Ordered for supper, with a 4 yr old…. Delivery 5:15pm- it didn’t come until 6pm! When we opened it, it wasn’t very hot and the steam from food had made everything soggy. Very disappointing. King fish used to be good - gone down hill.

Bought large haddock large chips, large rock large chips no flavour whatsoever and the rock was inedible reeking of ammonia. Won’t be returning!! Awful..

I dont understand with the negative comments! This is literally the BEST fish and chip shop around the whole of epsom, they’re always super busy and so professional. Always a clean atmosphere the workers are super friendly and kind! The fish is always tastes amazing and freshly cooked! They had issues with their potatoes a couple weeks ago but explained it with a sign up at the shop and also let us know ahead. The best shop ever! Keep the hard work up guys and thank you for your service! Xx

I was abit disappointed with the quality of the food this time. It's usually always nice but this time was as if it wasn't at all fresh or just completely over cooked.

Been going here weekly for years! However the last couple of months has been disappointing! I’ve asked numerous times to cook their “new season” (the reason they tell us they are not great) a bit less as they’re so dry & frankly inedible, the fish bites used to be chunky bits of cod cooked to perfection but now they’re clearly a cheaper alternative! Really nice staff but unfortunately the food has gone from being consistently lovely to very average. Such a shame but can’t warrant spending that £ every week to just moan about it! I was hoping it would improve but actually it’s really hasn’t 😕

Had amazing chips from here for years but over the past month the quality has gone completely down the drain. Twice now I've had fairly disgusting, limp, brown chips. How they have the gall to even serve these to paying customers I don't know. I don't know if they have changed the oil or the potatoes but it's gone from a solid 9/10 to a 1/10. Safe to say I won't be ordering from here again

Order arrived on time and the delivery driver was very polite. Sadly i had to place another order as an item was missing. Second order arrived on time too and was well packed. The down side is that I had to pay extra and wait for a refund. Despite not being my fault they added the refund to my just eat account instead of sending it back to my account. I believe it was very easy to check if my claim was genuine or not.

I am well disappointed I usually get it from here all the time fish was overcooked the chips like cardboard. I know you can do better gutted £17 overcooked, overpriced, unedible

Haddock was dry and not very tasty shame as this place is normally good but think will give it a miss for a bit and hope it improves and £1.50 for one onion come on

Ordered chips, chicken and a pie. Food lovely fresh, hot and extremely tasty will definitely be back. Haven’t had such nice chips for ages , definitely best I’ve had in this area

Have been using this chippie for 2 years now and has always been so good, but last night was just awful, no idea how often the chips had been refried but they were inedible, hard no sign of any potato left inside also cold, the fish was smashed to pieces and the batter was soggy, the roe was in bits and batter was soggy. Such a disappointment.

The guys at kingfish are so lovely, they know me by name and always ask how I am and what I've been up to. They are always polite and make me feel so welcome. Food is amazing, very generous portions and lovely quality fish. They don't need to ask if I want salt and vinegar because they remember how I take it which is a lovely personal touch. Always come away smiling and with a lovely hot meal. You can call to preoder so you have less waiting time, otherwise you usually have to wait 8-10 mins because everything is cooked fresh to order. Definitely recommend 🙌

The plain sausage was completely inedible. Horribly bad. Hoping it was a one off or a mistake because of that’s standard for the sausage then place should be shut down, beyond dry, tasteless, and utterly disgusting, straight in the bin. The chips were decent and the cod was good, but the curry sauce was runny like water. Very dissapointing.☹️👎

The best fish and chips I ever had.

Food was stolen from our order. CCTV in the restaurant robes it was put in. Absolutely livid that my daughter didn’t get her food. Going to think about leaving this service and start ordering from now on from there direct websites as this is not the 1st time we and people we know have had food stolen by unvetted and screened drivers.

As always the food was outstanding, freshly cooked fish, high quality produce used. It is always busy. Expect to wait a short while on collection. Don't use the apps as they add a huge mark up. Same meal in person collection was £29, on the app £40.50!!!!!! Best chippy in the area 👌

I ate fish and chips at them and it was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. There was no oil smell and it was very delicious. I highly recommend it and although it is a very clean small business inside.Whenever I come this area I go there to get yummy meal Thanks for all who work there so friendly as well..

Really disappointing service, as chips were missing from the meal, so just ended up with a portion of chicken nuggets to eat. Called to ask for them to get the driver to bring them, and was told no, as the delivery driver is not a King Fish member of staff, so there's nothing they can do. Not good enough and poor excuse - won't be ordering from here again.

The food had been sat under a heater for a long time. The batter was tepid and not crispy, the onion rings were soggy and the chips were like cardboard. When the takeaway was rung because it was running very late, they said they were waiting for a driver and that the order would be freshly cooked. Less than 10 mins later my order turned up. Very disappointed I paid my hard earned money in good faith.

Chips seem to be coated in something so not tasty as usual -possibly different potatoes too not enjoyable

have ordered from here many times and food has always been very good, but today was a tad under their usual standard. Fish was in 2 halves and under cooked, chips tepid and tasted like they had been recooked. Hope this was a one off and the next time I order it will be back to its very best.

Great best fish and chips around. One small card and large chips and portions were really large and excellent would highly recommend but you must get there early as that if you’re on the apps, sometimes I will stop taking orders at 6:30 as they are popular. Missed out a few times, so that should tell you how good they are.

Ordered via deliveroo. Large fish was a good size with nice and crispy batter. Chips were decent although prefer them a little more crispy.
