The best restaurants in South East

the food here is awful and SO overpriced. you think it’s cheap, but when it comes out and it’s absolutely tiny, the value is so poor. we left feeling so hungry. the cocktails are rubbish - i’ve had better ones at wetherspoon and for the price i expect them to be top tier. we had to sit near the bar where it was super busy, loud and the chairs were so uncomfortable. by far the most infuriating this was the extremely sneaky compulsory tip added to the bill. why are you asking customers to foot the bill when you refuse to pay your staff fairly? worse still, they word it as "an optional service charge is automatically added". so you make customers too uncomfortable to ask for it to be removed? so gross 🤮 we won’t be back and we’ve luckily prevented a few others from wasting money here too.

Very friendly staff and food amazing. Meat tasty and tender. Atmosphere was buzzing but not too noisy. We would definitely recommend and be back.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. What truly made the evening special was the incredibly kind and positive staff. They went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable. Their warm service made me feel truly celebrated.

Kieran, Lawis and jay was amazing and chatty 10/10 place to come for drinks and let loose. Very inviting!

Unusual little venue, with small but creative menu. Good vegetarian and vegan options (in fact about half the menu choices are vegetarian or vegan). For lunch, we started with some garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread which was a very generous portion, and in hindsight we didn't need it! My partner had the Vegan Chili Pot, which was impressive and tasty (not massively spicy, tasty). My daughter had the mushroom risotto which was divine! Our little one chose off the children's menu and had a hot dog and chips! My seafood chowder was also very tasty. The food was creatively presented! Nice coffee also. It's a really nice atmosphere sitting in an ex-bandstand building, great views up and down the sea front.
