The Slug and Lettuce - Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

Went yesterday for a “90’s/00’s” themed bottomless brunch during a girls weekend as we were in Bath all the way from Bournemouth. We can’t fault our server Christian at all, as he was fantastic and made sure our drinks were constantly stocked, food came quickly and he checked in regularly. So we really appreciate him. However, we were all pretty disappointed as this brunch seemed no different than a regular bottomless brunch. No decorations, no extra effort and the music that was playing over the speakers was hardly fitting for the theme. If you’re going to pay extra for a specially themed brunch, you should get what you pay for, which we didn’t. Very sad as we were all looking forward to it for so long as we booked way in advance. But definitely was not worth the money.

Had bottomless brunch this morning and got so much for our money! Our server Emily was brilliant and checked on us constantly!

Fantastic cocktails buy one get one free. Both have to be the same though.

Had Tristan was our waiter for the bottomless brunch and for the duration he was very attentive and stayed on top for everyone’s orders considering there was 16 of us.

Had a lovely experience at slug and lettuce for my best friend’s 21st birthday! The staff were so lovely, particularly Laura! She kept checking in, making sure we were okay and she even brought out my friend’s birthday cake with candles lit. She made our experience all the better, thank you so much!

Love it here. Been a few times but for NYE thought we would do a bottomless brunch. Remembered us and the specific order (difficult) I had last time and again was nothing but great service! Cannot recommend more. Staff amazing , special shout out to Emily. Definitely, as stated before, will be back! Love the bath slug and lettuce! Never fails!

We were served by Emily at our Christmas bottomless brunch and the service was very fast, the music was great and overall we had a lovely experience.

Louis was amazing!! He made my friends birthday fabulous. We had so many drinks and the service was exceptional. Will defo be back. Louis deserves a pay rise. Food was lush.

Terrible food and rude women member of staff… the pigs in blankets was bright PINK (RAW and un edible) the “crispy bbq chicken skewers with honey and crushed nuts” was VILE and not as described… NO skewers NO crispness HARDLY any bbq sauce… NO nuts and NO honey… just 3 STRIPS of chicken with barley a drizzle of bbq sauce and the most comedic thing ever….. CRUNCY NUT CORNFLAKES!!! So the crispy part is apparently the cereal and the crushed nut and honey is actually CERAL!!! Hilariously vile, reminds me of a 5 year old trying to cook… undercooked and added cereal! The women who was short with brown hair was super rude and had a terrible attitude however she did refund the meals which was nice but what a horrible experience .

We stopped for lunch here alot of people were there either drinking or eating our food took nearly an hour to arrive and It was lovely in all fairness but we weren't told we had to wait and that was a little frustrating tbh

I had a lunch there on Saturday, November 30th at noon. The venue was too busy and the food took a long time to come because of that. However, the staff was very helpful and provided a kind and efficient service. I would like to give a special mention to Laura for an outstanding service. Thanks.

Very disappointed!!! I had made a booking, which if you make a booking for a xmas party you would want to keep, i rang to confirm as i had not had any contact, i was told it had been cancelled and there was no longer any space! the staff member laughing down the phone which was very rude! And hung up on me! Will never try and book here again!!

Firstly the staff were really polite and pleasant so 5 stars to them. We started off with some 2 for 1 cocktails and they were nice and priced OK. Next we ordered 3 small starters to share which were nice. Then we ordered our mains. Firstly, it seemed to take forever to bring the meal out considering the place only had a handful of customers as it was a Monday night. I ordered steak and fries with peas and my partner ordered mac and cheese with shredded chicken in a sauce. When the food eventually came the 2 sides of onion rings and cheesy garlic bread looked nice and tasted nice enough but the garlic bread slices could of been a little more toasted as it felt more like uncooked bread. The steak was cooked well but by time I got it, it was luke warm and a little chewy. My partners mac and cheese was hardly touched, the mac and cheese was not particularly flavoursome and the shredded chicken in the sweet pepper sauce was just cubes of chicken, not shredded. It felt like they had used pre frozen chicken cubes and just mixed them in the sauce, which if they did then it is quite lazy and not as advertised (shredded). It certainly tasted like formed frozen chicken as opposed to fresh chicken shredded. It's a pity about the food, but we only requested a refund for my partners main course, I would have requested mine also but I ate it as i was hungry due to taking quite a while to be prepared. Unfortunately, we would not revisit again.

We booked for a hen party on Saturday day we had pre ordered our food. The food took over an hour to come out. We chased twice. The scrambled eggs were shocking dry and grey god knows what they did to it in the kitchen. Poached eggs hard. Such a shame. Sausages overcooked and hard. The hen ordered the Mexican breakfast which was supposed to be lightly spiced it was so hot she couldnt eat it . We did change it to a different meal. Now onto the service the guys seemed nice but we were left without drinks for quite a while. In the two hours we were there we had 3 cocktails. They ran out of butter and tomato juice for the bloody mary . We had to chase our drinks several times. The whole point of a bottomless brunch its lots of cocktails within the 2 hours. To their credit they did top us up with fizz. The atmosphere was good. If the food had been and service had been better . This would have been a higher star rating. It was so disappointing. This was a special occasion. Such a shame

Came for bottomless brunch today with a group of 7 friends.. we had an amazing experience. The food and drinks were amazing and it was topped off by having Laura as our waitress... so attentive, kind and friendly. 10/10 service!

Olivia was our server she was on top of our orders every time and even on her first shift was clued up about allergens on the menu and was happy to double check with the chef and manager on duty!! Quick service for our bottomless brunch 10/10!!

We had a lovely lunch out today, we opted for the £8 deal which is a great steal! The restaurant was able to accommodate our request for a quiet area, Food came out quick although it wasn’t busy. Toilets were clean and fresh. And staff were very friendly. All I would recommend is the music not to be so loud :)

Slow service for a week day afternoon, mouldy pictures on walls and inedible meal. Ordered the Detroit pizza toast with burrata. I suspect someone was a bit heavy handed with the sweet pepper sauce as the slightly stale bread was absolutely drowning in it and it made me feel a bit nauseous. Cold, saccharin level sweetness. Heard other lunch items were okay. Have had perfectly okay meals at slug in the past but wasn't impressed this time.

The food took an hour to come out while we were sat at our table on the dance floor barely able to hear yourself think. The waitress had no idea who the food was for. The starters came out at the same time as the mains. It’s a place where you go for a snack if you’re in late teens early 20s but as a couple in their late 30s it was awful. Rubbish.

Sticky floors, very poor choice of drinks. Basically, a very sad excuse for a bar , especially given the quality of pubs around it

Food was so dry it was like eating sand chicken on a disco biscuit waterd down cocktails that take ten minutes to come each time honestly my 3 year old could make me better chicken. Save your money and go turtle bay.

Went here last week for drinks. Atmosphere and everything was good but the drinks tasted honestly sickly. Whatever syrup ratio they used to make their soft drinks for the mixers needs to be tested before serving. Our group could not finish any of our drinks, or had heavily struggled so we all left early.
