The best restaurants in South East

This used to be my go to fish and chips for the area, but the fish Ive had delivered recently has been poor, it used to be golden batter, now is mainly brown and really oily/greasy. I'm unsure if they've changed ownership, I keep giving it a chance, but I'm just left disappointed.

It was a superb discovery, the cuisine is top-notch and we loved the ultra-fresh seafood. The service is as charming as it is efficient...; We'll definitely be coming back when we're back in the region.

We were a group of 6. We booked in advance. We were placed in the back room area of the restaurant which was not as nice, and although the young staff were polite the service wasn’t attentive. The food took quite a while to arrive, but it was tasty. It was neither terrible or amazing

Nice selection of craft beers and cocktails. Very lively.

Returned once again to favourite family place to eat. Great fresh home cooked food, service and excellent with children. They love to watch pizza being made.

Friendly pub with a couple of rooms that are dedicated to grass roots live music, open mic sessions, poetry etc. Also has a cosy outdoor space which has a pizza oven etc. We saw a Mile Davis tribute, performed by very talented jazz musicians - which was excellent. They even sorted out a seat for me as standing for a couple of hours isn't comfortable for me. Very kind - thank you. Pub serves real ales, plus all other stuff. Team are really friendly and helpful. It's also LGBTQ friendly and everyone is made to feel welcome - love that.

Amazing massaman and red thai curries, then thai custard and coconut ice cream. Absolutely fantastic food, so so tasty.

Nine of us dined last night for my Dad's birthday as we're staying in the area and wow! The food was incredible, hands down the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. Hats off to the chef! Service was incredible, thank you so much for your hospitality!

Wonderful place, highly recommended!

First time and very pleased with the food and atmosphere. We went for a nice walk along the river and stopped for lunch. It was a really nice sunny day so book in advance as it gets really busy. We both had the Linguini allo scoglio (seafood Linguini) and it was just perfect...almost felt like being by the sea in Italy. Staff all helpful and nice location. Next time 🍕
