We eat from here very often, last night we had an issue where our order was accepted and they was actually closed (technical glitch) no real drama, worst things have happened but today they called to apologise. Not only is the food quality, so are the family that run the business. I’m leaving his review after eating from them for a very long time, but because of the quality of the food (which is very good) but because of the customer service which is exceptional and you don’t receive it very often, support local and enjoy, it’s very good 👍

Was so looking forward to a roast dinner whilst having our kitchen replaced and were disappointed. Although the chicken was tasty and potatoes good, we had paid extra for the sunday special. We didn't receive parsnips, carrots were not glazed, veg was frozen and watery, gravy not cooked out and yorkies were cold. Had half a chicken and the total cost was £40.

Brilliant in every way. Just had a Sunday roast for 4 people delivered. Easy to order,communication great...and of course the food was faultless,really tasty and ample for four people..10/10

We just had a Reuben and Gyros there- incredible. Reuben was the best one I’ve had in years and my wife said her gyros was ‘the best sandwich I think I’ve ever had’. Genuinely super impressed! The sandwiches they’ve added are awesome I’m excited to try their focaccia next! If you need a quick delicious lunch I 1000% recommend!

Absolutely awful. What is the world coming to when an establishment will charge £1.50 for half a corn on the cob and £3.50 for delivery. The chicken was grey and the potatoes green inside. And what is the covid VAT you charged on top? Outrageous.

Food is good but communication for delays is shocking, over 1.5 hours for a delivery is not great service. A real pity as it means I am less likely to order from here.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Genuinely outstanding. I had the signature smash burger with a huge mountain of fries! and the wings were also 10/10! Staff are super friendly and very professional.

Firstly the rotisserie chicken is amazing. So juicy and full of flavour. I opted for sides of slaw , corn on the cob , fries and gravy . The slaw was fresh and crispy with the right of amount of acidity . The corn on the cob was juicy and fresh and the fries were cooked to order crispy and fluffy on the inside . I also included the chicken gravy which was tasty and just the right consistency. I was pleased to see that the packaging was eco friendly and worked really well . Will definitely be using these guys again . Highly recommend

Perfect Peckish!! Always like to pop in when down from London. Chicken tastes amazing. Reminds me of trips to the Spanish islands were rotisserie cooked chicken is common sight. Fries and sides are good as well, decent portions. reasonable prices. Staff friendly, polite and professional. Would definitely recommend.

My order was over an hour late. I ordered it for 1pm, it turned up past 2pm and was lukewarm. Mother’s Day was somewhat tainted because of this. As it was a big day, perhaps more staff should have been put on. The lateness of our orders is a regular thing. Disappointing. I do want to note that I ordered this a week in advance and it was delivered a week earlier than anticipated. I was given it free of charge which was lovely of the owner.

We popped in after rugby and we’re warmly welcomed and explained what could freshly be made for my vegetarian wife . Halloumi wraps and chips with lovely sauces and I had half a chicken and chips and homemade coleslaw.

Ordered a burrito and wings Burrito had a lot of bone, nearly every other bite involved removing bone from the mouthful so really disappointed. Wings were really tasty though and would recommend highly.

Needing a quick food pick me up we popped into this little restaurant in long street Cape Town staff were amazing and very helpful. Not feeling overly hungry we opted for a nice chicken wrap with French fries and two mugs of celon tea excellent service with friendly staff I would highly recommend a visit to this little gem ! I had the jerk chicken melt with the extra hot secret sauce - very tasty with freshness from the tropical slaw, loads of melted cheese and some nice fruitiness from the hot sauce (along with a good whack of heat). Recommend not eating it on a bench on the seafront though as you'll end up with it all over yourself... Or maybe that's just me.

A mistake was made with my order, and upon reporting was not even offered an apology much less a refund. The part of the order that was correct didn't taste great and was pretty flavourless, but food had gone cold (through no fault of the esablishment) so hopefully tastes better for those who have theirs hot. Prices were reasonable for products offered.

Ordered a few items from the menu just to see what it was like as we’ve always walked past the shop but never tried it. Delivery was super quick and food was hot. However, once we opened the bag we noticed something was missing. Not a bit issue we thought, phoned up and was told it would be here in 5/10 minutes. 40 minutes later they turned up. The chicken burger was ok, it just seemed to be minced chicken. The wrap… well that’s another story. A family member ended up almost choking on the string that holds a fresh chicken together. Will not be going back.

Ordered a roast for two. Live 20 mins away so drove home as I had some stuff to do ie didn’t have time to hang about. For not much more money I could have been in a pub in west London having a truly amazing roast. Potatoes not really roasted. Gravy was very strange. And without good gravy the Yorkshire’s and veggies are lost. Talking to a local woman outside the place she was saying how great the food was. No shortage of takers either. And in general review scores are pretty high. Next time I’m in Deal I’ll go back in and have a chat. See if we had a bad batch of gravy or if it’s just not to my taste.

Hate doing this but I'm also angry that I have spent my money on such a poor performance. I should never of cheated on my usual takeaway treat. I ordered a chicken kebab, which came with salad and garlic sauce, nachos & chips. I unwrapped my kebab and was faced with this. Chunks of lettuce, the miniscule amounts of garlic sauce absorbed into the super Crisp flat bread. Looked unappealing,I just picked the chicken out and had it with the nachos. Thankfully I ordered them as I would still be starving. 3 stars is being kind. Definitely won't order again.

Great food, just frustrating due to every time i place an order, there is always a problem. For example, majority of the time i ask for chips and cheese with garlic mayo, i get chips and cheese and no garlic mayo. Not a major isuue but its annoying when you arrive home and look at your food without the sauces you asked for. They definately need to improve on this

Only doing 2 stars because the kebab was terrible I couldn't even eat it but the pitterbread was perfect and the chips were decent and the barbecue sauce was banging

We ordered the kebabs x 4 .2 of them were really small and non of them had sourkrout. The meat had gone cold .we were very disappointed

Don’t waste your money got the big boy horrible cheap sausage lil to no chicken and nasty stuffing also got glazed carrots they were like you nans boiled carrots no glaze flavouring what’s so ever and as for the rotisserie potatoes what a joke just boiled with some tasteless red liquid on them honestly just don't do it cook your own roast.

We use to love Peckish but the delivery service on a Sunday is TERRIBLE! We waiting an hour for our food and we ordered at 9.40am??? Apparently it’s not the drivers fault but the fault of the business taking on too many orders at the same time. This needs work! Delicious food but DO NOT use the delivery service!

Very Poor Delivery Service I placed an order two nights ago at 18:29 with an estimated time of delivery being 19:00. I called at 19:20 to see where my food was and was told it was sitting in front of them waiting to be picked up by the driver to be delivered next. At 19:39 I got an email to say it was on its way. The food was finally delivered at 19:57. No apology when it finally arrived. Over an hour and 20 minutes after placing the order, nearly an hour after estimated delivery time, way over half hour it had been sat in the boxes/bags after being made/ packaged, and over 15 mins after it was on its way to being delivered. It's totally unacceptable. I'm not happy, no compensation or call explaining the delay. I paid over £30 for what.... Soggy, lukewarm food that wasn't worth what I had paid. I wish I had chosen the cash payment option as I would of cancelled my order by that point.

Delicious half chicken each with vegetables for impromptu need not to cook our own, Prompt service on ordering in shop. Only downside was needed at least double amount of gravy and a couple of the roast potatoes tasted as if previously cooked and reheated. Would use again but extra gravy a must for both of us!

My first time visit today was mainly because I was feeling too lazy to cook a sunday dinner :-) ... For my wife and I , I ordered half a chicken .. Roast spuds.. Caulliflower cheese ..2 yorkshire poods and a portion of gravy ... Portion size was just right .. Chicken excellent.... cauliflower cheese excellent .... Yorky pood , fairly good .... Roast spuds , Nowhere near cooked enough for me ... but I will concede that I do like cremated roast spud ... and these were like new potato's with a light suntan ....... But that's personal taste so I can't complain.. The fod listed above came to £11 which is not bad at all I did try to order all this online , but I gave up , their ordering system is hard work .. All in all it was pretty good and I am sure we will be back for more ..

Had a chicken, cheese and BBQ sauce toasted sandwich yesterday. Possibly one of the worst eating experience of the year, it was swimming in barbeque sauce to the exclusion of any other taste and was more of a soup in bread than a sandwich. But for being with my young daughter, I would have returned it rather than binned it. It had also been wrapped in kind of greaseproof paper in addition to the outer foil which had bound itself too the bread, so you were left peeling and tearing the sandwich to extract the paper. Other reviews suggest this place is usually really good, so this was clearly not typical but I did struggle to understand how this could have been deemed edible as it was wrapped up and handed over.

Had our last supper here before travelling home and it was amazing!! Extremely tasty food and quick collection service! Thanks guys 😃 would definitely come back if we didn’t live 5 hours away! X

So I've ordered from here many times, and rarely have problems with the food, however delivery always takes at least 20 minutes more than they say it will be. Today, I ordered a "big boy" sandwich and a chicken and cheddar melt - unfortunately the latter had stuck to the paper to the point it was inedible. For once we didn’t fancy cooking on a Sunday and thought we would try it out. We had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings plus puds. It was very tasty and well put together. Kids tried and love the fajitas! Delivered on time, plenty...

I have continued to use Peckish, as the chicken is just the best, even throughout this pandemic. Peckish have been amazing. Even todays delivery, was piping hot, very tasteful with the lovely delivery lady who was fantastic, respecting Covid distancing, she was still very attentive, asked me how I was and so for me customer service is fantastic! I still recommend Peckish even more so now. If you live in Deal or just visiting, this is definitely a takeaway that you need to try. I am sure you will agree with me. I am pleased that Peckish is also expanding as I believe in local businesses. I hope you continue to be successful so that others can enjoy your food too!

I just had my first takeaway from Pekish. I can highly recommend, absolutely amazing food. Best takeaway I have tasted.

It depends what you want really. It's convenient, handy, the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is a fair price, but mediocre. Over cooked chicken (so rather dry) and slightly under cooked potatoes. The peas and carrots were a touch overdone, but that is to be expected. To be honest, I will probably just throw a chicken in the oven for 90 mins next time. ************* (Added after response from Owner) An interesting response, I've never had such a pointlessly combative answer to a review. Not sure what I like? Implies that I like over cooked chicken? Well, OK, if you think it aids your case to play the man rather than the ball, that's your choice. The bottom line is that I gave an honest opinion of your roast chicken (which I have eaten) and you gave an opinion on my roast chicken (which you have not tried). If your reaction to an honest, considered, but not glowing review is to attempt to enter a slanging match then that makes one of us.

We order Peckish food regularly for Sunday lunch and throughout the week for wraps, baguettes, chicken and chips and Greek salads - every order is delivered with a smile, with absolutely massive amounts of food for the money. Great service and always very prompt with orders. A great local takeaway for the family!

Have had a few deliveries from Peckish during Lockdown and they’ve been absolutely delicious, arriving fresh and hot and perfectly cooked. The Sunday lunch with all the trimmings was amazing, veg not overcooked, roasties crisp, and chicken juicy. They must have been working flat out to deliver to everyone during this exceptional period, and anyone who can only complain and review of the basis of delivery time should just have cooked their own and see if they could do as good a job!

I had to isolate throughout lockdown during March, April, May and most of June. I had a Peckish delivery of a Sunday Roast every week, beautifully cooked and always delivered on time. Driver wore gloves and maintained social distancing, amazing local services throughout such difficult times. Deal is fortunate to have this service and the food is delicious and plentiful. Congratulations Peckish!

During the whole covid season seeing as i work on the roads I decided to get a meal for one from Peckish. I don't normally write reviews but the food was outstanding in fact the chicken was outstanding and tasty. You can tell there is passion in the business. Last day of May and we decided to get a takeaway Sunday dinner to cheer us up and do something a little different during lockdown. Peckish was recommended to us by a friend and it fully lived up to it's reputation succulent rotisserie chicken, roast potatoes, parsnips accompanied by Yorkshire and chipotle sausages. It was a feast. Looking forward to next time.

During this issue of Covid-19 and its restrictions. Its not easy to find a delivery of roast chicken and all the sides. Peckish is perfect and the food is amazing. High quality and the vegetables and sides are fantastic. I find myself ordering from here again and again oh and again. I definitely recommend ordering from here. Delivery is safe and on time. Oh and hot as well! So give it a go, I have not been disappointed in fact extremely delighted.

Didn't want to go out for our anniversary, had a takeaway from here. What can I say, everything cooked perfectly even carrots which some restaurants struggle with. Peas & carrots left over went into a beef stew in the slow cooker. Will be ordering again.

We love our peckish dinners, my favourite is the hot chicken wrap with buffalo sauce and added halloumi with sweet potato fries and my boyfriend loves the Sunday roast! Defo check it out, really reasonable prices given the generous portion sizes. Can’t wait to come back!

Nachos with large clump of cheese ie lump loads and loads of sour cream and spoonful salsa really disappointing for something so simply to do correctly it felt like it was rushed as cheese not even spread in lump and more like just nachos and sour cream .Fajita was average but fries tasted like cold cardboard from day before. The only good thing was the roast chicken so from now on I would only order chicken have had roast dinner with quarter of parsnip ! which ok . Really peed off as throw everything away apart from inside of fajita and chicken seems a lot money £25 . Stick to roast chicken and your be ok . Really disappointed with the rest .

Can't fault the place.. Such a great way to feed the family and with delivery as well, makes it ideal. We all enjoy the traditional roast and the additions to the menu with wraps means we can always find something for everyone...
