Tesco Cafe in Vale of White Horse

I just went to Tesco and did some shopping then sat in the cafe with my kids. I bought babyccinos for my kids. Then the girl working there came and said I couldn't sit there. She said I had to get something to drink or eat if I wanted to sit. I go to this cafe all the time. But this was the first time I've been treated so rudely.

Best basic English breakfast I've had in long time found the latte coffee was excellent. service was excellent nice friendly. very clean place and a staff I came across were very good and helpful . Thank you tesco and especially all cafe staff

Don't listen. Gave me no extra bacon instead of egg. Also spilt my drink 😅. Had to edit the food itself was also terrible..

They Serve your hot drink as you order so it is very cold by the time your food arrives to your table also they need to be taught to make scrambled egg as mine was simply a omelet made in a fry pan and then just broken up to look like scrambled egg disgusting.

Breakfast is passable if not a little bland, but staff are friendly. Been here twice un a month as the old man was getting his cataracts done at the eye clinic next door and both times my biggest problem with the place is that it's been freezing inside. There's a bloke opposite me and I can see his breath when he talks to his wife and everyone in here has coats and scarves on. It's minus bloody 6 outside, put the heaters on would you? Ta x

23 Dec visited the café , crazy busy of course and as always the staff were excellent , fast, efficient ,warm and welcoming ! Thank you for being consistently excellent at every step from taking orders to food delivery and table clearing ! All that and pretty good value for money too .Happy New Year!

I have ate here a few times the food is good value with friendly staff food is served quick and always hot .A good standard of food for the price.

I did ask for no beans and egg to be scrambled which I have beans and a fried egg. But other than that foods hot and quick delivery

I have been coming here for a while now with my baby. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The food is tasty and the service is great despite being a very busy place.

Coffee was spilt all over bottom of drivers bag was more than half empty and soaked into sandwich.Had not been carried or stored with care

Awful food! Very cheap produce, I genuinely felt sick eating it! The taste was very oily and rank, with the after taste extremely sickening!!! I'll never eat there again! AVOID!!

Fantastic fast service with great price and very affordable. Always add extras on as portions could be slightly bigger but I guess I am a little greedy. Overall love it here.

Lovely food, at good value, service quick despite being busy

Not actually part of Tesco but located in the store this cafe is a great little asset. A decent food menu with cakes and bakes and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Large seating area with pleasant aesthetics makes for a decent atmosphere for a supermarket cafe. Free Wi-Fi available same network as in store, PowerPoints available if you need to do some work on a laptop too. Staff are welcoming and friendly, the cafe was clean and well maintained on my visit. Don’t forget to use your club card as you can collect points on all purchases. Based on this experience I would be happy to recommend.

Fantastic friendly staff. Great fish & Chunky Chips with Mushy Peas meal. Plus a Pot of Tea. Beware! The chips were excessively hot!

Extraordinarily slow service. Inedible bacon roll,barely any bacon, under cooked, swimming in grease. Could not bring myself to eat it. Vile

Great little café serving some of Tesco's finest food and drinks at very reasonable prices, with great service and speed. Go here often for a meal or just a coffee and this place never disappoints! Would recommend 🙌🏻

Outraged at our 1st Tesco Cafe experience here this morning. For the 1st time we decided to have a drink before our main shop. After a long while waiting in the queue as there was only one person taking orders, and he was also serving drinks, we finally were able to order our advertised melting santa hot chocolates.... only to be told they have no melting santa's but could replace these with sprinkles and cream to which we agreed. After paying i realised that we were charged over £2 more for the drink as advertised on the menu board.... the server had charged us extra for the cream and sprinkles and not offered them as a replacement as he said he would. On advising on this, he said he could only refund the whole order, so went to get the supervisor to do this... once refunded and supervisor asked if we would like to re-order, yes we'll have just 2 x normal hot chocolates... only to be advised they had no hot chocolate at all!! So to recap - we ordered 2 x hot chocolates with melting santas. Was told they had no melting santas, but could replace with cream and sprinkles. Paid. Yet they didn't have any hot chocolate at all - plain or otherwise! When i said i would like to make a complaint the supervisor said she was the only one in, so i said i will complain in the store - to which she said the store is nothing to do with the cafe. This turned out to be a lie, as i went to the customer service desk in the store and they advised otherwise. Plus looking at my bank statement the same description Tesco Stores 2008 Abingdon GB is for transactions in the cafe and in the store. Completely outraged!

I have travelled to 6 countries this year. Thailand, Vietnam, Dubai, England (London twice , Oxford, Birmingham) Scotland and France and I have never had a worse coffee than the one I have just partially drunk in Tesco's Abingdon Extra Cafe. How do you spell EYUCH.

The abingdon tesco cafe breakfast is fantastic

They did not have any diet coke. No dressing on the salad. Dirty tea cup. No salad cream.

Got my order wrong 3 times and really bad service.

Sticky tables, coffee stains, crockery and cutlery is questionable with regard to being actually clean. Let alone polished. Staff seem uninterested and avoid even the most basic of courtesies. The latte I had was lukewarm at best and after 35 mins waiting for a fried breakfast for just myself I had lost hope for the quality of the food itself. With 22 people sat when i arrived it wasn't exactly busy either. When I was finally acknowledged by a member of staff she then went to find out what was going on with my food. I was offered a free drink immediately and the told my food would be 5 minutes. I did not want another drink. And at this point the staff attitude to me had changed as they could see this wasn't a great situation for all parties to be in. After 50 minutes waiting for my food I had to leave so I was given a full refund for the breakfast I couldn't eat, I was treated fairly and professionally at this point but it's a real shame we got to this point. Clean tables, crockery and cutlery with staff a little more attentive and focused to good customer satisfaction would really go long way to improving this cafe. Ofcourse a kitchen getting the food out in a timely manner also helps.

Hot food with very little waiting time, lovely, helpful staff - when I asked for my table to be wiped, he came straight away to help. Good variety of food and reasonably priced.

Possibly the worst Tesco Café. Not only does everything echo meaning you can't hear yourself think, but the service is less than cordial. What with the one member of staff "bouncing dirty crockery" and the overall dirty appearance this was less than a good experience.

I go there for lunch, I only get 1/2 hour, so it's good that the service is normally excellent.

Average food friendly staff, reasonable coffe, what you expect for the price

I'm in your cafe here. The lady before us found a mouldy scone, my hubby picked a pre packed pannini up to find a fly Inside the packaging. It put him off eating. My dad and me ordered fish and chips.... Waiting. In the meantime I asked for the table to be cleaned, and it's a good job I held his cake high and away from the table as I coukd see that she was about to SPRAY THE TABLE!!!!!! Spray the cloth not the table health & hygiene!! Anyway yo top it off the counter staff were Clueless as to what lactose free milk was. Training please🙄 She did spray the table.... Too late. Fish and chips arrived... Peas to follow 😒 Finished meal... No peas arrived at all.

Been before on several occasions and was always happy with the quality of the breakfasts. However on this visit the food was appalling and obviously ingredients used were the bog standard cheap versions. Wont bother coming back

Ideal for a quick meal with the family after or before shopping. Simple but good food.

Strange suspended wooden beams of no structural use. Very nice sponge cake.

Food was disappointing, but coffee and tea were better value for money. Staffs were nice, but tables need to be cleared more often. Good facilities of spacious toilets.

Really nice cafe, staff were polite, some issues with card machine but food was good. Much better than expected and a good stop for breakfast.

How can you get the bacon so undercooked and hash browns incinerated like this on the same plate? Oh, and they got my order wrong twice. I wouldn't eat here again.

Absolutely appalling. Don't bother. Practically raw bacon, rock hard sausages after being sat under a heat lamp and fried bread you could kill someone with!

Expensive for basic, gas station food. Really disappointing
