We had an absolutely wonderful time at Bill’s Brighton, the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Thank you very much!

A very poor veggie breakfast with cold potatoes, toast and over cooked, lumpy scrambled eggs. Could have been a lot better.

We arrived 8 of us for brunch we were shown straight to our table two people in our group had dietary requirements this was no problem lots to choose from to meet their needs. Food all arrived warm and on time. and food was excellent. We ordered some of the cocktails which were very good. Our server Tom was great fun he was engaging, chatty and looked after us superbly. Thank you Tom you made our lunch very enjoyable.

Our first visit to Bill Brighton and it won’t be our last. The food was great, the customer was brilliant and the restaurant it really nice, although a little tucked away. This is however an ideal location if you want to eat before going to Komedia.

A birthday celebration. The waiting staff were extremely polite and attentive, but we were left disappointed by cold food and the brusk manager. We also overheard another diner complaining of having a hair in their food. One of our group is partially sighted and found the toilet area extremely difficult to navigate. You have to pass through a strange curtain and into a junk room to get there - it’s a bit like a cave with dark walls and poor lighting. We needed a torch! Later on, after being furnished with more drinks, the manager appeared and told us we have exceeded our booking slot by an hour, he said he needed the table back and presented the bill. There was nobody waiting to be seated at the door. Other empty tables also available. He said ‘no waiting’ and despite none of the card machines working effectively, eventually paid and left. Why did you serve us with another round of drinks and then kick us out? No-one told us we only had the table for two hours. Very inhospitable attitude. It marred the family event and we felt deflated and rather used. Bill’s is off the eating out list from now on. Will aim for local places and stay away from this chain.

Worst experience of my life, yesterday went there and ordered for takeaway food, completely different food given to me very little rice ( just about 2 spoon full) and got charged over £80. For 3 dish coofteh kebab and 4 slices of bughlava, terrible never going there again.

Great place in the heart of North Laine, I stopped in on a whim seeing the welcoming window and the tempting menu. And without regret, because I enjoyed it! The wraps are served in generous portions, well stocked and really tasty. It was really good. Good value for money. I recommend the Lamb Çöp Shish wraps with Halloumi cheese supplement.

The food is wonderful. I had the veggie main and the falafel were amazing. My husband had the lamb kebab and the meat was beautifully cooked and tender. Service is friendly and efficient and the seating areas are cosy and welcoming. The freshly cooked lavash bread is delicious, I could eat it all day long!

Proper Lebanese food. Just how my Granny used to make when I was a child ❤️ Fresh and real ingredients!

Website says opens at 8.00 am. Went there at10.00 am. Staff were rearranging furniture and left myself and other people waiting, only to be told they weren’t open and to come back. As if I would after that. I suggested they alter their website to be told rudely by the manager that they didn’t open until 11.00. Check your website and don’t be so rude to customers. I will never go again.

4 of us met for brunch at a prebooked table on Sat 3 Feb at 10.30. Hadnt seen each other for ages so we had lots to chat about. Food & drinks arrived quick & was nice but by 11.15 the bill was put on our table, before we'd even asked for it! We thought this was very rude & made us feel we were no-longer welcome, so we paid & went up the road to another coffee shop for more drinks. Also the unisex toilets smelt of urine. They need more regular cleaning, especially if men & women are sharing the same cubicles.

We visited for dinner after work with friends and we were very pleased. We ordered the mixed meze plate and especially loved the borek and falafel. Mix kebab and chicken shawarma plate was huge! And it's delicious. We were very pleased with the food, everything was delicious. The atmosphere and decoration were very relaxing and warm, and waiters were very friendly.

Honestly a hidden gem, despite its location on a busy street. Food was incredible - we got the shawarma and everything was super fresh (the salad was immense!). The staff couldn't have been better, friendly without being overbearing, and the atmosphere inside was really chilled. The restaurant is surrounded by fast food places like Burger King / Popeyes - give them a swerve and go here instead, you won't regret it.

Lavash is a lovely little Middle Eastern restaurant right in the heart of the city. The food is great and the service is better. Definitely worth a try.

Just because an eatery has built a strong reputation, doesn't mean it can afford to rest on its laurels. Bill's restaurant built its reputation on the quality of the food, which in the past has been exemplary, but based on a basic breakfast offering it is apparent something has been lost. My friend and I ordered a Traditional Breakfast and two coffees on Wednesday 3rd January '24. Despite having been asked if we'd like to start by ordering something to drink, the coffees took longer than the breakfast to arrive and were luke warm by the time we'd started tucking into the food. This breakfast comprised: 2 eggs (rubbery), a halved tomato (soggy, looked as if it had been sitting at the bottom of a pan for 3 days and tasteless), rashers of streaky bacon ( I wonder when these were first cooked as the rashers were dry, hard, cool), some mushrooms (hurrah: hot and tasty), a (cumberland) sausage (OK), 3 half slices of sourdough bread (also OK, but we had to request butter). The overall presentation was fair, but nothing like you see in the on line photos and the quality of the food was way below expectation and the plate it was served on was cold. It continues to amaze me that businesses that start small with high quality products, tend to lose their mojo when they expand to become a chain. I suppose people who work there, once familial and caught-up with the energy of something good, end-up just doing a job and appear to have lost sight of the point and purpose of something that was once distinguished by detailed presentation and delightful food, piping hot coffee. The service was both good and bad: despite the place being almost empty when we arrived, a waitress bid us to wait (she could have said, 'Go and sit anywhere' with a smile as there were so many tables available. Instead, she made us feel like we were doing her a favour: rude). The young man who eventually led us to our table and served us was pleasant and helpful, despite leaving the coffee to stand. For this service we did not tip. The decor of Bill's Brighton was excellent and elements resembled a theatrical set for a steam-punk vision of Dracula, but the food was tasteless and the service toothless, the overall experience lacking bite.

Lunchtime we dropped in on our way shops. Welcoming place and we all had chicken wraps / haloumi wraps at a tenner per person. The fillings were incredibly generous and tasty. Their own bread that they make the wraps with is awesome. Really good value and a real hidden gem.

Nice small place to have Turkish food. I had Shawarma plate with Shalgam drink. Quantity was more than what I expected, being Londoner I am used to have very small portion😁 but my plate was enough for 2 people.

We had a great New Year’s Eve bottomless brunch. Jess was fabulous, kept our glasses topped up and was super friendly and helpful. We loved Jess! Also great gluten free choices and food was delicious as always.

We had lunch in the Lavash restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the chef was perfectly happy to discuss some of the food we had. The interior of the restaurant is decorated to represent the inside of a building in the middle East and was pleasantly original. We selected the Vegan Platter which was delicious. The Lavash bread in particular was a delicious treat.

Given the reviews to date and the sight of fresh bread being made as you enter, it was all very underwhelming in the end. Both wraps were underseasoned. Extra chilli sauce was requested on one, but it was overpowered by the taste and quantity of the bread. As tame a middle eastern dish you will eat, albeit in a very friendly, well designed little space. Pomegranate juice stole the show.

Delicious and well run little restaurant. Had Börek for the first time and it was yummy with a really good red cabbage side salad. Turkish coffee and baklava was the perfect finish! Highly recommend.

This is the first time I've been to the North Street Lavash. I just went for a drink and some baklava and Turkish delight with my daughter. The people are lovely, so is the atmosphere. Really beautifully done. We felt so relaxed, we will come back for lunch or dinner soon because it all looks so delicious ♡

Post theatre supper. Restaurant was empty at 8.30pm on a Monday evening so easy to get seated. We ordered quickly - Bills Truffle Chicken two Ways was a severe disappointment. Chargrilled (plain and under seasoned) chicken with a red wine and truffle sauce - sauce was tasty but not a great hit of truffle. Crispy fried chicken and truffle mayo - could detect no hint of truffle. Potato mash under seasoned. Partner faired better with paneer, spinach & lentil curry and declared it very tasty but again under seasoned. Two glasses of wine and a bill of £50.00. Not a bad price for central Brighton but food needs more attention

Very welcoming venue! Staff were ever so friendly, ontop of this our server Katie was amazing. Very patient with a somewhat chaotic table. Would highly recommend for families. Food and Drinks were also fabulous.

What a shame, we appear to have picked the wrong day to visit Bills Brighton. We have used Bills Colchester a few times and been very happy, but Brighton did not meet expectations. Very slow service, mistakes made in who had what, but worst of all, was watching our server chatting while our food sat away from lamps for 10 to 12 minutes. Our meals arrived cold / Luke warm at best, my family just got on with it but I asked for an exchange. While second attempt was hot, taste was pretty awful. No one finished, very unlike my family, who are big eaters. In Bills defense, once I approached the manager to air complaints, she quickly sorted our bill to a more, palatable, level. Food not great, service pretty bad, manager very apologetic. Maybe next time the experience will be better. Update from initial review, had to drive back to Ipswich, multiple stops for being sick as it occurred to me after we left that they had indeed just warmed up my cold meal which had been sat around for ages in the microwave. Now on next day and still being ill. Even worse my wife has been very ill, as unknown to me on initial review; they gave her a Brioche bun after specifically asking and being told that she had a severe dairy intolerance. This is unforgivable and unprofessional. I would personally, like to be contacted by the company,to explain the catalogue of issues that failed today.

Have eaten at Bill's Brighton many times and always a positive experience. However, today's service and food was quite poor. We had to wait over forty minutes for our food, and when it arrived it was lukewarm. Very disappointing and unlikely to return based on this experience, after all it's not cheap. At no point did the staff ask how our food was.

Its hard to get the staff's attention when they're busy. Even when it comes to getting the bill or making payment

Wow this place does amazing food, we stopped for lunch of falafel and baba ganoush wraps. There was so much in the wraps and they tasted delicious. We ate downstairs but should have gone upstairs as decor is beautiful with a glass atrium at the back.

The food is absolutely divine and delicious. I had the classic burger and the meat was cooked to perfection! The service and staff were brilliant and speedy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so delightful and it is so beautifully decorated.

A bit of a mixed bag but overall very mediocre and lack lustre. It’s definitely fine down hill since it was taken over by the Ivy chain. The host was very friendly and seated us quickly. But aft after that it was a bit patchy....

I am regular customer in Lavash and food was always delicious there. On my last visit, only negative thing was that they keep changing chef and staff so food is not as great as it used to be when they first opened. Portion used to be also bigger. But maybe all this happened due to a new chef who probably is not fully trained yet. Hope your standards will improve in the future.

First visit to a Bills and what an introduction. Staff brilliant, food brilliant, service brilliant. Only neggy is as served in a metal plate the food was hot when it arrived but got cold towards the end of the meal. Would definitely choose Bills again.
