Had a lovely lunch at TPodz (at the back of the Emporium shop) - we had jacket potatoes and our daughter had the Number One breakfast. Filling indeed. Good range of food, teas, coffees too. Been before, quite a few times now, and had a lovely hot chocolate followed by an orange chocolate cake, which was delicious. Friendly staff too and better still, our well-behaved dog was allowed to sit quietly under our table. We've also sat outside at the front of the Emporium to eat too when it's nice.

Welcoming little Emporium with loads to see for a relaxing visit. Friendly staff and excellent cafe. The cheese scones were freshly made and very scrum, very cheesy! Coffee excellent. Will definitely go again!

Great food, great service and below expected priced. All food cooked to order. The scones were amazing and cooked by them on the premises from real ingredients not scone mix - therefore no awful baking powder aftertaste and gorgeous texture.

Having enjoyed the breakfast (+ my Dad says the ham & cheese omelette is delicious) & afternoon tea from Tpodz before, I decided to ask them to cater for a 90th birthday party. I can't recommend them enough - all the guests asked me to compliment the caterers - sausage rolls, scones, pizza wheels, lemon drizzle & ginger cakes were particularly gorgeous, but all the sandwiches and other cakes were nice too. They went to a lot of effort to balance the menu taking into account mix of ages, vegans & my Dad's special request for what turned out to be a delightful soup. The pastry & cake cooking really was top quality, all ingredients were fresh and tasty fresh and the service outstanding in every way - all for a very reasonable price. Just what I'd expect from Tpodz, as it's always been my experience eating in the cafe or taking food away.

Style over Substance . Expensive cheap food, cash and carry approach, sachets of condiments, tasteless white sliced bread, oh, *the beans the beans* saccharine adulterated tasteless cheaply bought rubbish. If they spent less on image and more on decent wholesome grub they'd be on to a winner. The waiting staff are pleasant enough, but give the impression that they are primarily subservient to the ethos of the "management".; ie getting money in the till.

Very friendly and happy service. All the staff very helpful. I asked if my breakfast could be fried in Fry-light as I am on a low fat diet . The lady in charge said no problem . The following week we went in and my breakfast was cooked in Fry- Light . I really enjoyed my breakfast . So kind to meet my special dietary needs .

Seven of us stopped here for a coffee on our cycle ride. We were made so welcome and the service was brilliant. As well as tasty orange and chocolate cake, we had some awesome flapjacks! There’s also a great shop attached with really interesting knickknacks. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Needed to find somewhere between Tunbridge Wells & Eastbourne to meet my dad, and it needed to be dog friendly. So glad decided to give it a go. Staff lovely, food & tea great! My puppy slept happily in his bag in the cafe. It was a little noisy when we first arrived but only as so popular there were two large groups of people there. Once they had left, much easier to hear & had a really nice vibe. Thank you to the staff, we will return.

Not been here since it was Wessons and it felt strange to walk through the Second Hand Emporium with its Bric-a-Brac and Clothing Stalls. I almost thought to go elsewhere but glad I didn't, My partner and I ordered A Sausage sarnie and a round of toast with 2 Teas. Gotta say Its The Best Sausage We have ever had, Locally sourced and award winning no less. My taste buds were jumping with joy, The Toast was nicely done too with lots of butter supplied and also a dainty pot of Jam. Superb and great service too. Yummy Tummy Grub.. Get In Your Belly if ever passing.

Just been for our second visit since Tpodz took over from the fabulous Wesson’s. Walked out for the second time. We put the poor service the first time around to be because of inexperienced staff etc and decided gave it another go today. This time, we stood for almost 10 minutes behind another couple. (They walked away before we did!) and during the entire time, not one member of staff so much as met our eyes. If anyone had said “we’re sorry you’re having to wait” or “ as soon as a table becomes available we’ll be right with you” or even a SMILE would have been fine. We were pointedly ignored until my husband stood in front of a waitress to speak to her directly. Young staff mostly, yes, but this is no excuse for poor customer service of this sort. As someone who ran a tea room for some time, I can say that this is completely unacceptable; this doesn’t even necessarily reflect a lack of training but demonstrates rudeness, pure and simple. I definitely won’t visit again (although the shop at the front is lovely) and will direct others to Lakeside (as I did for the other couple today). This cafe won’t be around for long I hope ...

The place is so Quaint and the food is delicious. I just wish servers would listen to what the customers say I had water with lime in it and I already had it mixed in the line was squeeze to perfection and the server came back by and I and he asked me if I wanted more water and I said yes, for halfway to the top of this ice.Keep gave me a full glass of water, or nearly. It would not be a big deal, but the fact is, I explicitly asked for him to fill it halfway again. These servers, these days, they're just giving you what they want to have, they're not understanding in our paying attention, but they want to get a great tip fortunate for them. We tip well my boyfriend and I. But I am really getting aggravated with this. So overall, the meal was fine. It's just at these people do not listen.

Really disappointed. Arrived at 4ish on a Tuesday in half term with our 15 and 11 year old to a completely empty pub, just one patron sat at the bar. Really lovely cosy large area next to the fire that was empty but immediately told by bar staff we couldn't sit there with children due to licensing rules! We were allowed to sit in the drafty back lobby by the gents loos - not so great. Weird atmosphere, we clearly weren't welcome, shame as we'd planned a few rounds and dinner but we headed back to our local accommodation instead. Looked like a really quaint pub just wish we'd realised it wasn't somewhere for families.

This is my favorite tea shop. I love the rose cake and the scones are my favorite. They are so delicious. I want to go there every day. I am happy every time I visit here with my husband and my dog. The atmosphere is comfortable and the cake is delicious. The taste of the tea is good.

We had a meal here on Saturday as they were advertising a new menu. I had the salmon and my husband had the stuffed pork chop. Both dishes were so so lovely. The flavours were so fresh and the portions were really good as well. My husband said he hasn’t had a pork joint like it before and was blown away. You won’t be disappointed with the food here and we are fussy. The staff are all so lovely and really attentive. We will def be back soon
