The best restaurants in Wealden South East

Visited for Sunday breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Beautifully clean, very pleasant waitress showed us to our table. Like being back in 1950’s so pleasant. Food excellent, freshly cooked and plenty of it. Great selection of drinks. Overall a very enjoyable experience, looking forward to returning maybe for lunch as the cakes looked amazing!!

Had a lovely lunch at TPodz (at the back of the Emporium shop) - we had jacket potatoes and our daughter had the Number One breakfast. Filling indeed. Good range of food, teas, coffees too. Been before, quite a few times now, and had a lovely hot chocolate followed by an orange chocolate cake, which was delicious. Friendly staff too and better still, our well-behaved dog was allowed to sit quietly under our table. We've also sat outside at the front of the Emporium to eat too when it's nice.

Shame as ordered the fluffy pancakes with berry compote, Disappointed as unfluffy pancakes arrived with a dollop of strawberry jam ! Our 1st time ,everything looked lovely,and I graciously returned pancakes,saying happily swop for cakes and coffees (as all looked delicious) was told would just refund ,if wanted the compote would take half hour . Maybe a communication before order placed could have alleviated any bad press,and a happy retaining customer .

We are very lucky to have this outlet in our area. I love Vietnamese food and there is nowhere else for many miles. The couple who run the business are lovely friendly people. The food, as usual, was truly wonderful. I cannot recommend it more highly

This place is BY FAR the best Coffee shop in Heathfield, and is also the only dog friendly one. The staff are very friendly and are great baristas. Asking for oat milk is totally okay and normal too

After going there for over 10 years, we were told in no uncertain terms that the kitchen closed at 1.30. they wouldn't even make us a sandwich or offer a cup of tea. Shame on then, we wen't to a lovely little place opposite ASDA in the arcade had a gorgeous cheese and ham sandwich and a pot of tea........

After a walk from Berwick station we pop in on a Saturday just in time (well a bit late actually but they accommodated us with a smile) to catch a coffee and cake. Pity they close at 1pm on a Saturday. The staff were very friendly and the place looks and feels great. The coffee and cakes were excellent!

Popped in for a coffee whilst in the area for business. Charming little place. I simply wanted to mention this place as the flat white I had was a great, great cup of coffee. If only other coffee shops could provide similar quality.

A lovely place but service was slow and my fish finger sandwich was OK but expensive considering they used margarine in it

I went with a friend and her daughter. we had an amazing meal. started with garlic confit with roasted tomatoes which was Superb and wonderfully fresh. there was a vegetarian option. we had the Chicken, leek and ham pie which came with cabbage and brocoli. I love chicken pie, but this was one of the best of my life. we also had fresh fruit salad and shortbread. amazing value for just £9.50.

I’ve been here many times over the last 5 years. It’s a wonderful, locally owned, and beautiful restaurant. The wine selection is fantastic and the food is always good. I highly recommend

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with my partner. Very cold day today, but the service (from Marco) and food made it a wonderful experience.

We were welcomed warmly; the boss is adorable! We recommend this place 😊

We stayed just one night and selected the location as it was close to Buxted Park and within a short drive of Ardingly Showground. The room was alright, could have done with better lighting, but otherwise good. We had dinner downstairs in the bar which was a bit quieter once all the children had left! The only downer was the breakfast and which wasn’t included n the room price and was a little uninspired.

great pub and garden to relax in, good food and freindly staff. always a pleasure.
