The Lamb and Lion in Bath and North East Somerset

Stopped for a good pint of cider. Nice selection. Close to The Pump Room. Outside garden area if nice weather.

I was looking for good value when I approached the lamb and lion,I was greeted with a sign advertising a burger and a free drink...for 13.50 seemed like a good deal so we entered. I was greeted by not very friendly staff. I ordered 2 pints and was given a bill £14.30. We took the hit and sat down to look at the menu to find the free drink with a burger...the deal was not as good as it seemed.. the pint we ordered was not on the deal even if you paid more..so you lure us in under false pretenses...I'm disgusted at the levels of deception a pub will go to. It's lying and false advertisement in my eyes and should not be tolerated.. Do not give them your money

Food is basic but gpod and fills a gap. Good atmosphere. Lovely employees.

A decent run off the mill greene king pub. Beer and food selection is therefore a little limited as you'd expect but each to their own. Relatively cheap food wise and a decent place to watch some sport. Spacious.

Plenty of seating ,lots of beer, wine & spirit selection , they show live sports and the food is really good , the staff are friendly and attentative and in my opinion it's the best bar in Bath

We came today at around 12.45 to try lunch, the burgers were amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough. It was a lovely lunch and we are going back next Sunday to try the roasts, thanks guys!

Tasty food, they added a bit of gravy for me free of charge to accompany extra chips I ordered. Fries on point, lasagne tasty and hot, brownie nice. Icecream maybe not the greatest but did go well. Extremely fast in service, nice place. Thanks to that I could catch my train to Exeter xddd

I came here with my family as it was cold outside and my baby needed feeding. We sat down and were almost immediately told to leave by a barman as my baby was not over 18 years old. This is not a family friendly pub and I will not be returning.

Absolutely horrendous , came in for a drink , ordered a pint of lilleys cider , asked for it without ice. Barman gave me a 3/4 of a pint because apparently the pint price includes ice! When I questioned he was extremely rude. What a joke advertised as a pint price yet because I didn’t want ice I suddenly get 3/4 of a pint ?! Avoid. Staff horrendous and barman with black hair needs retraining , especially at £6.50 a pint. Have visited this place hundreds of times but no more 0/10

The food is good and affordable. I sat outside and we had a great afternoon, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rude bar staff on entry, didn’t feel very welcome and witnessed the same member of staff making snarky remarks about other guests.

Lovely, friendly pub very close to Bath Spa railway station and bus station. Only one real ale, it could probably handle another one, but it was well kept in good condition, which is the main thing. We didn't eat, but the food that was served at nearby tables looked well cooked.

A really lovely cosy pub, visited bath on Monday and spent ages trying to find somewhere that served good simple warming meals, it seems bath is taken over by over priced cafes filled with over complicated food items with a load of faff. Thankfully we found lion and lamb which had amazing chips, a menu with actual sandwiches and baguettes. Johnny and Jessica were lovely, welcoming and just down to earth making us feel welcome and apart of the family. Definitely going there again!

Had a lovely time at Lamb and Lion with my mum and friend, I was very amazed that the about the very quick service, I had the Sausage and Mash. The Lotus Biscuit sundae was very delicious, will be back again soon

Bonito pub, ocupado dentro. La comida era comida estándar del pub que es exactamente lo que queríamos. El personal también era muy amable, barman irlandés especialmente (lo siento, no cogió su nombre).

Had the Sunday lunch, good value and served hot, Didn't have to book only reason not 5 star because eaten in some fine dining in the same week.

Mala cerveza, lo que tenían, el personal con serios problemas de actitud, mesas pegajosas y en general no es un buen lugar. Hay tantos bares buenos en Bath, que no pierdas el tiempo aquí.

Visitamos el Cordero y León para el almuerzo en una excursión de un día a Bath, aunque no pudimos sentarnos dentro ya que teníamos a nuestro perro con nosotros, nos dieron la opción de sentarse a cubierto en el jardín que era una zona muy agradable para sentarse, nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y el servicio y la comida eran buenos, un agradecimiento especial a Larry por su sonrisa y atención, sin duda volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en Bath

Visited today with my family and 10 month old grand daughter, found the staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere was lovely in there And we enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast. I would recommend the Lamb and Lion to anybody

Typical English environment, had lunch while watching a premier league match on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent sandwiches, quality raw materials. Dreamy onion rings. Friendly and fast service.

My husband and I along with a group of friends recently visited the lamb and lion and had we had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great mix of cozy seating and lively vibes in the garden area ! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, Emma made us feel right at home. The drink selection was fantastic, offering a great variety of craft beers, cocktails, and classic pub favorites. The food was top-notch too, with delicious options that were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Whether you're looking for a casual night out or a fun place to catch up with friends, lamb and lion is the perfect spot for you Highly recommend and we will be back !!

25 minutes to get a hot chocolate, on a fairly quiet afternoon. Was going to stay for food, but would have died of hunger at that speed. They encourage ordering on the app but haven't taught the staff to check when orders come in.

Good food and drinks plus friendly staff

Came in at 2pm.for 4 roast dinners. Sadly, it was pretty poor. Although meat was not too bad, yorkshires great and gravy was nice.....the veg was obviously last of whats left from a busy day. Really shouldn't have served it. Also ran out of gravy and kitchen didnt have any more. Drinks were fine. Service from bar and table was good and young lady in a red top which had "staff" or "crew" on it was commendable. Shame really. We were on table 21 I think by window on right when you come in in front of giant screen. Spurs were playing gunners. Deffo come again tho as it had potential. Think I'll just come earlier.

Encouraged to use app for ordering, but it simply didn't work. Queued up and waited 10 minutes to request our food. Eventual service was friendly and good with detailed attention to allergies. Thanks for that. Food was dreadful. Horrible stodgy "mash". Roasties like dry bullets, some of the veg inedible, 2 small slices of pork loin and no crackling, even though it was advertised. Had to leave most of my beer as it had like a white yeast floating on the top. Football very loud. Lots of smokers and vapers coughing and barking right next to us. Forty quid reluctantly spent. A pity as front of house were very busy and both lads were trying hard. Heaven only knows what they do in the kitchen..

I’ve come to Lamb and Lion multiple times and the staff has always been extremely nice. Most recently, Harvey really made our night with his great hospitality and humour! The food is also good, tried the mac&cheese and was very pleasantly surprised. It’s a great pub to watch football games/sports.

We came for afternoon drinks. Very well priced beers and 2 for 1 cocktails (same cocktail). Service is amazing, beer garden great for social events, booths out the back with sports on, dogs allowed, would definitely be a vibe later on in the evening! Well priced and good range of starters/snacks, burgers look juicy and traditional pub classics

I love scampi and chips. It’s my usual order when I come to the UK 5-6 times a year. This was the WORST scampi I have had in. Y 50+ years coming here. Over cooked, and tasteless. Chips weren’t anything to write home about either. Partner had the burger and said it seems to be like a brick in his stomach

Despite the roadworks the Lamb and Lion were so welcoming and friendly. We had phenomenal Fish and Chips -best so far on our journey from Devon. We are so pleased to have found such a wonderful restaurant in the hub of Bath that still has an old English feeling of warmth and comfort. Thank you so much for a great evening 🇬🇧

Hi , myself and my family came into your bath (lamb and lion ) pub for drinks as it was my daughters birthday 26/08/24 and we had been shopping , to be greeted by I assume manager / senior staff asking if we were dining or drinks to which my reply was drinks please and then told us abruptly that under 18s can stay if dining but if only drinks then 1 and go which my husband asked why is that and he retorted its our policy ! On being seated we noticed that no one else was challenged even anothercouple with children who sat outside . We have been to another great UK pub in cheddar (Riverside Inn) and they have always been welcoming and have never told us just 1 drink and go . I work in the bar industry and have never heard of this policy and my husband is a chef who also hasn't heard of this as a.policy either When my husband went to get the drinks he asked the barmaid about said policy and she said its been the same for 11 years but we have taken our kids in before though some years ago and have never had this sort of treatment before many thanks katrina Brimble

Nothing bad to say here , good tasty food,good selection of drinks and super friendly staff,well worth a visit if you are in Bath ,probably the best pub around.

Being a vegetarian I thought I was in for the normal 40 item menu with 2 options for myself. BUT I was stuck for choice. Great options on the menue, order from app, food delivered fast, presented well with polite staff. What more could you want? We had a nice booth in the garden on a lovely sunny Saturday. Good choice of deserts and drinks. Will definitely advise anyone visiting Bath to visit this establishment. Well done Lamb and Lion it's a 5* from me.

Lamb and Lion is by far the best pub in Bath! Johnny makes you feel welcomed from upon entering until you exit. This was my first English pub experience from America and I couldn’t be more pleased. The traditional food and drinks are top notch.

Lovely people . Only critisism is i ordered 2 x LOADED jacket potatoes which definately are NOT loaded. .bbq chicken.wasnt too bad but chilli one had literally a tablespoon of chilli so not worth 7.99.and theres not even a side salad!

We have been there for lunch. The menu has a lot to offer, many different dishes. We took advantage of the meal deal. The staff is friendly and very helpful with choosing dishes. The pub is bright and spacious. Many thanks!

Fantastic venue for a big gathering - there were 16 of us and we were made to feel very welcome. Service was amazing, staff were friendly and Harvey was a great host!

Reason for only 4 stars was that my 17 and a half year old granddaughter, drinking a soft drink, was asked to leave, even though we still had full drinks. I assumed that as she was with responsible adults that she would be allowed as she was over 16. Could you confirm the law on this please.

Rude staff, came to watch the euros 4 hours early spoke to a member of staff and said it was perfectly fine to take a seat at a table that wasn’t reserved. 15 minutes later blonde lady demanded payment of £20 per head for us just to keep the tables that other members of staff said was ok to have? Sort out management or at least be consistent with guests.

We made reservations in advance and had such a lovely experience. Great service, wonderful food and an awesome environment. Definitely stop by Lamb & Lion while in Bath.

We were glad to be able to watch the German Euros game despite Scotland playing at the same time, the Lamb&Lion offered both, accompanied with tasty beer and cider and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed spending our evening there.

As a group of 4 friends, we met for Sunday lunch and enjoyed great service, good food and lovely drinks at a reasonable price at this pub. The staff could not have been more helpful.

No idea what the food is like as we were not allowed in. Tried to go there for dinner (at 7pm, so not late) with my partner and 17 year old daughter. Turned away at the door because it was over 18s only. Can understand when pubs do this later in the evening, but don’t advertise all your pub grub on the internet and on boards outside when you are not operating as an inclusive restaurant/pub.

We got Sunday roast and burgers. All were excellent. Highly recommend!

Travelling around the UK and I cannot access Kayo to watch F1. The Lamb and Lion pub in Bath advertised Canadian GP on the big screen. I asked the gentleman at the bar could he put it on the big screen earlier for the pre race show….and he did. Well done Lamb and Lion best Pub in Bath!! Oh and great Sunday Roast as well.

Nice place to watch sport. Went for Sunday lunch, a few items of drinks and food weren't available. Food was pre cooked inches main, especially the small plates. Pretty average. Service was excellent

Amazing service from harvey at the bar. Working for stonegate ourselves we know how hard life behind a bar is. Harvey served us with a smile in his face. Food arrived fast and was hot. Really nice food good rellaxed vibe to the venue. Top service from harvey. Top man!!

The staff was extremely friendly. The food was amazing. I was in bath for a tour and walked by this place. I was so happy with the vegan options. I’m still dreaming of the vegan sticky toffee pudding.

Don't go if you're hungry!!! Ate tortellini. There were 5 pieces each. The small salad was of course very small and instead of green there were more dried tomatoes than anything else in it. They were already in the tortellini sauce and then edamame (soy) to save money. The drink prices are not on the menu... For us it's just NAP! The only good thing was the music!!!!

Nice old building with a modern interior. Very busy when I arrived. Usual tap beers and a few real ales available. Staff were friendly and helpful. An L shaped room with a small garden area. Big TV on the wall with the horse racing showing. Beer was good. Enjoyed my visit.

The staff in this pub are brilliant, from entering the pub the service was spot on. The food is amazing. I think there garden has got to be one of the best beer gardens I have ever seen. TV screens everywhere and the garden is always clean. Great boozer.

Chose this after reviews online and wanted to watch football match tonight. Chilli cheese bite delicious, classic chicken burger and chicken tikka also fab definatrly recommend food. Staff very friendly and welcoming would highly recommend this will be back
