Huge portions and great spot next to the beach. Fish was freshly cooked and so didn't mind a little wait. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Limited seating options so principally a takeaway option. Rating for the food only.

We visited on Friday lunchtime and took away lovely fresh fish and chips, good sized portions, served with a wedge of lemon. The owners serving the food were friendly too. Highly recommended 👌.

One the best fish and chips! We placed a big order on the phone for collection for 7 people. I am a coeliac so we let them know in advance + requested that my food was clearly labelled separately as GF. They were so accommodating and understanding. The food was ready in time and it was DELICIOUS, all of us loved it. The gluten free batter was perfect, not greasy or soggy at all! It was also so nice to see so many GF options on the menu, (and not just cod) so I was able to have my first ever battered sausage as a coeliac snd it did not disappoint! The curry sauce was *chefs kiss*. If I ever come back to Deal it will be a must again :)

We visited here for the first time as a family on the weekend. What a very welcoming gentleman. The best fish, chips, chicken nuggets and battered sausages ever!!! My son is gluten free and the chips and battered sausage he described at the nicest he's ever had. Thanks very much and yes you were right.....your curry sauce is the best!!!!

It is the best fish and chips from Deal-Dover and their chicken nuggets are unique you won't find nowhere something like that my kids just loves them. Always looking forward to eat again.

Excellent fish and Chip shop. Had large Cod and Chips to take out. Cooked fresh and delicious. John the chatty owner is a great front man for this family business going back 25 years. Returned with a friend today. Very fresh fish. Great quality. Staff are very friendly. Served fish with lemon. Batter is spot on.

We had a superb fish and chip supper here - the friendly chap at the counter, who told me it had been going through four generations, threw in a free portion of mushy peas and even a saveloy for our lurcher, who he saw lurking at the door. Proper.

Great local chip shop, close to the beach and great food, friendly service, very popular, sometimes you have to wait for a small amount of time during peak hours. Probably one of the best in the local area

Did not take my order properly...the man serving was too busy schmoozing another customer. He was really irritating. After a 10 min wait I was a food portion short. Female staff member did not look up or greet us until she proffered the card reader for payment. Way more expensive than other fish and chips in Deal / Walmer...scampi is £1 per piece. Food was ok, but not much more than average and average portions. I have lived in this area for years and first time I visited...mill hill was closed sadly as much better & cheaper. Would drive further afield next time. Went home and made an omelette to have with my chips.

A nice sea front location with nearby parking. Three personable members of staff serving some nice, freshly cooked fish and chips. £12 now for medium cod and chips though. The fish was a bit above average, the chips a smidge below.

Had the most incredible dinner last night from this gorgeous fish and chip shop. The staff were beyond helpful and happy serving as it got busier. The portion sizes were generous to say the least and my Mum was so impressed with the gluten free batter that she actually went in on our way back passed to thank them for what is the nicest fish and chips she has ever had. Cannot recommend enough.

Sat outside and ate fish and chips here as a family. Tasted great and really good value. The staff were amazing, they were so incredibly helpful and friendly with my children too!

Nice staff, food was very good. Just a little expensive. Eg very small bottle of mayo £3.00. Chips £3.00 4.00 or 5.00. I understand things have gone up but for a small amount of potato and cooked in oil its a bit too much. Only 1 of us had fish as it was so much money.

For the amount of time you have to wait and the price of the food , bairing in mind I was the only person in there the food is not that great and had to return an item because it made my partner physically ill, next time we shall be going somewhere else .

I can honestly say the best chips I have had in a long time! I didn't have cash and card machine wasn't working, but was able to pay via BACS once my app finally accepted the details. All staff were so helpful and patient while I tried to sort it after many failed attempts! Cannot recommend enough and we really did enjoy it all the more! We will be back! Thank you

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hat mir auf Nachfrage Salt & Vinegar drauf gemacht, weil ich die richtige Menge nicht kenne. Ich hatte erst small fish und medium fries bestellt, dann hat mir die Bedienung gezeigt wie viel bereits small fries sind - und hatte absolut Recht, mehr hätte ich gar nicht geschafft. 10/10 würde hier wieder essen!

Absolutely brilliant food and great value for money. The service was extremely friendly and I was very impressed with everything. The man who served me was very proud of his homemade curry sauce and so he should be; it was fantastic. We had two kids’ meals, campo and chips plus mushy peas, curry sauce and three drinks for £25 which i thought was a great price. I only have good things to say about this place and highly recommend.

Fish and chips were exellent, dropped a star as the curry sauce was more like gravy with curry flavour. The service was outstanding, never have I been to a chippy and had such a pleasant person serving, really makes you feel like a valued customer. I also like the fact that they offer lemon with the fish and even wipes to clean your hands afterwards.

A chippy that caters for the gluten intolerant. All GF is cooked in different fryer or in separate hot cab. Reasonable priced too. I always have a fish n chip supper when in Deal. V popular place.

Great fish and chips but I baulked at paying 50p for a sachet of tomato ketchup. I'd rather go without. It's £2.39 for a 250g bottle of ketchup. That's just greedy!

Stumbled upon this great little chip shop tonight whilst out for a walk. Although it looked a bit dull on the outside the staff were great and soo helpful and friendly. The food was lovely, all freshly cooked with proper wooden cutlery and hand wipes for when we'd finished our take away 👍👍👍

A very old fashioned chippy run by what seems to be quite a young couple, but they are so professional and good at what they do. The fish and chips are in boxes, and with the details like a slice of lemon, set this chippy apart. Check them out!!

What a great place, yes it’s not a cheap meal but Fish & Chips has not been a bargain for a very long time and it was lovely. An abundance of Gluten Free & Vegan options, good quality and generous portions plus friendly staff. A large chips is too big for two to share, we had GF Medium Cod*2, Large Chips to share, Pickles and Curry/Pea Sauce and we probably have a third of chips left. All in it cost £28 which is the same as Nandos or Chinese (if you’re getting a ‘lunch box’ meal). Will defo visit again.

Visited this weekend, 26th Nov and food was excellent and service even better - really nice to have friendly owners/staff who were really welcoming and chatty. Fish and Chips was excellent. Unfortunately don't think any takeaway is cheap these days so prices were what we expected. Would definetly visit again and recommend.

The chips were perfectly cooked, my sausage in batter was lovely and my missus said her saveloy was great too. The man behind the counter (who was very chatty, asked us where we came from and informed us that we are what are known locally as DFL's Down from London) split the medium portion of chips into separate cones. Will definitely drop in here again.

The best haddock and chips I've had in a very long time. Haddock was milk white, flaky and really tasty in a crispy batter. I ate every scrap of it. Chips were hot and perfectly cooked. Price is crazy but everywhere is at the moment I guess, at least these were great to eat.

A gluten free chippy that actually has all separate preparation areas and fryer. Brilliant. The staff were really friendly and helpful with all the information. The fish [haddock] and chips were superb and at a reasonable cost. We will most certainly return there when in the area and I would heartily recommend it to everyone but in particular those who are coeliac or gluten intolerant.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The batter on the fish was soggy, the fish didn’t taste fresh and not well cooked, chips were greasy and also soggy. The best thing about it was probably the curry sauce which was Luke warm at best. Please don’t get fish and chips from here if you want a decent meal. Also very expensive for what it is.

First time in Deal, picked Walmers because of the friendly faces inside! Truly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Curry sauce was amazing and so were the nuggets! Staff were great and even made us a tiny portion for my 1 year old nephew! Highly recommend!!

After a very long drive and day with kids & grandparents we ended up here as it was still lit up & serving at gone 8:30pm. Parking all along street put front. The staff were lovely, had the outside seating dried off and ready for us following a rain shower, and had us all full to bursting with some delicious fish & chips, battered sausages & chips, savaloys & hot cuppas. Prices average for increase in F&C these days. Food great, service brilliant. Absalutely what we all needed, would definitely return. Full and very happy all round, thank you

Fantastic staff. She Memorized the entire order of 5 meals. Polite, funny and chatty staff. Fish was lush. Chips were lovely. Mushy peas too. Nice!! Sadly the saveloy was awful. It was over cooked, far too hard to even eat. Was it fried, not boiled? Yuck. Then again, it’s a saveloy. Bottom of the food chain!! I haven’t even docked you a star 😂 If we are back in the area we will ONLY come to you!! THANK YOU

Absolutely excellent cod and mushy peas, the batter was light and so crisp, the fish succulent and as fresh as it could be. I was given a free 'sprinkle' of chips. Lovely staff, with a very attentive manager overseeing the busy time with aplomb. Mushy peas perhaps a little sloppy but pretty good too. Well done and thankyou all, a really great little fish and chip shop. Good value too

The staff were really nice and the place clean. The prices were high but to be honest too high considering the food.. The chips were really rubbery and hard to cut or bite. The large haddock was pretty small. The skin was still on too which I dislike. This lead to quite a few bones. The curry sauce was okay tasting. The gluten free batter was very salty (that's from someone who loves salt and regularly adds salt to food). I was really looking forward to trying this place. But I'll try a few other places first before going back

I visited today and brought a portion of scampi with a child’s chips, a child’s nuggets and chips plus 2 cans of drink and a couple of tomato sauces , £22 !!! Are you actually kidding me the scampi was £12 and wasn’t that nice, I usually go to sea view but this was closer, never again

So good we came back for more! The most delicious freshly cooked cod and great chips too. Just the thing to eat sitting on a bench looking out to sea. Don’t miss out! Others locally may trumpet their celebrity credentials but this understated family run chippy is the best in town.
