A really very high quality experience. The owners have ensured that everything needed is available, and that there is plenty of space for different groups to use different rooms. All rooms are ensuite, and extra loos on ground and first floor. After the restoration, the place has been wonderfully furnished. Breakfasts were provided and were lovely.

We were a party of over 20 and I would like to thank the lovely staff for their care and attention to our group. The food was good and was served hot, and the staff were helpful and friendly which goes a long way to making a special occasion a happy one. They seem to have taken a large group in their stride, there was no fuss, just great service - thank you!

We have visited The Grocery Chef a few times now and everytime the food has been excellent. Everthing is homemade. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Well behaved dogs are allowed but understandably they like them to have clean paws otherwise you are issued with a towel.

I emailed Carly as I had previously been at lunch time and had a Brie and Bacon Panini and wondered if I could have one early evening. She was very helpful and also booked me a table for 4 people at 6.30 pm on the Wednesday. We were greeted by some lovely welcoming staff. We ordered drinks and then mains which consisted of. BBQ ribs with fries, Halloumi with fries, Sausages mash vegetables with a jug of gravy, Panini and fries. Two of us had dessert which was waffles and Eton mess. The food was well presented and delicious. Highly Recommend and will definitely be returning.

Very nicely appointed hotel in former manor house, great Indian food (in integrated "Rasoi" restaurant; somewhat difficult to reach by public transport (nearest bus stop approx 10mins walk away, along busy road)

A 305 mile round trip from Cheshire to the Extraordinary Hare for a family birthday didn't disappoint at all. (Throughly recommend the Beef). Attentive staff, calming and cosy atmosphere. Just a note to serve the crumble a bit hotter and its 100% all the way. Well done.

Our curries were amazing. Among the best we've ever had. Tasty and well-presented & service was very good. Food and wine menus were fairly limited but that wasn't an issue as we were only visiting the area. I had a pint of Stella in the bar beforehand which wasn't great and there was some sort of business event going which was noisy & echoed around the restaurant as there were very few diners. Nevertheless would recommend and we'll definitely come back when we're next here.

Came for lunch. The Eyston Arms is a lovely country pub: welcoming, warm and vibrant. The menu is not very long but there was something for everyone, especially when you add in the "specials". Our starters - prawns - were nice but lacked a bit of flavour. Our mains of venison, however, were delicious: beautifully tender and packed full of flavour. Mrs D didn't want a dessert but I found room for sticky toffee pudding, which was very good. The waiting staff were lovely and very efficient. Service was good. Not the cheapest meal we have ever had but these days you get what you pay for, and ours was definitely worth it.

The home made ice cream here is second to none! they have loads of very tastey home made and baked treats supplied by local people. Not to mention all the amazing locally sourced fresh meat that is butchered right there on site. This is my idea of a great farm shop!! The best part is the butcher always has a fresh bone or two for my dog when he sees us coming!! So lucky to have such a good farm shop near by!!
