The first thing that stood out was the paper menu had food stains on it. I ordered a chicken tikka masala. This was not on the menu, but the chefs said they could make this. What I received was probably the house curry with a trace of coconut milk. The fresh taste of almond and coconut was not there, just a hint of coconut. The chicken was not fresh and I believe that it was not breast or thigh. I also had a Garlic naan, which clearly hadn't been introduced to garlic and the poppadoms were most likely shop bought. I could not eat the meal. My colleague had a disappointing experience with his meal too. There was no offer to change the food and when coming to pay, there was no discount offered at all.

Great surprise for a dinner of excellent food, creative, and with a rare balance of innovation and tradition. Service was excellent, timely, and helpful without being invasive in any moment. Really enjoyed. The ambience is quite peculiar, with lights having quite a strange tone. It might result a little tiring to the eyes after a while.

Given a dirty paper menu on arrival at the restaurant, I overlooked this and ordered anyway, butter chicken, garlic naan/popadoms and rice. The colour of the butter chicken was way too dark the chicken was also dark and the taste was certainly not butter chicken. Popadoms and garlic bread were also bad. Left disappointed and hungry!

The restaurant is contemporary in decor, the staff alex and Rose are very nice, the food is cheffy, the menu is unusual,it's not like a standard Indian restaurant. The vegetables are all super fresh and taste organic, the meats are tasty, the venue is rural and pleasant, the malbec wine is nice, the small poppadoms are nice,I've been twice and enjoyed it enough to spend time writing this revue. I usually get a lamb karachi ? I think. My wife gets a chicken tikka salad. E N J O Y ✨️😍

I had very bad experience from food. The food quality was very disappointing. Bread naan wasn’t fresh and didn’t worth of £4 for ready made Naan. Overall experience was worst and will not recommend for indian food. This is the worst food I’ve ever had. I have mentioned the picture of bread naan. I have just wasted £101 for worst food.

I ordered 2 curries rice and two naan. First of all the quantity of the curry was surprisingly low. The naan bread was cold and hard. I have ordered from them and they were quite good in the past and i am sorry to say not going to order from here again

Very nice welcome. Beautiful restaurant, very chic. The starters and three curries we ordered were absolutely outstanding! Service excellent.

Unfortunately this was a pretty terrible experience. We were the only people in there for the whole evening which was probably the first red flag. The starters were ok, but it did seem strange they they didn't think to take our order for mains at this time. We prompted the waitress to take our mains ordered when she brought over the starters. The mains were pretty terrible unfortunately. The meat in the lamb curry was dry and unpleasant. The paneer in the paneer curry was undercooked. The masala chips were sent to the table cold. They were quick in correcting this but they did just look like cheap bought chips tossed in a little chilli powder. Everything was red and a bit insipid. Considering the prices this was a very disappointing experience.

Beautiful inside, lovely food, although there isn't a massive choice on the menu the food was delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. It's just....the toilets are absolutely terrible. No room (staddle toilet to close door), broken buttons. Really need to sort them out. I didn't go in the men's but it completely put my partner off going back!

First the good bits; the food was delicious! Honestly, this was the best Indian food I've had since moving to Oxfordshire. The service was prompt and the delivery person was very kind and considerate. Now for the unfortunate bits: I'm giving this 3 stars because of the eye-watering amount I paid for 3 dishes(nearly £30) and the quantity served was enough for just one person! I truly find it hard to believe these prices are justified considering I don't live in London. I used to live in Berkshire before and I know for a fact food prices there are higher than out here, but for £30 I was always able to get hearty portions that lasted me 3 decent meals or at the very least 2 very good meals! You either need to revisit your pricing strategy or be a bit more generous with your portions otherwise, I am going to struggle maintaining my patronage with you.

I would give this restaurant minus stars, disgusting service. Food order via an app which they accepted and took payment for. When order didn't arrive and I phoned, I was told it wasn't their problem and they just hand the food over to the driver. The restaurant then hung up on me. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

Personally I think this is the best curry house in Didcot. We first knew of them when we ordered delivery. So we dined in on Saturday and brought with us our friend who was staying with us for the weekend. It’s pricey but quality of meat, flavour and the indian curry (as opposed to the Bangladeshi curry houses we often have) was delicious! Mini papadums is good for 1, for £4quid. One person per dish was £25 (curry+rice+Naan). We spent £113 with a bottle of wine between the 3 of us. We’d go back again!

This was our fourth attempt at dining at this restaurant. Despite the big sign outside saying it was open, it was closed when we came three previous occasions. The car park is dimly lit, with no marked bays, and there is no indication of where you should park. There are plant pots along one edge which you cannot see in the dark, so can easily scratch your car. The restaurant is nicely laid out but looks like a function room, waiting for the tables to be removed for the next function. On the table setting the knives faced outwards, which I had never seen in a restaurant before, but the tables looked nice. I ordered a Diet Coke, which arrived lukewarm with a single small ice cube in it and no lemon. It tasted like Coke Zero, much sweeter than Diet Coke. We started with the mini pappadums, which were not totally unlike pappadums - small and crispy. They came with some sweet sauces but no achar. The chicken tikka croquettes were bright red but not very spicy, accompanied by a perfectly acceptable mango sauce. These were followed by a plate of 5 garlic prawns, which were pleasantly garlicky. The main course was a bright red 'Old Delhi Butter Chicken' it was totally unlike any butter chicken I had ever seen. The sauce was very 'tomatoey' and bland. The chicken had a strange mushy, pasty quality - almost like it had been reconstituted or at least frozen and cooked for a long time. My wife had the kitchen curry, which was also bright red and bland. The nan was different from a normal nan - thicker and more bread-like. It was not what we were expecting. We often travel to India, and this was quite unlike any Indian food we have ever had before. Overall I would rate the experience as 'confusing'.

We called in here as I’d never been and thought we’d try it out. We ordered two cheese scones with butter and two coffees and sat in the garden. Our very small scones arrived before the coffees, We thought as we buttered our not very cheesy cheese scones that the butter had a strange texture, the coffees were very small and not that hot. As we sat chattering I noticed on the butter wrapper, ‘use by 6/6/23’ The date of our visit being Monday 19th June!! My friend caught the attention of the waitress and told her we’d just eaten two weeks out of date butter, she just said ‘Oh sorry, I’ll tell the kitchen’ We sat for another 15 minutes half expecting maybe a further apology from the kitchen but nobody came near us, so we left having spent £12.30 on two small un-cheesy scones, stale butter and two small warm coffees. Obviously there won’t be a return visit.
