Bison Beer in Brighton and Hove

Awesome. The staff are nothing short of amazing—welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about craft beer. They went above and beyond. The beer selection is impressive, showcasing a dazzling array of craft ales that cater to all palates. Each pint I tried was superb, reflecting the high quality and variety Bison is known for. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some top-notch brews. I can't recommend this place highly enough! I now before them.

This place always makes me feel like they go the extra mile. I get a lot of on tap beer delivered, and it's just the best service like that in the area. Every time different beer. Just so nice

Microbrewery is always my place to drink. Amazing choices of canned beer, only wished they have at least one draught stout!

Great beers. The tacos and potatoes used to be delicious but recently they all taste like they’re covered in vinegar - please change it back

A group of us uncles & aunties were given vouchers as Christmas presents, finally got round to using them. And it was well worth the wait!! Great beers, great food and fab staff. Really bloody enjoyable 👍👍🍺🍔🍺🍺🍺🍺

My partner and I are locals and we have being going to bison most weekends or if not every other we find the team Really lovely , especially the guy with the blonde curlish hair he’s always so polite and knows we are locals we were there last sat and I have to say always a amazing choice of beers and we see it as a weekly treat you guys are doing great keep smashing it ! Menu very small (compared to one on website). Vegetarian options poor. What we did order and ate was disappointing. Not a great atmosphere inside.

We stopped for a few beers on a warm sunny evening. Had to stand on the crowded tiny terrace but that was OK. Decent beers and the whole atmosphere felt alright.

This is an awesome and homely venue would recommend the bottomless tacos as they're really filling :) couldn't finish the last dish because of this!! We will be returning thank you for making this birthday so special

Bison on Church is brilliant - they always get the very latest beer releases either in the fridge or on tap. The seating (in and out) is lovely, and you can either drink your beer in their shop or take it away (they also do growlers). Slam Tacos which is in residency there at the moment is really lovely - the portions are always bigger than I think and everything is delicious. So lucky to have this on the doorstep.

Fantastic experience with knowledgable and friendly staff Went for Tuesday night bottomless tacos and left feeling full and well dined! Hats off to the chef for the “Tuna loin and passion fruit taco” which was reminiscent of a Peruvian ceviche served in house made tortilla! Keep up the fun yet straight forward menu!

Dog friendly, relaxed vibes - awesome customer service. We had a birthday treat here today and Chef Sam Lambert pulled out all the stops with flavoursome and unusual Slam Tacos sharing plates that had something yummy for all our party to try - really delicious, fresh and attention to detail/presentation. Really recommend and will defo be back soon! Thanks Bison - we love you ❤️

Lovely place to visit for a variety of beers. A big choice if you are happy with cans of craft beer and the lady serving was really helpful in finding me a raspberry beer! A good variety of draft beers too. Especially good to visit when the sun is out as it’s a great sunny spot to sit outside.

I don’t want to ditch this place as I do like the gaff. But after having great experiences I took some friends for beers and wings and the food was so salty we genuinely thought it was a practical joke. Unfortunately not, so just a heads up, tread lightly with the salt! Beer and vibes was great tho X

It is one of my favourite beer shops. Confirmed. A diverse selection of craft beers from small breweries and the impressive quality of their brand, on the display. A handful is available to taste in the tap. Of course, you can take some to go in growlers also or get them dispatched to your door.

Great service and beer choice. Beers are more expensive than other beer specialists I like to go to, but then it is Brighton. It you get a chance to sit down for a drink, definitely give the Potato Skins a go as they are amazing.

i went to the bar to order a drink. the lady behind the bar continued having a conversation with one of her friends that were sitting at the beer. i then started to order and she stopped my by laughing and completely ignoring my order. shocking service.

Good atmosphere. Easy going. Nice music, but not too loud so you can still have a normal chat. Unlike in so many other places. Cans beer is expensive, but on tap is standard price. Recommended.

This is a great pub with lots to offer. The staff are amazing and always really helpful. The food is great and there is a great ale and wine selection.

We spent a few hours in here on a very rainy and windy Thursday afternoon. It was quiet when we arrived, but soon filled up nicely as the evening crowd started to arrive. A reasonable choice of draught beers (and a pilsner for my lager drinking companion) plus a comprehensive selection of cans and bottles. I tried the See Side APA and a stronger coffee stout, both of which were excellent. The service was great - friendly and efficient. All in all we really enjoyed our visit and will be back for sure.

Massive selection of beers, ales, sours, stouts etc. A small selection on a tap rotation too. Always enjoy visiting this place, and it’s on our to do list every time we have friends in town.

Came here for a beer with friends and it turned out this was the ‘soft launch’ of their Japanese kitchen. Ordered some pork belly and some Gyoza dumplings. Both items beautifully presented, gorgeous pickles and the dipping sauce complimented everything wonderfully. The love and care put into the food shows and it’s utterly delicious! Top marks, five stars.. absolute winner!

Popped in for a beer with friends and it was the ‘soft launch’ of their new Japanese kitchen ‘Mogu Mogu’. I ordered the Gyoza dumplings and some Pork Belly pork cubes. Both arrived beautifully presented - the pork cubes were served with home made radish pickles and amazing dipping sauce. The dumplings were super hot and seared beautifully. Both were utterly delicious and easily as good as any fine dining Japanese restaurant - but priced really reasonably. Overall a new gem in the Hove eatery scene - the love put into the food shows and I would highly recommend it. 10/10

Bison Beer Hove has become our favourite place. Expensive beers but amazing choices and if you want wine instead you pay less than for beer.

We tried a selection of the numerous variety of beers and cheeses on offer and really enjoyed the whole experience.Really lovely vibe to the place especially as the sun was shining and the staff were very knowledgable and friendly - well worth a visit

May be it is just me, but what is the attraction of sitting in what is a glorified and small store beer fridge paying OTT prices for canned beer. Just don't get it, but hey ho I'm old and the youngsters have very different tastes :-(

Excellent little bottle shop and bar.

This is the place to be. A huge range of bottle and can beer along with the draught. Add to that knowledgeable staff and outdoor seating.

First visit for me, and such a lovely laid back bar, great server and positive atmosphere!

Tonight was amazing! From the food, to the drinks, to the staff! Absolutely loved it!

A good place to grab a drink and watch the world go by, a good variety of drinks to sample and the added addition of some nice cured meats, fab cheeses and crusty bread to snack on if you get peckish.

Nice place to experience a lot of beer: they really have hundreds of different labels and types of beers. Don't think to be in a pub, no music or games, there are confortable seats and table, you have to come here if you want to try new tastes if beer.

Had a brilliant evening with my fiance learning about beer on a 'pairing beer with cheese' evening. The beers were all delicious, and I tried loads of things I never normally would. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and we will definitely be coming back for a more casual drink. Would recommend the place as the pairing beers and cheese equally highly!

Very much a hip craft beer experience as opposed to an old school real ale one. Compact but chic and loaded to the gunwhales with draft, keg, bottles and cans - just clap your hands. Some select cheese'n'charcuterie to pair with your beery tipple. Could round off a hipster Hove tour very nicely after - vintage clothes shopping, gourmet coffee sipping and barber beard trimming.

Nice place to have a beer and play board games. Super laid back and so many different types of indie beers to chose from as well as having a cracking selection on tap. Board games provided or bring your own, they don't mind it's well relaxed. Pricey though.

Was my local ( 71 visits in the past 12 months according to my Monzo card), unfortunately no longer; new staff of the dull and lifeless variety, ridiculous policies of where you can sit at weekends, dreadful music (what happened to the Zappa playlist guys!), sadly now just another humdrum Hove establishment, what a shame !

This place is awesome! We moved to Hove from Colorado and this is the best place we've found to get our craft beer fix.

Love the friendly welcome and the best selection of craft beers in town! The outdoor area is lovely to relax on especially when Henry jumps up on your lap... that's the famous dog not one of the barman! Give it a go if you've not been before - you won't be disappointed.

A great little bar and it was helpful to be able to try the cask beers before deciding. It was a lovely day when we called and we were able to sit outside in the sunshine - beware - strong ale.
