wasn't a fan of the doughballs and the nachos, take em or leave em (leave em) but the lovely amelia was so patient and considerate in her service!!! she bore with me throughout my tipsy articulation of discounts and orders, and even came up with a wonderful virgin substitute for a baby Guinness!! had a gorgeous time, DONT order the dough balls.

Me my wife and son visited on Father's day 16/06 The server didn't ask if anybody had any allergies or any type of intolerance We were not presented with a children's menu but after a trip to the kitchen were told that if my autistic son wanted just the burger from the main menu( no bun he doesn't like bread ) then they would have to charge £17.50 for a burger and fries we opted just for fries Our server took our order and then we saw him leave at the end of his shift When the new server came over with our food we asked if there was a kids menu which she said there was and if we wanted to order it would be another 20 minutes wait for food for our son The server did not return to ask if everything was ok or if there were any problems The food was nice I admit that we all enjoyed it but when I went up to pay I noticed there was a 10% "service" charge for what was non existent service from both servers Was kind of expecting better from the Hilton brand and not sure I would ever recommend the place to anyone

Had dinner tonight with our tour group. The food was great and so was the atmosphere but Rosie was our waitress and she was outstanding. So cheerful and helpful. Made our dining experience an absolute pleasure.

Good Gin and service, but the afternoon was a bit disappointing

£15 for full English breakfast was disappointed with the quality of the food. The fried egg was overcooked and the sausages were tough to chew. You would think a restaurant at the four star restaurant can cook a very decent breakfast. Especially at the price they charge.

Nice Hotel Restaurant. Food is pretty good and tasty. Waiting time was not long. But, book a table on the weekend. It gets full quite quickly.

What a shame. I was going to refute other negative reviews. I was greeted well, order taken promptly and food arrived quite quickly. It was good. Then it changed. After waiting half an hour- the restaurant was quiet, I had to go to the bar to ask for the dessert menu- she was washing glasses. Then to cap it all, they refused to accept cash. I had no credit card on me. They said they don't deal with cash at all. I left the cash anyway. For a hotel chain, they need some serious staff retraining!

Not a bad place, however, do not go if you have children. On entering, we asked if there was a children's menu and we were told that there wasn't a children's menu as such, but any of the mains could be made into children's meal. Fine, we thought... We ordered x2 adult meals and x2 children's meal, the food arrived and was enjoyed and, once finished , we were presented with the bill - all items ordered had been charged at the full adult rate. Obviously, we questioned this only to be told that the chef they had today wouldn't do smaller portions, so we had been given adult portions for all meals ordered (this was questionable for the two which we assumed were child portions...). This had not been communicated to us at any point during our visit. The waiter apologised but said there was nothing he could do. On speaking to the supervisor, he confirmed that they were sorry they hadn't told us the truth when we arrived, but, as we had eaten the food we had to pay for it. We had no alternative othet than to pay up and leave, vowing never to return. Feel very conned by this restaurant and am surprised that a brand such as Hilton would choose to be associated with it.

This restaurant is located in a Hilton brand hotel. We were all hungry and tired after a days travel and decided to eat our dinner at the hotel. Normally we are not disappointed with hotel restaurant food but this was extremely bad. The menu was very small and only offered dishes that wer similar to pot stickers and Udon noodles. There were two options with the Udon noodles, fried chicken, or some strange minced prawn. The waiter was nice enough and the tables were clean. We waited at least 30 minutes for the food and the starters came at the same time as the Udon dishes. The food was not hot and the noodles were very sticky as if cooked earlier then heated up. Unless the hotel leases this space to a new Restaurant or they do some drastic menu changes. We would not recommend it.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of giving one star reviews. Unorganised in seating us, however the servers were nice. I wouldn't by any means suggest eating here, it may look nice, your typical hotel restaurant menu but this place needs a new chef. Soggy thick batter on the fish and WAY to much salt in the gravy. We went straight to waitrose after to get some food and rennies, and I've never had to do that before. For the price (for which they add VAT so the prices are not so reasonable) you can walk a few yards down the road and find many a nice restaurant.

I think the first time I ever ordered from Cheong Sing was probably about sixteen years ago. And it was great then, they understood special requests like no egg in the fried rice, they knew not to give you free prawn crackers if you ordered an entirely vegan meal. The portions have always been generous and good value for money. I ordered again for the first time in a while tonight, and wow. It's only got better. The menu now includes more dishes, the portions were still generous. And flipping heck the food was incredible. Definitely my favourite Chinese in Bath.

Food is okay and good atmosphere, but definitely horrible service. Most of the waiters don’t know what they’re doing, and it takes forever for them to come to take your order.
