The best restaurants in Castle Worthing South East

Visited today with my parter, step son and mother in law, every time we come to Worthing we go to The Perch for lunch. Food as always was amazing. After a minor issue with my burger that I brought to the attention of our waitress when she cleared our table (I wasn't making a complaint, just letting her know about the issue) she was extremely apologetic (unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was brilliant). A few minutes later the manager (again forgot to ask his name) came to our table to also apologise. I did tell him that it wasn't that big a deal but he genuinly wanted to rectify the issue. Without doubt the best customer service I have ever experienced, as mentioned, I wasn't complaining I was just making them aware. Two minutes later there was a round of drinks brought to our table and my burger was taken off the bill, absolutely superb place, great food and absolutely amazing customer service. I would highly recommend The Perch On The Pier, absolutely superb!

Returned for lunch today after a really bad experience a month ago. Completely different this time. Extremely good service. Was looked after by two Katie’s! Both were very attentive. The food was delicious & we stayed for pudding and coffee. Both were delicious. Last time we visited I think it was just a really bad day. A lovely place to come to and we will visit again in the future. Thank you to both Katie’s for looking after us so well! :) I have removed the previous review.

Never put enough pineapple in the Hawilan burger

Went on a Friday as it opened, fish okay but chips very dry as if they were reheated from lunchtime First time since lockdown so very disappointed but will give them a second chance sometime

We recently hosted our wedding reception at Field Place, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, enjoyable, and incredibly memorable. The venue itself is beautiful — spacious, well-maintained, and full of charm, the gardens were a highlight. It provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration and looked amazing in all our photos. Our guests were impressed with the setting and kept commenting on how lovely everything was. The staff (Amanda and Emma) were fantastic to work with — responsive, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day special. They helped coordinate details and made sure things ran seamlessly on the day of the event, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy the moment. We’re so grateful we chose Field Place for such an important occasion. It truly made our wedding day feel special, and we would happily recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful and reliable venue.

We are a local young family and we’re treat very well by the nice man working there. Very happy and great price especially for round here. We will be regular guests now my son is aware it’s there. Defo worth a visit

We stumbled across this pub after a bracing walk on the nearby Wiston Estate. Our greeting was friendly, helpful and welcoming, we both selected the salt beef hash from the menu and it was utterly delicious. If the rest of the menu is as good as this dish, you will be assured of a great meal. The decor is a rather dated but don’t be put off - the fabulous service and food more than makes up for it.

The worst food I have ever had delivered. Items missing from delivery and the staff denied I had ordered it. King prawn balls were so soggy they fell apart getting the out of the bag. Burnt prawn toast rock hard ribs which were smaller than my child’s finger. When I phoned to complain they tried to offer half the money as a refund. I honestly wouldn’t have fed it to my dog so refused and said I wanted a full refund and they made me bring it back to the shop rather than collecting. Followed by very poor customer service when returning the food and being told they knew what had happened? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DID YOU FORGET HOW TO COOK BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY REASON FOOD LIKE THAT SHOULD LEAVE YOUR BUSINESS. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

The Sussex Yeoman is a great place for food and drinks. It’s reasonably priced and service is excellent. I can’t wait for them to reopen.

I had ordered a couple of portions of cheesy chips at the pub for lunch , and they were fantastic! The chips were golden and crispy, just how I like them, and the melted cheese on top was delicious. It was the perfect comfort food to share around the table, and everyone enjoyed them. We even tried them with a couple of different dips, which added an extra layer of flavour. Overall, it was a great choice for lunch, and I’d definitely order them again! The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing and they even had a little park for the kids, I found the staff very welcoming!
