and yaki udon Japanese noodles. It would be better if add less salt and then add some chicken powder and sugar. Add some garlic powder and ginger would make it taste rich.

Perfect 10/10 Tasty food Halal food Nice staff I tried pad tahi with king prawns, and this is my first time trying Asian food, will not be the last. Also, the location is amazing you will have a nice view while enjoying your food.

Good food and kind service! It was a great shelter from the heat and drinks were very refreshing. Green Chicken curry and PadThai were both tasty.

Such a shame, visited today, only had drinks as they forgot our order! Service seemed slow for everyone, may have just been a bad day but we were disappointed! Views amazing!

Right near the boat tour dock. The service was fast and friendly. They served giant portions and willing to make it as spicy as you like. It was nice sitting above the river with a wonderful view as it is down a set of steps and kind of tucked away. Overall all I thought it was good and did not disappoint me in any way

Food is very delicious, recommend the pad Thai, stir fry with Thai basil and the summer rolls. Service is amazing, no faults at all. Will definitely be back

Great view! Popped in last week for quick lunch with friend. A bit pricey but worth it for the view. Pad Thai noodles was an unusual colour but tasty. Overall Good Thai food!

The worst service we have ever experienced! A group of 8 of us went out for food, we were told we had to order at the bar. Once there, a lovely young girl started taking our orders. Then the owner came and took over, refusing to let us order and pay separately. We said we’d be happy to order and pay together but he decided to refuse us ordering and asked us to leave. Never experienced anything quite like it! The poor girl originally serving us quietly apologised. His loss as he missed out on a massive order! I WOULD NOT recommend this place in anyway!

Good food with an incredible view. Fast service.

We wanted to have a brunch with friends but I first ordered only one drink while studying the menu and the waiter said very rude he don't serve us "we can't have a whole table only for one drink"... There were more tables free so that couldn't be the reason. (If there is any reason for this behaviour.) So we better left the place without being served. Unbelievable.

Genuinely one of the nicest Thai meals we’ve ever had. Ignore any bad reviews, the food was incredible and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend :)

I paid for the view and not the food unfortunately, it was not at all authentic, additionally 10% service charge was added, I don’t mind paying extra but food was horrible, could have been better, very disappointing…

Popped in for a drink as a walk-in and got shown to possibly the best table / view in Bath. Stunning. Cocktails excellent and the service friendly. Didn't eat, but the food looked great on other people's tables! Will re-visit next time we're in Bath!

10% gratitude added and can’t be removed, as it’s been printed on the menu’s. Owner said I shouldn’t have stayed if I didn’t want to pay that. Didn’t know I have to read the menu before deciding to sit down for a coffee. Won’t be going there again and won’t be telling friends about it

Dined here over several occasions and it has always been a delightful experience. The owners and staff are very friendly and hospitable, and food is always top notch!

Absolutely loved this place. Arguably The most senic location of any restaurant in the UK. Couldnt believe how reasonably priced the food was (I paid around 18 pounds for 2 courses) .Was served by a young man named Jet, he couldnt do enough for us. Would fly back to the UK just to revisit this place. Couldn't recommend it enough.

This place is a hidden gem! Ignore the 3.3* review on here. The owners and the food are incredible. From feeling completely welcome from the moment you walk in to the incredible food they bring you. Best Thai food out of Thailand I've had hands down. We go everything we visit Bath. 👌

Rude owner, refused to offer us any service because we wanted to stay for drinks and it was quiet. Gave us the impression we weren’t welcome unless we ordered food and had a disgusting personality. Fortunate there’s a nice view - spoilt by a disgruntled owner.

Went their for lunch as the place was Halal. Pricy given the substandard quality. Ordered fried rice with prawns. The prawns were bland with no flavouring at all. Rice was pretty much sticky rice.

Ordered Udon Chicken Ramen and spring rolls for dinner on my 1st evening in Bath. Great view looking over the river. The broth in the ramen was light in flavour but packed with veggies. Price is a bit on the expensive side. There are other Thai restaurants in Bath to consider. If you are looking for a great view, definitely this restaurant is on the top of the list.

Beautiful spot in the shade on a hot summer evening, gorgeous river view, nice staff, delicious and perfectly spicy fish curry noodles and duck summer rolls.

Great food and drinks by the river! I’ve now just returned 1 year later. Absolutely lovely spot. A favorite of mine. We got some teas and coffee this time plus the incredible chocolate cake!

This little restaurant is super well located. The outdoor space has amazing views over the river. The staff are AMAZING mainly Ben. They are so accommodating. The food was excellent and well priced. They also serve halal food. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant .will definitely be back when i am in Bath.

Never encountered a Thai restaurant with such a bad taste before. My friend could not even finish her food even though we were so hungry. The view is lovely however it doesn’t make up for the fact that the food is so bad even though it’s pricey.

Great views from a lovely terrace with electric heaters for when it's cold. A small issue with our coffee was more than compensated for by kind service and a gesture of goodwill.

Stunning views across the weir. The food was excellent. Most of all, the waiting staff were brilliant. So friendly, fun and welcoming. Especially the older gentlemen who I think owns/runs the place. Such a great character, laughing and chatting with us as he was at other tables too. Highly recommend Thai Weir

Coffee was tasteless and dilute. Service very slow (15 minute wait despite no queue.) Expensive too.

Iced latte looked and tasted like dishwater (and was £3.50!) - definitely wouldn’t recommend

The foods decent but the staff can do with a bit of training on politeness. There were two waitresses and they were both equivalently ignorant on politeness and general courtesy.

They could at least bother to cook for the sake of the view. My first attempt of making an ramen was far more better than what I've had here for £15. A warm broth, with some noodles, chewy boiled beef ,some spring onions and loads of coriander! That was IT! The second dish had a bit more taste Roasted duck but the meat was as chewy as the first one and just a few bits. I don't usually give reviews ,But because I felt it was a trap I had to let others know. We went and had a second meal o the streets burger and burrito, to feel that we've eaten . Not to say that a night before , for the same prices we had a wonderful fish stew and a beef one at coté brasserie. Not nice!

You're paying mostly for the location. Food is ok (expect everything deep fried) but a lovely place to sit hidden away from the main streets looking over the river. Staff weren't very welcoming, you get the feeling they hate their job, no smiling or anything.

Very fast service, food was great, if a little steep. I paid up front, which was unusual. River View was nice, food arrived promptly. To get an idea of price - we had the veg spring rolls, chicken satay, sizzling noodles with chicken, and the Thai green curry, plus one beer. This came to around £47

Slow poor food over priced wine £25 for a £5.99 Lidl wine

I had the most disgusting Thai red curry I have ever seen- note, not tasted, as it was inedible. Greasy, oily and most unappetizing. Service was slow, rude and was charged 10% service charge- not optional as I was informed. We didn’t risk the toilets. The place felt dirty, run down and tatty. On the plus side- it has a nice location close to the weir.Thus is the only positive that I can think of. Oh, sorry the homemade lemonade was very nice.

Great food although not that Authentic, altered for the Enlgish i guess, but tasty, The Price was ridiculous for 2 basic pad Thais a small beer, and soft drink... 40 Pounds,,, Really ridiculous, and to add insult to injury they add ten per cent to the bill,,,,!!

This place has the classic case of people coming here with a strange set of expectations which misalign with the restaurant. It is a decent independent Thai place serving exactly the menu you would expect. The food is solid but not spectacular as others have noted, however the location really is excellent. The service is reasonable for a small restaurant - we weren't waiting particularly long for either menus, food or the bill. You pay an extra quid or two for the view over the weir, but frankly it is entirely worth it. The prices overall are basically in line with what you get relative to the places around it and I honestly don't think there is a restaurant with a better view in the whole city. My frank review would be 4*, but it gets 5* from me here as the overall it has at the moment just doesn't seem at all fair from my perspective. I understand that some people may wish for every restaurant in Bath to be fine dining, however you need a mixture and this place provides it. If anyone wants a recommendation, the sizzling noodles with chicken goes down excellently with a cold beer. Attached picture is the view from our table at the terrace.

The pho I ordered was the worst pho I’ve tried in my whole life. The chicken broth was so diluted and tasted sweet. Not worth £14 I paid for the pho.

WARNING Ghastly food. Soggy rice, frozen cooked veg, not fresh and crunchy as should be. The most awful sauces, how can they get satay sauce with a curry taste and the sweet chilli was a vinegar mixed with something. Must be the cheapest bulk buy sauces. If you know what tasty good Thai food is like and you want DON'T GO HERE.

We have eaten in Thailand for years and restaurants across the country. But if that was thai cuisine Joke We booked a table which was not available and put on a smelly dingy table in the corner. Luckily people where leaving and offered us there table. The meal was very disappointing stir fry with so much chilli was inedible stoggy lump of microwave rice and when requested soya sauce was told why is your meal not salty enough then when decline to paye service charge the waitress was very rude wanting an explanation a chef of 40 years so I do know a bit about the trade so over priced not recommended

It's OK. Food ok, but there was a atmosphere between staff. It's the view that makes this place. Drinks very expensive.

Food's OK, more takeaway style, but location makes this place interesting. Seating is waterside (quite literally, not figuratively) in city centre, with the sounds of the weir, but it seems to be generally first come, first seated. A walkway with foot traffic, if you don't mind the feeling of dining on the sidewalk, but you can easily get lost in a pleasant view of the city there.

Stunning views, horrendous service and food. We were taken back by the views albeit ignoring the close passers by that walk right by your table. The worst customer service ever received at a restaurant by the lady chef. Rude, obnoxious and makes you feel embarrassed that customer service can stoop so low. It certainly wasn’t our fault they ‘lost’ our order and we had to wait at least an hour for food to arrive, and when it did, whilst we already had a bad taste in our mouths, the food disappointed also. Rather tasteless. As others have put on their reviews a tourist trap which unfortunately we fell into and one to be avoided at all cost. Shame when in times when so many restaurants are closing due to the pandemic that I feel I can’t write a positive glowing review and support small businesses. I’m sure there are plenty more in Bath that are welcoming with excellent food, just a shame that we chose Thai Weir that was far from this experience.

Really enjoyed the sizzling noodles, very tasty. Lemon iced tea was also surprisingly good. Great view and reasonably priced. The Pad Thai was good too.

Come for the view, but set your expectations that the food is mediocre and relatively expensive.

Thai food in a spectacular location but a fairly basic set up. We ate in the evening and there are a few people walking along the river that wander past your table. Food was good. We had pad Thai with lots of large prawns and a Thai green curry. It's more a café than restaurant.

Worst thai experience ever , ordered a wonton noodles instead received gyoza in it and the owner told me gyoza are japanese wonton when the menu says cantonese. No apologies from the waiters/ chefs who kept arguing that gyoza is the same as wonton and were rude. The other food we ordered were blend &highly overpriced for what you get. Will NOT reccomend this place at all.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews- this place is absolutely delicious. Lovely spot near the water, lovely and friendly service, definitely order the green curry it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Great location and views, but felt a little like a tourist trap. We intended to go to The Boater, but as that was closed, this was literally the next place we stumbled across. The outdoor seating is right on the bank with lovely views of the river and Pulteney Bridge. The food was okay, the fish cakes were a little greasy. The rest was just standard. The service was pleasant and efficient. I would recommend it for the views only.

Absolutely disgusting food! Calamari frozen from a bag. My girlfriend thought she was eating onion rings and my daughter thought she was eating dumplings! We also ordered scampi which tastes worse than frozen scampi from Iceland. we also ordered chicken wings which were so cremated they were barely edible. My daughter had chicken nuggets which were clearly the cheapest frozen brand. I rarely comment or complain about food but it was a total rip off. I walked away feeling totally robbed. Tourist trap. Avoid at all cost.
