Been closed for forever and the website has been hacked. Have reported to Google but they ignore.

Looks an amazing hotel BUT its shut down

Booked a table on their website for 7.30pm and received a confirmation email. We arrived at 6.45 for a drink before dinner only to find a deserted ghost pub, no lights, doors locked!! Went home hungry!! Please turn off your booking system if you're not honouring bookings.

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen in the UK! I booked a room for one night, but when I arrived, the hotel was closed, no one was there, and no one answered the phone. If so, why can I still book a room on the website? ? ? And I successfully paid 128 pounds? ? ? I spent about 2 hours looking for a new hotel and I didn't want to have nowhere to go at night. Fortunately, there was a kind taxi driver who accompanied me to find a hotel, otherwise I would have ended up on the street at night! ! ! This is a terrible hotel with terrible service! ! !

Booked for 3 nights, arrived to check in at 5.30pm and the hotel was locked up! Not a soul in sight. Have had to find emergency digs elsewhere at my own expense.

DO NOT STAY HERE - my partner and I, stayed here for a wedding. My wife is on a form of medication and needs a fridge, we checked with the hotel and it was all okay. As we came back from the wedding we had the medication and needed to put it in the fridge, there was no one at the desk. So we called the number and spoke to a man he was very rude on the phone. We explained the situation, we said we can’t stay if we can’t store the meds. He hung up and all of a sudden he came through the door he was very aggressive and snatched the medication out of my wife’s hands and starting swearing, threatening us and overall being aggressive. As we are two women alone there was no one around we was scared. He even said I don’t care about your medication! Really screaming at us. I understand we woke him up but we checked it was all okay beforehand. And I’m sure hotels need fridges for medication for their guests. There was no need to be so aggressive towards two women like that.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone on the basis that I found it Unwelcoming to start with, straight from check-in, and staff were a bit rude. the room was ok, bit tatty, walls were paper thin, I could hear every word the guy next door said to his wife on the phone. A colleague of mine and I tried to have a drink in the bar, halfway through our first drink we were asked to move from one bar to another, then just after we ordered our second drink, we were asked to leave the bar as it was closing… at 10pm, they could have mentioned this before they took our drinks order...! I wasn’t impressed and let the “Duty Manager?” know. Sleep was the worst, the mattress had seen better days, all the windows need replacing as they don’t shut tight and therefore have no soundproofing qualities at all, I may as well have slept on the A34 as it sounded like it was in my room. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t like the look of it, so I ate out, A colleague had the breakfast, and she told me it was swimming in grease, I did see some people with the full English and decided to go with coffee & toast…

Nice building, clean and well furnished, nice staff, good reasonably priced food.
