I went with a friend and her daughter. we had an amazing meal. started with garlic confit with roasted tomatoes which was Superb and wonderfully fresh. there was a vegetarian option. we had the Chicken, leek and ham pie which came with cabbage and brocoli. I love chicken pie, but this was one of the best of my life. we also had fresh fruit salad and shortbread. amazing value for just £9.50.

Food is basic but cheap, with very limited options. There is one woman working there who doesn't like dogs, so its pot luck whether you will feel welcome or not with your canine companion.

They have a limited menu (usually option of maybe two or three different things) but fab value. A Hidden gem.

A community venture providing freshly cooked food using local produce in an informal atmosphere. Three courses available with a vegetarian option. Six seat tables shared on a casual basis. Staffed by charming local volunteers. Be prepared to converse a little, or at least say “hello”! Medium portion sizes which are sufficient for lunch. Jugs of fresh water on the table but no hot drinks. Budget £10 for lunch (Jan 2020).

Considering it was almost £17 just for a vegetarian breakfast we were expecting a lot more than arrived. The food tasted nice, but given the cost it wasn't good value at all. I had a burger and the sweet potato fries were soggy. I think they need to adjust pricing somewhat.

Highly recommended. Two ladies offering a friendly welcome & delicious cream teas & sandwiches. And own car park too at ///tile.path.lend

After going there for over 10 years, we were told in no uncertain terms that the kitchen closed at 1.30. they wouldn't even make us a sandwich or offer a cup of tea. Shame on then, we wen't to a lovely little place opposite ASDA in the arcade had a gorgeous cheese and ham sandwich and a pot of tea........
