The best restaurants in Bisham and Cookham Windsor and Maidenhead South East

We’ve had takeaways from Prema before but this weekend it was my husband’s birthday and we decided to introduce our friends to her amazing food. It was so fresh and bursting with flavour. The quality of the meat excellent and they were bowled over by the meal.

We were running late and I had heard good things about Yunan Messe Grill so we called in. Our order was quickly taken and after a short wait, we were given our food. The food was fantastic - really well cooked chicken, with salad, flatbread, rice and sauces. We really enjoyed our takeaway and will definitely go back!

A very nice Pub with good food from an excellent chef. Accommodation for an overnight stay was, however, disappointing and unpleasant. The annexe room was clean and very modern but obviously hadn't been heated for quite some time. Not entirely sure why you'd expect guests to stay in a room like an ice-well, with a piercingly cold bed and freezing bathroom. So it was uninviting and uncomfortable. The sole heat sources were a small, inadequate, fiddly-to-work electric wall heater and a small towel rail in the very draughty bathroom, both of which took many hours to warm the rooms to a comfortable temperature. Operating instructions for the wall heater would help. I spoke to a staff member about the heat problem more than once but no apology was made in my hearing. When I asked for help with the heating for the third time, the team member became obviously annoyed. A return stay is very unlikely unless it's in the summer months. Would recommend the food but not the rooms.

Overpriced food in meagre portions. Slow service with a confusing set up. Horrifically overpriced soft drinks. A rip off for what you get. Outdated and a bit tatty. With a good cart that brings around the saddest looking desserts, like something from there 70s. An Inn lost in time, in desperate need of an update. Too expensive, too small, not the experience you should pay for.

Proper old school family run Chinese restaurant. Excellent service and food. Restaurant was fully booked mid week which says it all

We booked a cooking class with Anong Thai and it did not disappoint. They were friendly and accommodating, and arranged for us to cook the dishes we requested. They have a kitchen set up to use for classes which is a perfect venue, and we had a lovely time learning to cook Thai dishes there. All of the food was absolutely delicious - would definitely recommend the experience.

Last night we introduced our friend to The Bull at Bisham and he loved it as much as we did from the bottle of red wine next to the roaring fire to a traditional roast turkey Christmas dinner through to a tough choice between the sweet trolley and Christmas pudding with custard. The staff were as friendly, helpful and attentive as ever to help make it a fun and enjoyable night out in the build up to Christmas.

The welcome, service, food and drink were all outstanding. The staff were attentive and all of the food was absolutely delicious. Try the Lychee sour, absolutely delicious and invented by the very talented bartender Krisztina. Hurley house is a lovely place to go for a special meal, I can’t recommend it enough.

Such a lovely friendly group of staff. Warm, clean.whats not to like! We had 1x chai latte, cappuccino and 1 lemon muffin and smoothie. Thanks guys.

Went for Sunday lunch having been recommended by a few different people. Had a table booked inside the restaurant after 45 minutes and having to share one menu between 4 people we ordered . The restaurant/ hotel seem more bothered about serving what can only be described as a pool party outside. Lots of people drinking and shouting. It reminded me of Spain in the 90s. Not a restaurant to go for a nice Sunday lunch. After 1 hour and no service we paid for our drinks and left. Went to a pub in the village and had a lovely meal. Won’t return and REALLY wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

An excellent Bangladeshi restaurant. Food was very tasty and we were very well looked after by Jalal. Best of all for me, I was able to eat gluten free thanks to the gluten labelled menu and the knowledge of the staff. We will be going back!

My bestie said we are going for afternoon tea for your Christmas present. I was somewhat surprised when we arrived here. Choice of tea blends, lovely tray of foods arrived, glass of prosecco, followed by lovely fresh fruit scone with jam and cream. My only complaint would be that it was freezing cold in there.

Maybe consider update your working hours!!
