Delicious cold mezza plate and mixed kebab. Great value for money

The food... Oh my god it was so good. So fresh and so tasty. Mind you not everyone's thing. If you're new to it you might find it unusual but if you know Aspendos then this is the place you got to come. You're the best. Very friendly an profesional waiters. The foods is gorgeous 👌👌👌🙏

Food here is delicious, meat is tender and really well seasoned. Portions are huge. Come hungry!

Travelled hours to get to Dover and went to local brewers Fayre to eat, for other reasons we did not stay and found Aspendos online, we called ahead as it was quite late and they were happy to accommodate us at short notice and being nearly closing time. Food was amazing and service very good, actually left feeling delighted that we couldn’t eat at other place, definitely done is a favour and will return if ever in the area again

5 STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH.. I WANT TO GIVE 10 STARS 🌟 (So sad that I am living far from here) We've ordered Aspendos special for 2-3 people. The portion of food was very generous with 49 pounds. I highly recommend who is visiting the white cliff. The staff was very friendly and their service was impressive. At last, the staff opened the door for us and asked to get Turkish delight, which was touching since there were a lot of customers in the restaurant.

Fantastic! Clean food and amazing quality and quantity 👌 would heavily reccomend all to visit, I would also reccomend the kofte, very good customer service with polite and caring staff. 10/10

Superb set-menu lunch after we'd walked from Deal to Dover. Humus and borek followed by shish main course. Everything fresh, delicious and healthy. Extremely good value.

Big restaurant, larger seating area than I expected. Food was absolutely beautiful, loved my starter and main. You can see everything being cooked at the back of the restaurant, so nice and fresh. Portion sizes are good, staff are helpful. Glad i gave it a try.

Take out order, very tasty, smokey chicken, large enough portions to feed a family of 4 - two adults and 2 kids 12 and 8- large chicken shish and regular, even had left overs! Paid £31 using 10% discount code. Very fast delivery this time and the food was hot! I stopped ordering kebabs from other shops as it was always a disaster!

First time trying this beautiful lovely place, the food i had was a mixed grilled it was really amazing its unique style to its chicken and lamb chops. Excellent customer service definitely recommend this place by far one of the best.

We visited here while staying in the area, what a treat! Service was brilliant & the food was superb - can’t fault it at all! The mixed shish (chicken & lamb) was an absolute treat & the portion sizes were more than generous. Only disappointment was that we couldn’t manage the delicious salad that accompanied our mains as we were so full from everything else!

Warm and friendly for Solo Deaf travellers. The welcome began by a very sweet and polite young man who was exceptionally well mannered. The service begins with a on the house starter. As expected the bread tastes of the Mediterranean home, freshly made and lightly toasted n oil. They have a range of wines two of which come from Turkey. The wine was simple but sweet. In terms of the mains there is a variety from home made veggie dishes to traditional Adana Kofte. All in all the experience was amazing.

I’ve just spent 5 days in England, and waiting for my ferry trip tomorrow I needed some good food. That is exactly what I got. Tastes to blow your mind, fresh crisp salad ingredients, Chilli with a kick to it, garlic dip with a sweetness 2 kinds of rice on 1 dish, service with a smile Im surprised people arnt waiting in the street to get it. We had the lamb shish kebab and sucuk with hummus - great portion sizes for reasonable prices. Food was yummy, with friendly and attentive staff.

Simply delicious. Everything was really good. I ordered the lamb cubes with rice bread and salad. I was given a complimentary portion of cacik which arrived with fresh bread, still warm. The lamb was accompanied by a crisp salad rice and bulgur wheat. The lamb was slightly pink and very succulent. Perfectly cooked. I had to pass my compliments to the chef as it really couldn’t have tasted better. There was some confusion over whether they had earl grey tea, but the amazing waitress went above and beyond and found some. The dessert polished off the meal perfectly. What more could you ask for? Great service, fab food, lovely decor. Plenty of veggie options as well. If you’re in Dover, don’t miss out!

We are the last family to dine here tonight, I needed to give a review especially for their patience 🙏 Had a platter for family with 2 adults and 2 children. £49 which isn't so bad considering we are so full! 1. Service by Jana and Himal was excellent. Friendly and easy going. 2. Platter size and food was great as it was freshly cooked. And tap water with an additional jug was free! I say this because the last Turkish we went to wouldn't serve tap water! 3. They also play bollywood songs 🎵 😄 Highly recommend for families to dine there, you won't be disappointed. Thank you 😊

There was no sailt in Adana/Lamb kofta Too salty lamb ribs I think they hired trainy chef or unskilled who doesn't have common sense to give how much sault or merination. When i informed waiter he said they used Chinese sault. He saying i am telling wrong

Great place. Very tasty shashlik and grilled dishes. Large portions. Delicious flatbreads. It's been a long time since I've seen such delicious grilled halloumi cheese. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. One small caveat, please do not serve desserts ice cold. The cheesecake should not be almost frozen. The chocolate fondant should be warm and its filling liquid. And special thanks for the Turkish tea. It's love at first sip.

Unfortunately, since we had our dog with us, we could only eat outside. The staff was very friendly, but the food wasn't impressive. The meat and rice were dry and the sauce served with it was a ready-made sauce from a bottle.

Great food, huge portions and very fresh.The staff here were very attentive and the food was excellent . The Turkish wine also very good. Love the salad, tender lamb and sharing food makes it a very sociable place to eat.

If I could give six stars, I would! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was amazing about this restaurant. We arrived during a busy Saturday night dinner time, but were seated quickly and served efficiently and kindly. The lamb kebab was so succulent and tender, full of flavor and accompanied by generous quantities of yummy rice and (I think) Turkish bulgur, plus salad. The sea bass was delish and beautifully cooked over open coals. We had a seat at the viewing window of the kitchen and couldn't take our eyes off the amazing process! To top it all off, the best baklava I've ever had... And a Turkish delight treat on the way out!! The best restaurant ever!!

Our family dinner tonight was amazing. I often order takeout from here but it was our first time at the restaurant and it didn't disappoint. The staff were amazing and really good with our children, the food lovely and the atmosphere very relaxed. We'll come back again!

We went for a quick lunch. Had a salad and Hummus. Oh, My the Hummus was amazing as was the warm Pita served with it. The simple salad was full of cucumber, peppers and parsley, an excellent combination. We followed up with a piece of the baklava. Also amazing!

Such tasty food, prepared in plain sight. We particularly enjoyed the lamb chops and steaks which were tender and spiced. Service was really friendly and efficient and the restaurant has a welcoming and warm feel. Highly recommended

I'm writing this whilst finishing my coffee! I normally eat Italian when passing through Dover but when my chosen restaurant didn't have a table ( for one...?) it didn't take much thought to try Aspendos. And I'm glad I did! Great food with generous portions, a good vibe and friendly service - what's not to like? Recommended!!

Turned up to pick my kebab up in person to find my takeaway next to the front door where's it's cold, I would have thought it would have been common sense keeping takeaway food in the kitchen to keep it warm for collection!? You are paying a premium for the shish kebabs here compared to other local establishments so expect to have hot food when you get home, I even had my car heating on to keep it warm but it didn't and had to enjoy barely warm food. I will be returning to other kebab shops in the area to ensure the food is hot when collected in the future Shame as it was my first visit and didn't give me confidence to risk another visit

Great food and affordable. Portions were decent. But the real winner was the aesthetic, never seen artwork like that plastered on the walls. Very fitting.

I've just received the best Turkish restaurant delivery ever. These guys go out there way even when your ordering from home. The large family special we just received is amazing . Recommended for tourists, fine turkish cuisine restaurant. First up, the food. The portions were generous. They are all freshly made. Nice and tasty. They even gave us freshly baked bread as compliment while we were waiting for our dishes to arrive. Secondly, the restaurant is really beautiful inside. There are turkish themed paintings on Dover scenary. The dishes might seem a little expensively priced but they are very much worth the taste and portion.

We came off the ferry and decided to have a meal before heading on our long trip home. The restaurant was quiet in the early Tuesday afternoon, we were met with friendly smiles and welcoming, the food was superb and delicious. What a lovely restaurant, will most definitely have another meal when in the area again.

Extremely tasty Kofte, very large portion sizes, and the complimentary bread was fresh and super delicious . Their tzatziki was also a tasty addition to the bread!

Good service and the food was OK. Rice and cous cous were outstanding but the seabass was shocking!!! Way over cooked and just tasted of charcoal very disappointing. When i informed the the staff cleaning up the table the information was not relayed and was still expected to pay for something that was inedible. Ooo and the calimari was epic and would definitely recommend!. Their were different prices from online menu to dine in by a few pound per dish more expensive. Beer was nice and cold 👍

We've been here a few times now and have always had great food each time! Portions are a good size and flavours are always so delicious. I only didn't give 5* because recent price increases mean we can't visit as often as we used to.

I am confident this restaurant gave my girlfriend and I food poisoning not to mention that our waiter wore AirPods every time he came to our table.

Na een paar dagen Londen rond Kerst net voor het boarden hier nog gegeten. We waren redelijk vroeg dus het was rustig. Inrichting was leuk, gaf meteen een goede sfeer. Ontvangst en bediening prima. Eten was erg lekker en ondanks dat er voor voorgerecht niet geserveerd werd met een volle buik de boot op gegaan. Leuke afsluiting van onze vakantie.

Staff were amazing , so friendly and helpful . The restaurant is decorated in a very colorful/ traditional way depicting the Aspendos ruins . Beautiful lighting and very comfy chairs ! Now for the food what can I say absolutely delicious. The portions are huge and we can eat for ever but we were defeated and took home a " doggy bag ". Highly recommend the stuffed vine leaves , lamp chops , well everything really lol. Thanks for a great evening , delicious food and such a warm welcome.

Stumbled upon this place accidentally when needing to kill some time before cathing a train and it didn't disappoint. Friendly service, authentic food and huge portions. The prices seemed steep at first but they serve a complimentary starter so one kebab plate was enough to fill the two of us up.

Great lunch. Dover is such a rundown town so to come across this restaurant was lovely. We were greeted by a young lady who was wearing a headscarf. She was friendly and patient since we know Lebanese food more than Turkish. My partner is Slovak and she chatted to him: another waitress was Czech so we both chatted in Slovak with her. Enough - how was the food? We weren’t expecting such generous hospitality. The young lady brought a plate of flat breads; olives and tzatski (not spelt correctly) as an amuse bouche. That was a lovely touch. Mains - my partner had chicken shish with couscous and rice. It was huge. He said the meat was perfect and moist. He loved the couscous. I found things a bit more challenging as s vegetarian because I didn’t fancy the mains so had two meze - garlic mushrooms, which were lovely and grilled halloumi which was okaysih but I would probably choose something else instead since I think just rice would have fine beautifully with the mushrooms. We also had a large glass of Turkish white wine which was good. To finish some very lovely baklava and mints. We both left thoroughly satisfied. A great discovery in an otherwise miserable town.

Муж заказать бараньи ребрышки. Мы не смогла все это осилить😀 Продукты свежие, мясные блюда готовили прям при нас. Профессиональные повара. Перед подачей горячего блюда, нам принесли турцкий горячий свежий хлеб, и соус с овощами. Зал большой, современный, светлый, не похоже на другие пабы. Можно прийти с детьми. Гости из Казахстана 🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿

Пошли на день родэждение, предварительно зарезервировать сто, стол не был готов. Так как это было день рождение, у нас немного заняло временни при выборе заказа, буквально минут 15, за это время к нам подошли 4 раза с тем чтоб принять заказ и я бы сказала что тон был не очень доброжелатьльный. Далее, мы заказали 3 анасовых сока и один яблочный, принесли всё наоборот, так жа просили стаканы для воды без льда, лёд присутствовал. Я уже молчу о том что у бутылки вина пробка поломался пополам и нам опять пришлось обращаться за помощью. Хорошо, все делают ошибки, но далее было ещё лучше, для того чтоб поставить главное блюдо, официант переложить хлеб СВОИМИ руками, без перчаток, так же, по истечении временни мы остались одни в ресторане, около 9-ти часов, поэтому они выключили музыку и стали прибирать прямо при нас и я, на данный момен не о столах, а о том что они начали мыть полы при нас и мы наблюдали мусорник практически по середине ресторана. В заключение хочу сказать, еда вкусная, но обслуживание ниже нуля. Поэтому если вы любите хороший сервис, не советую идти туда.

We were in Dover for two nights and found this restaurant at 12 King Street. This Turkish Restaurant serves a variety of foods to please every palate. We ordered the Aspendos Special which consisted of beef, lamb, chicken, rice and salad platter and according to our waiter it is enough for two. However it was enough for four small eaters. The restaurant is clean, service is prompt, food is hot and pricing very reasonable considering the size of the portions. Very family oriented as well Menu has great selection of food and beverages as well as specials As we were leaving the hostess offered us Turkish Delights to compliment the fine meal. Would recommend this restaurant

The service is terrible. They gave us two wrong meals and want to charge us for it. Saying that this is our fault for not recognizing our order. It’s a fraud case and I saw on internet reviews that it’s not the first time. Also, the food was just ok, so this is the first and last time coming to this restaurant. The most terrible situation I have ever met in restaurants.

Dinner with my 2 teenage children. We ordered the Aspendos special for 2-4 people. It was very generous and it would easily have fed another 2-3 people. It was really delicious and the meats were all marinated in different ways. So good. The staff were just delightful and we were given complimentary baklava after dinner and offered Turkish delight as we left. Only criticism is that we had to wait a while for the bill I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and we would be happy to return.

Beautiful interior and attentive, kind staff! Consistently good food and a great option for vegetarians like us. Would recommend the halloumi casserole, was our favourite dish of the night. Also loved that they gave us very well seasoned couscous on the side without us asking for it. Generous bread basket with tzatziki at the start and the Turkish delights at the end before leaving were also a great touch.
