The best restaurants in South West

This place holds close to my heart, I think about the food most days salivating for that taste, it's a shame that it has closed for now, it makes me sad every single day, money cannot describe how great this food is! It is a true culinary masterpiece

How have I only just found out about this place - super service and the food was fantastic, thank you for the excellent service.

I cake here for the food and although pleasant, it was nothing special. Portion sizes were on the small side, hardly any noticeable chilli in the dishes even the supposedly extra spicy ones. The waiting staff were great, the food came out quite quickly for how busy they were. Some dishes also had a degree of theatre which added to the dining experience.

Five friends & family from Devon & Penryn together to celebrate an early Christmas together. Wonderful convivial lunch - food was delicious with amazing portion sizes. It was excellent value for a four course meal & the young lady serving was a delight: very friendly & attentive. Got the festive period off to a lovely start.

Hidden gem, can't believe I've never been here before. The food was spectacular, including the vegan options. The staff were so attentive and friendly, it was like being waited on by family. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be going back

Managed to catch them tonight before they closed. The lovely staff couldn’t be nicer…One lady came in on closing and had a right flouncy strop due to them closing and not having any chips left…They were polite and recommended their competitors up the road…off she stormed! People are just so rude!….Anyway, the Fish, chips, sausage, peas and curry sauce were all top grade! The curry sauce was the best I’ve tried locally! I’ll be back, great staff, good product!

God range of beers, warm and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

A proper little country pub. Loved it!

We’ve been on the lookout for the best roast in the area and we’ve found it! Not only was the food truly delicious and completely catered to my very restricted dietary needs but the customer care was also great. I was made to feel completely at ease with the owner going above and beyond making sure I could eat a delicious roast dinner!

This is a cracking pub, excellent food, and a great location with large outdoor seating and kids' play area. I throughly recommend a visit. Fabulous Sunday lunch. Cheers Stone

I had heard great things about this cocktail bar and so booked it months ahead for a celebratory drink after our legal wedding day. Unfortunately, the seating isn't ideal with high stools and only one comfortable seating area. We asked to move to be more comfortable and were told that we would need to move for a bigger group within the hour which we were more than happy to do. However, the staff were very persistent popping back to inform us of the time we had left. The overall experience felt rushed and pressured; both to buy more drinks and to stick to timings. With the amount of choice in Bristol for cocktails bars, the whole experience left everyone feeling that we would not return.

Lovely atmosphere, great food, fantastic wine selection and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended

Had a fantastic evening dinner with my partner before my 23rd Birthday, the food was wonderful and our waitress Regina was amazing she was so lovely and sweet

Can’t speak highly enough of our experience here today. Family of 4 arriving without booking and they managed to fit us in which was brilliant. The Menu (as the name suggests) is mostly wings, burgers and hot dogs which again was fine by us. Without any exaggeration the ‘Cluck n Dirty’ burger was the best burger I’ve ever eaten, wife and kids loved theirs too. We were even given a roll of a giant dice to see if we’d get the whole meal (£50+) for free! Thanks for a great experience we’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend the chilli eggs with krispy kale. Delicious
