It was great to meet Nick and Jean-Noel. Had an amazing sandwich just before a meeting I had locally. Spent most of the time talking about beers of the world and Beaujolais. I literally could have stayed there all day and spoke to them. And the sandwich? Top tier! Fresh, juicy chicken, amazing sourdough, a punchy harissa mayo with a French dressing that made salad cream obsolete. Never change, guys!

What a quaint deli and eatery! Best french salami, cheese and wine with super friendly owners. Worth a visit.

Sublime cheese and charcuterie with the added bonus that wines are sourced direct from small suppliers, which equals big money wine for a lot less than expected. Noel and his team really know their stuff and make you feel very welcome!

I've only tried the pastries and sandwiches so far but they're really nice and it's my go to sandwich place now...especially if you time it well to get them freshly baked!

Popped in on a rainy Friday lunchtime having visited the Stanley Spencer Gallery. Friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere (surrounded by wine and cheese, so what's not to love??) A choice of freshly made to order baguettes, pastries and pies. We went for the ham and Emmenthal, and the tartiflette pie - both of which were faultless. Coffee was excellent too. Tempted to buy the entire shop, but managed to leave with just a sourdough baguette and some Roquefort (and another tartiflette pie!). Father and son are both so friendly and helpful (good local info too), so much so that we are already planning our next visit.

Great selection but leave your wallet at home and only take the amount of money you want to spend or you'll get behind on your mortgage!

I ordered some specialist French cheese for my family at Christmas and I couldn't be happier. I placed my order very late, so missed the Christmas last shipping date, however they were very kind and kept me informed via telephone, ensuring me that the order would be despatched as soon as they reopened. The Picodon, St Marcelin and Tomme de Savoie we received has made my Ardechois-in-exile father incredibly happy, as it is as good as any you'd find in the markets of the Upper Rhone Valley. I just wish this place had a branch in Sheffield where I live, as I would be a regular! Fantastique!

My, my, my! What an absolutely amazing find! I wanted to order some speciality French products for my partner. In particular, a cheese his grandfather used to make in Cantal, France. I ordered online, but opted to visit and collect my products after a lovely chat with Nick. Such an immensely, beautiful & full heartedly family affair-hospitality and service at it’s finest! Being my first visit, I joked I could spend hours there (and actually did)! Everyone that walks through the door, is made to feel like a part of the family, you just never want to leave. I have never received such thorough knowledge and expertise on every single product, with absolute cheer, delight and warmth…..so much so, I purchased more products in the shop! Lol Nick and his lovely dad are très magnifique and will regret being so nice as I’m afraid I’ll be back with my partner’s side of the family when they visit from France. Thank you for an unforgettable shopping experience and see you soon 👍😋

This was a superb introduction to wine tasting. We were served a generous cheeseboard to accompany our wine. The guy talked us through and gave an insight & history to each wine, how the grapes are nurtured & the effect this has on the palette. He chose 3 delicious wines to sample and paired them with amazing cheeses. It was a delightful afternoon. Highly recommended

Attention, hidden gem ahead! Noel, his son and the team are doing a tremendous job! Each product you will find there has been specifically chosen by Noel the master at work! Since our first visit we have been greeted incredibly cheerfully, only that makes you want to come again. When it comes to French food, Deliciously French won't fool you, you're in for a treat. Visited this cafe at the end of last week for a catch up with a friend. Friendly welcome and good service. Ordered two coffees which were well presented and full of flavour. Nice to be able to sit outside too at one of the small tables and on the right day, which it was, it’s a lovely sunny spot too! Might have to explore the wine and cheeses on another occasion.

Great shop with amazing french produce. The new deserts are a must to try.

Superb selection of French favourites, to takeaway, eat in or at home. Staples and specialities of the highest quality, the clue’s in the name really. Nicky and Noel are great guys too, very welcoming and generous by nature. I’ve been a customer for many years and would thoroughly recommend. This is one of those unique ‘destination’ shops worth a trip from a far if you’re not fortunate to live close by.

I haven’t visited personally – yet! I have only ordered from them on-line. Their service was first class and the food and wine they delivered was fabulous. I had been let down badly by another company (based in France) who I had bought from for a couple of years. So, I was looking around for someone who did something similar and I landed on Deliciously French. What a fantastic find. I made my order online – an easy process. Next day I got a call as one of the products I'd chosen wasn't available and they offered an alternative. They were incredibly polite and friendly (very un-French! :) ). If they are this good in the flesh then this is a fabulous find. Unfortunately, I live too far away to drop in on a regular basis, but I will continue to order online - particularly liked the Duck Rillette - and am looking forward to paying a personal visit when the world is back to some sort of normality. I am so glad the French company let me down.

Stopped here for sustenance whilst out on a long bike ride. This place is brilliant, the world needs more like it. Highly recommended. Cakes, pastries, loads of cheeses, fresh baked bread etc. Just ordered some stuff from them online too. Thanks to the owner for making it happen. Will be back.

Love this place. Particularly the selection of goat and sheep cheeses, ham and cheese croissant, lemon cake and bananna cake are so yummy. One slice is never enough. Coupled with a coffee expertly made. Excellent.

Charming French deli with amazing authentic produce. Found all the Festive must haves, foie gras, cheese, wine, charcuterie, chocolate and they even stock an amazing French butter! Don't forget to grab one of their lovely coffees to go on your way out.

Picked up a great selection of cheeses for Christmas presents after some good advice from the staff. The stock of pate and wine looked fantastic as well.

The owner and his son are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I've only had a coffee from there, which is strong and smooth, but my husband says the focaccia I bought him was extremely nice and my foodie Dad enjoyed the cheese and wine hamper they put together for him for Christmas. My Dad, as a result, asked where they were so he could pay them a visit. Definitely recommend.

Why did it take us so long to visit this wonderful emporium of French food, wine and more. Noel, the owner greeted us with charm and knowledge and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back again soon.

Noel n Nick are great hosts very knowledgeable about their wines n cheeses. Went there several times during our holiday in the area and bought several cases of very good french wine. Highly recommend a visit for their wonderful hospitality and deli n wine choices.

Visited over the weekend and ordered a couple of croissants and their grand murals cheese to go with them. Really tasty and did not even need butter. The only thing I would encourage them to do would be to offer milk alternatives for their coffee.

Delicious cheese, staff know everything about the cheese they're selling, excellent recommendations, they let you taste the cheese. Can't go wrong with deliciously french they've been the best since I was a child.

My partner is Parisian, and has long been complaining of the lack of good cheese, some of his home comforts and a good baguette! We bought a couple of baguettes which were the loveliest I have tasted and he was very happy as it “didn’t go all soggy” the next day The cheese section we took home were goats cheese with truffle, a Brie with truffle, an aged comte and lastly a slice of abondance. Bought yesterday as an Easter treat/birthday present, it has lasted two grand lunchtimes, he has been in his element ever since. We were greeted by two lovely chaps and hope to be back very very soon! A genuinely lovely find and pleased he could chitchat away in his mother tongue and made to feel right at home! Splendid and surprisingly wide selection of wines plus first rate cheeses, pâtés. Coffee looked good and will try next time. 5 stars for outstanding knowledge and service.

I popped in here for the first time ever as I was driving past and saw someone coming out with a baguette. Sitting on the shelf was a selection of breads, some proudly proclaiming on hand-written signs that they were made from sourdough. Being a fan of a good sourdough bread, I therefore bought a sourdough baguette and a sourdough boule. The baguette was ok (if a bit tough), but the boule was most definitely not. The crust was like rubber and the inside was the sort of white compacted sponge you normally end up with when you've run out of bread at 10pm and have to buy some from the local petrol station. I normally wouldn't bother writing a review about a loaf of bread, but this isn't the first time I've been conned by a hand-written sign into paying sourdough prices for supermarket bread. It's a shame because the owners are very amenable and the place does stock an interesting selection for Francophiles like me.

The coffee is always excellent and, by UK standards, reasonably priced. There is a wonderful selection of cheese and cooked meats as well as wine and some beers and ciders. The seating is limited so often there is a need to share the large common table. Noel and Nick, the father and son propriétaires, are two great individuals, with Noel having a touch of Rick Stein about him in his passion for food and drink.

I had a little vegetarian pie and a coffee sat outside with my dogs. It was lovely. My dogs enjoyed a sausage roll each. The owner was very friendly and knowledgable.

My wife and I went here for lunch the other day. We sat inside and each had a nice sandwich and a ginger beer. Service is good and the sandwich is excellent. Sadly, the sandwiches are pre-prepared and you can't order specific combinations of fillings. No big deal as they had what we both wanted.

We had been meaning to try the coffee here for some time. What a find! A really great tasting cup of coffee accompanied by delicious fresh pastries. Nicholas was very attentive and service & quirky ambience of this Independent was great. The Deli also sells a fabulous selection of cold meats and cheeses. Can't wait to return!

Excellent coffee, hot chocolate and we had a ciabatta each. Mine was with the most amazing salmon and cucumber and my friend had the tuna. Both were very fresh, we had to wait for the bread to cool before it could be cut. I've had their pastries in the past and also excellent. Its quite a small shop/cafe but full of curiosities. Great independent wine shop with an array of interesting cheeses and hams. Highly recommend. It's not the cheapest place locally but it is value for money, you pay for what you get. Try it, I wasn't disappointed.

Shopped here for our Christmas cheese and the selection was great and very much enjoyed. However, the visit was marred by the owner, who I felt was rude to both of my children. Great option if without kids but not a family friendly vibe and so wouldn’t return for that reason.

We had good weather so it was just like sitting outside a French Deli in Europe. A tiny bit of France over here, delicious craft beer to complement tasty sandwich.

A fabulous selection of quality imported French produce and wines, with a very small cafe area. The business is family owned and run, with a knowledgeable host who is half French. Sandwiches made from produce in stock in the shop.Please, please walk past the deli counter in the supermarket and come here for your cheese, wine, and charcuterie!!

Living in the area, how come I haven’t heard of this hot-spot of a cafe... it may be small in size but big on quality & ambience... food tasted delicious with plenty vegetarian options and served promptly & politely (though being English do prefer a teapot).

The cheese, charcuterie and general food selection here is excellent. Like a lot of French food it is simple, made with good produce and tastes delicious. Go here for lunch if you haven't already!

Popped in for coffee and stayed for lunch. I love Cookham's Costa, but the Cappuccino at D. French is the same price, but much larger (inc 2 shots espresso) & better quality. Noel the owner took the time to talk through some of his wine & cheeses, and made us fresh sandwiches at under £3 each, with home baked bread. We also got a free taster of the homemade onion soup (tasted amazing!). The quality of all his produce is top class, and his passion and knowledge refreshing. The only reason its not 5/5 is that I would have wished a larger eating in area (so more were able to eat in), with some ambiance music to make it more atmospheric, but thats the restriction of the site, and the business is more retail/ catering focused. Great to have such a shop/ cafe in the village

We recently discovered this excellent little wine and cheese shop that also has a small cafe area and we've begun a ritual of finishing our weekend bike rides here with a delicious tuna baguette and cup of coffee. The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about his produce and the staff (all French) are very friendly. We recently had a house-warming gathering and the wines and cheeses we'd bought from here were a big hit.
