Amazing restaurant. The food was exceptional, the best Thai food I’ve ever had, highly recommend the chicken PAD THAI, PED MAKHAM and Weeping tiger. The service was amazing too, attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

We ordered a duck dish for £19 and were asked what kind of rice it should be with it. We chose the coconut rice. Later when we were paying we discovered that this really small portion of rice was charged at an extra £5. The dish as a whole wasn't really much, more like a small portion. Overall, based on our experience, we can advise against this restaurant. It borders on usury. The staff was nice. But that alone is not enough. We won't be coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. This restaurant was recommended by a local resident, and we thought we'd give it a try. Very glad we did. Every dish we had was incredibly tasty and authentic. The Thai grren curry and sticky rice was just delicious to the core. Close your eyes and you could be in Thailand. The service was impeccable. Attentive and helpful. Only one small criticism that the portion sizes are a little on the small side. Looking forward to returning but likely to order more mains than starters.

I’ve been going here for 15 years and can’t rate Kitty’s (owner)food enough My fave is the chicken kaeng penang, ped ped salad (duck), Singapore noodles and carrot salad They have catered for my 40th and 50th party too which was absolutely faultless. The food is consistently good and is extremely tasty and fresh xx thank you ❤️

We have been trying to find a good Thai restaurant since our last local place sold up. Anong Thai will definitely not disappoint you. The food and customer service was impeccable. Although the service was slow today due to staff shortages it was definitely worth the wait. Katy and her team definitely gave us a wonderful experience. We were recommended this place as we were working in the area. What a delight amazing, beautifully decorated. Wow that starter was so tasty one of the best we’ve had. Recommended the Thai curry it was out standing. From start to finish every dish was delicious. Lovely friendly staff we will be back in our next visit.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Caters well to people who have gluten intolerance and other allergies with a clear ingredients menu and knowledgeable service staff. People were almost queuing out the door to get in for dining and takeaway services and the place was full. Eat here before it gets even more sought after!

We ate lunch here for my birthday in December, just before Christmas. We have known the owners from when they originally started up in High Wycombe many years ago now. We loved their food from back then.We have eaten here before, but a few years back. Our lunch was just great, excellent food as expected. We would recommend eating here at any time. Loved it. And it was lovely to see the oldest daughter working there, when we remember her Mum being pregnant with her!!! Great food, can't fault it.

We had a friends meet up here for lunch. Absolutely loved all the dishes we had, especially the green curry. Mouthwatering goodness. Great staff, so helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back 🤗

Love the food here, used to visit a lot when they were in High Wycombe but life got in the way before we could get to them in Cookham but we will be back. Can't recommend them enough.

Tried this place recently during a night out. Overall atmosphere is ok, but the portions are too small and the prices relatively high. There are much better options around Maidenhead. No idea how the overall rating is so high.

Always went to another Thai restaurant chain but thought we'd try a more local one for a change. We can't fault it. Chicken and Prawn Pad Thai was delicious. We really liked the Green Chicken Curry, both in taste and presentation! The experience was made even better by the waitress who was very friendly and always smiling. You can tell that she loved her work.

Found this restaurant on Instagram. I enjoy fine dining, especially at Michelin restaurants. Food was superb and just as good as the top end restaurants, authentic and delicate. The mixed starters were a highlight, all handmade by the chef and served fresh. They were so delicate and full of all natural flavours. I came all the way from Canary Wharf just to try this place out and was not disappointed. Would come again and recommend to everyone who wants to try Thai palace cuisine.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars for the food was because we asked for extra spicy, and there was very little spice.

A really friendly restaurant with knowledgeable staff and authentic Thai food. My Thai daughter-in-law was with us and she is usually disappointed at the Thai restaurants over here. This time was different! A pretty setting, out in the sheltered area. I will definitely be visiting again when I'm in the area.

Excellent food and service, the weather was nice so we were sat in their nice little courtyard garden. Recommended.

I went to this establishment with 3 other people who said that the food was excellent. I had Pad Khapow which I thought was a bit bland for Thai food. But overall I have given 5 stars due to the other people opinions.

The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Yellow curry was really delicious. Lovely atmosphere. The shared starter wasn't as good as what I've had in other Thai restaurants but it was still good. Will definitely go back when in the area again.

We met for a team gathering and reserved ahead by text as restaurant doesn't open till 5pm during the week. Duly confirmed and the odd parking space on the main road. Singha beer in plentiful supply or 0% beer. Its very friendly with Kitty running front of house. We had 2 platters of starters which were duly consumed mixture of satay, spring rolls, prawn toast fish cakes and moneybags. We ordered a variety of dishes and sides to share. We realised not one of us ordered a curry all stir fry. So reason to return. Nice find for us from our office in Slough

Fantastic Thai restaurant in Cookham. The service was super friendly and fast. The food was fresh and well made. I felt like I was in a home of someone having a wonderful and tasty dinner. We order a seafood salad, seafood noodles, and green curry with some rice. In the end , we also had a super refreshing coconut dessert. We didn't wait long, and everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. It's one of the best Thai I ever had around London. If you like Thai and you are around Cookham, I would recommend going.

Amazing service and amazing food! I’ve eaten here 3 times in the last 6 months and it never disappoints. The Tom yum soup is my nieces favourite, while I enjoy the green Thai curry and fried rice. Also, I’d like to add that it’s one of the best kid-friendly restaurants I’ve visited.

I had a wonderful experience today. The manager and staff were very friendly and the food was clearly fresh, well prepared and very authentic. None of the dishes were a disappointment and you can really taste the effort that was put into making the dishes. Between the two of us we ordered the mixed starters, green curry chicken, duck salad, weeping tiger, coconut rice, and prawn and chicken pad thai. For desserts and drinks we got the thai ice tea, mango sticky rice and pandan pancakes with ice cream. The highlight for me was the mixed starters, especially the spring rolls and fish cake, as everything was made in house by the chef from scratch with no added flavour enhancers. Everything tasted natural and delicious and as the food should be; nothing less and nothing more. I would say this is one of the best and authentic Thai restaurants in London and I would definitely be coming back if I’m around the area. It is worth the detour and I highly recommend it. Overall a very positive experience!

Started with the aubergine salad which was a blast of lime and herbs set against the soft and slightly charred aubergine. Next we had the yellow curry and once again the flavors of the dish jumped out and were very good. Service was very friendly. Service was ok and the food was average. Tom yum soup was watery and not red in colour as it should be. Value for money is poor, as for a £16 main course (without rice) you would expect a bigger portion of protein. Other main course was so salty that all the other flavours were lost. After seeing the reviews, we were really excited to be trying this restaurant but unfortunately will not be returning

A great dish is when all the ingredients come together. A great Restaurant, is when all the ingredients come together, plus they are served by really happy staff, who are very knowledgeable This is ANONG Thai Restaurant has in Cookham, the food and staff are managed by the incurable Kitty, my wife and I have eaten there several times now, in fact a trip to Berkshire would not be the same with out at least one evening meal a the ANONG restaurant, Kitty and her team do hot compromise on quality in both food and service.

We ordered takeway for New Year's Eve and it was absolutely delicious. In terms of food, I would say this is the best and most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. The Penang curry is my favourite and not always easy to find on the menu at other places. We've eaten in before as well as few times and it's a shame the interior isn't in the traditional wooden Thai style, so it's not quite as pretty as other Thai restaurants can be, but the food more than makes up for that. Also the service has always been really good. The staff are very nice and welcoming, and very helpful when ordering over the phone too.

The kindest sweetest most understanding lovely people I cannot express how much to go there coming from someone whose picky it was amazing the delicate authentic food and the presentation was perfect I 100% recommend I never make reviews this is my first one and I always go to restaurants it’s a fancy home away from home. Where can I start . A truly amazing evenin first time there and from you walk in you’re treated like royalty . Staff so welcoming to say the the least . Menu outstanding and served so beautifully . Sue waitress Sue with the amazing hair was so gorgeous . We were lucky to meet he owner Kitty and all staff were wonderful . Food absolutely fantastic and the Malbec from Mendoza super . We have been coming to Anong Thai for almost 20 years. The quality of the food is first rate. Authentic friendly service and some Thai dishes I don't find elsewhere. Simply wonderful

As usual I started by informing the server of my garlic allergy, but it had already been noted from our booking. The staff were very attentive and made sure that no garlic came my way, not only that, they continued to point out anything that had garlic in it that was being eaten by everyone else in our party. Excellent service all round and very nice food.

Two of us went in to order a takeaway. Was obvious the restaurant was busy and we were ignored. The party of six behind us were greeted first. We enquired about a takeaway and without asking what we wanted the woman just responded "we are extremely busy" then proceeded to seat the party of six. All we really wanted was noodles and a curry. Quite clear that money and ethnicity talks.

Me and my mate went there last Friday evening, we have been eating there for many years, but that night has put us off from going there again. Even though we booked a table we had to wait and we’re given a table right next to the bar, so everyone coming in to pick up an order, we had their rear side in our faces. The manager kept saying your table will be ready in 2 minutes but other customers were given priority (mainly non ethnic), we got so fed up so decided to leave, had no apology from the manager until I pointed out she was not even sorry for the inconvenience as it was so late and we’re left hungry, she even charged us for the drinks and starter that we ordered whilst we waited. Whilst we were there we experienced another unhappy customer who stormed out. That place is under staffed and the manager has no idea how to cope, people were waiting around and over crowded. The food maybe nice but the quality of service has fallen.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and staff very friendly. We were a large party on 21/4/22 but all the food came out together. Would highly recconmend.

Really enjoyed Anong Thai, lovely food and good service. We ate out the back in the "Tent" . Nicely decorated. This is probably one of the better if not the best Thai restaurant in the area.

Despite the horrible people on the table next to us who we nearly ended up fighting with the food was as ever great and the staff lovely... they just need to not let drunk and loud people in to eat in futire..

Ordered a takeaway at 7pm and was told it would be ready at 8pm. Arrived at 8pm and was told it was not ready yet but they asked me to pay for the order. Waited another 30mins while they served 2 other takeaway orders and was then told they would start cooking our food. I could not wait any longer and got a refund. Totally unacceptable on a Sunday night/mothers day when you have hungry children at home. They should have been honest and said they we too busy or just cooked the food so it was ready at 8pm. Won't be going back.

The food....This was our first visit and it was the best thai I have ever had and thai is always my first choice for food. The food and service are always excellent. I lived in Thailand for around 20 years and the food here is the closest I've had to authentic Thai food since I've been back. I also recently celebrated my birthday here. There were 20 of us and the staff couldn't have looked after us better.

Food was average but did lack a lot of flavour, felt pressured into desserts. Felt like we were being crammed in the gazebo out the back. We have been to many Thai restaurants, but this one did not measure up. They left us waiting for the bill for at least 10-minutes which was wrong and had things that we didn't order. We will not be returning. They put a 15% service charge on all receipts, which I find to be very high for this restaurant.

Went back to Anong Thai for the first time since Covid. Today I realised just how much I have missed proper Thai food. Really good setup with both indoors and outdoors weather proof heated area (See photos). Can't praise it enough. Try the Sticky rice...

So good to be back! The food at Anong Thai never disappoints and the service is always so warm and friendly. Delicious authentic dishes with lovely fresh ingredients. They catered for our large group at short notice on Fathers Day, which included gluten free, veggies...

We visited a few years back, the food experience was stunning and hadn’t had the opportunity to come back until recently. Still first class food and service so cannot recommend highly enough if you live in the area.
