Booked to come in for a bite to eat on Easter Sunday to be greeted by the Easter bunny! My son was invited to do the egg hunt with everyone and he really enjoyed it. Thank you to who ever played the bunny because you made my sons day. As always the food was lovely and the service was great!

Have recently moved to the area and we are so pleased to have the white horse as our local. Staff always pleasant and welcoming. Great garden with a tv and plenty of space for our kids to burn off some energy! We were also able to feed our family of 4 with drinks included for under £50, that’s amazing value!

Bad service. Won't be going back

Another lovely visit today. This time in the garden. We were lucky to get the last table as it was so busy. We had a lovely afternoon with the children and ended up staying later than we had planned. Lovely staff and super place to be.

A local pub with standard GK fare - decent, not exotic, but really super staff who made us very welcome and an enjoyable spot for Sunday lunch.

We came in for a family lunch today as we were in the area. The pub was beautifully presented both inside and in the garden too. The staff were super welcoming and we had a very tasty lunch. We can't wait to come back again soon

My friends and I decided to pop in for some food (which turned into food and drinks) We had a varied mixture of both while here which were all superb (especially the burgers!) and the service was nothing but impeccable! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we felt very looked after and comfortable. We were infact all made to feel so welcome by the staff and enjoyed our visit so much that we've agreed to regularly make the trip back to Abingdon just to visit this place! Thank you so much again!

Came in for a Sunday lunch, got a table in the garden and used the app to order some drinks. The Sunday lunches were lovely and large in size for the price! Always love coming here as the staff are so friendly and chat to everyone.

Nice Green King pub. IPA was on top form and attentive bar staff. Meal was well presented and was good.

Good food, service was as expected. Free parking available for 10-15 cars. All ground level, wheelchair accessible with maybe the door threshold and a couple of steps to contend with depending on where you want to sit. Dog friendly.

Came in and had a roast dinner today with my son my son being just 3 and a terrier the staff were so attentive with my boy and got him some bits to keep him occupied. The roast was delicious and my son ate all his Mac and cheese too, so I’ll definitely be back again.

We have visited this pub in the past and it’s always been spot on. Unfortunately recently we came for an evening meal and felt really disappointed. We were seated in the restaurant area and it was absolutely freezing! The heating was not on and none of the fires were lit where on previous visits in the past they have been in this bitter weather. We sat there in our coats our entire visit. There was also no atmosphere, no background music, nothing! Just pure silence, felt like we were sat in a library. The food was ok and the staff were nice. We had planned to stay there for our whole night but cut our visit short as we were just too cold, shame really as I don’t think we will be jumping to come again any time soon.

Just been with my family for my mother's birthday 🎂. Food was fast and fantastic. No complaints whatsoever. The staff were friendly and helpful. We brought a cake with us and the staff lit the candles and even sung happy birthday with us. We took the dog and he was made welcome too. Thanks 👍👍

First visit today. Booked for a family birthday meal and the food was not only delicious but excellent value too. Staff were really attentive and made us feel really welcome. We had such a lovely afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed our time with you all.

Came for the 6 Nations, great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. We have booked here for all the weekend games as we love it, cosy and warm with quirky staff who always look after us.

We had such a wonderful time here for our Christmas Day dinner. Thank you so much to all the staff who worked so hard to make it great. It was our first time going out on Christmas Day and I can safely say we'll definitely do it again! The food was absolutely delicious, and it flowed at nicely timed intervals so we didn't feel rushed nor did it feel like the gaps were too long. The staff were great with my two little girls who were a bit excited at the day!

Great Sunday roast with the family today! Can’t thank everyone enough

We had a lovely pre-christmas get together today, 18 of us for the set menu. The food was lovely, the pub is beautifully decorated for Christmas and the girls who looked after us were delightful, nothing was too much trouble and we left feel very much in the Christmas spirit.

My first time at any pub in the UK. Very comfortable spot. Service was great and beer was better!

Tonight the staff were having a cook off, the manager doreen ask few of the customers if they would like to try the festive menu. Myself and a few others tried it and wow i enjoyed the food exstreamly. I tried pulled turkey and brie beef burger, chicken strips (topped with bbq sauce, pigs in blankets, melted brie and cranberry sauce and many more wonderful atmosphere friendly staff. Thank you

We visited Friday and Saturday night as we were staying nearby at the Hilton. Service was great and very welcoming, food was fresh and hot. Insanely good value for food and drinks. We wish we lived closer as we would certainly be regularly!

Came in on Thursday for a spot of lunch with friends as every time I’ve been it’s been great and this time was no different! The girl on the bar was lovely and nothing was too much! Thank you Katie for looking after us!

For a wandering truck driver who diet mostly consists of junk this place was a gem to find. Lovely food and lovely staff, really a rather pleasant experience.

That said, staff were sufficiently aware to make the offer and it was a football night. Given I was meeting family for a catch up, I should have given it more thought. Food was in good proportions, tasty and well presented. Paired with an attentive and prompt service, I would not hesitate to go again though perhaps, not on a Saturday evening when the football is showing.

Nice lunch again today. So good to have the seniors menu as it is just enough and good value for money.I had the fish and my husband had the hunters chicken, both cooked very nicely and it was lovely to see the staff as we have been away and the girl who served us remembered we were going and asked how our holiday was, lovely that she asked.

The food is reasonably priced pub grub. But it's more about the service and atmosphere here, which is wonderful. Very friendly, helpful staff and friendly clientele. We came during the day mid week, and it was a delight.

Beer was adequate, decor fine in a souless, clean chain pub sort of way. Staff brusque and inhospitable. I wouldn't bother - so many better pubs in Abingdon.

Great katsu curry good atmosphere friendly locals and lovely bar staff kaileigh was knowledgeable and made you feel welcome. Will be coming back for sure.

Ordered a mixed platter and a cocktail. Mixed platter came in 5 mins however they took 25 mins to send the cocktail. After eating ordered a dessert 40 mins later no sign. Got my money back and left.

Our 'go to' now with the grandchildren as we can sit in the garden with them and Grandad gets to watch the sports outside and me and the children can play board games so we are all happy. The childrens menu caters for all four of our different eaters so a firm favourite with them.

Good food good service and a reasonable price, lost a star due to a few things we wanted being out of stock.

Booked a corner of the pub yesterday for a small leaving meal with colleagues (14 people) as I was leaving my job. Katie was fantastic from the very start. I liaised with her a couple of times before the day and always found her friendly, professional and helpful. I left a list of people's names attending and asked her to offer said people, as they came in, a drink on me. The team were brilliant. Everyone got their drink and my final bill was very reasonable. Thank you. Almost all of us had dinner. Everybody enjoyed the food and many had dessert. All the staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the pub, good. Would highly recommend having a meal here with friends or a drink or two.

Staying locally for the fourth year running and made a point of doing here this evening for my husband's birthday. Very disappointed this time! Steaks were tough going and the medium/well done steak was bright red. No desserts. Don't think we'll bother again.

Came here about a couple of months ago with my friends and it was delightful, but I came on my own and my food was delicious cooked amazingly , staff so friendly and smiles. Definitely need to come here more. Outstanding it really was loved it, I was out side garden tidy it's truly a great place so thank you.

Came here for a lunch with my partner we went for the tex mex sharer and the salt n pepper chilli chicken and it was amazing! The pub was cosy and the staff were so nice and helpful! Especially Katie behind the bar.

Ended up with lovely scampi got to the bottom to find a ( curly Pubic hair sitting on the scampi) to then get no apology from bar staff the manager who runs it is rude doesn’t even speak to customers just lets her hairy mutts roam the pub pooing in there garden

We stopped off on route back from our holidays. It was a sunny afternoon and I immediately thought how unusual it was that it was so quiet. Within 10 minutes I understood why. We waited 15 minutes to be served at a practically empty bar. There were no clean wine glasses so my wine was served in a gin glass ( that was filthy) And whilst we sat we saw a group arrive, sit down and the table leg fall off their table. Enter the toilets at your own risk, the men’s urinals include one that is smashed, with black gaffer tape across, one toilet with no seat, and not a sheet of toilet roll in sight. I could say so much more…the dead plants in the windows tell you everything you need to know about a lack of care. Sadly we changed our minds about eating. We admired the building and what a shame it is that it doesn’t match anything else

Some of the French Frys had black ends the parsley was wilted would have been better not to have put it on the plate did not see any senior's meals either.

Well, we all know that breweries have glasses that best suit their pints. Apparently this pub never got the memo. Watching Euro's, pub requested booking tables for watching, yet few bar staff to match the anticipated crowd. Picture shows my Fosters in a Guiness glass, no etching on the base of the glass to continue the head. God help them if they put a Guinness in a Foster's glass. Seriously not impressed. Thankfully they haven't affected the football crowd.

Went to watch the Denmark vs England football game, Was welcomed in by the server named Alice. Service was quick. After the match I had a chicken burger which I enjoyed very much.

Visited this pub during an over night stay at the local Premier Inn for a wedding. It is a Greene King Pub so you hope you know what you are going to get. We were not disappointed. There was football showing and although the fans were noisy they were friendly. We ordered food which was delivered quickly, well cooked and hot. I was especially impressed when a bar maid came round with some keys that had been found, trying to locate the owners. Overall I have really enjoyed my evening in this pub and would definitely recommend and visit again if I am ever up here again

Service was shocking, wrong drinks, wrong food. No idea of customer service. Language was poor. Meals at different times. Bits of meals replaced with chips because they didn't have all ingredients. The staff need training, but more so there appeared to be no supervision or manager around

the restaurant was lovely, welcoming and the kitchen absolutely nailed our food. Was so flavourful and good value for money. Would return.

Went for a belated mother's day treat. We were sat under a TV showing the football. I hate football at the best of times so asked to move to another table. The unhappy looking waitress let us choose another table. (2pm It wasn't busy in the restaurant part so we could choose another table). One daughters roast didn't look like the menu picture, other daughters cheese was missing for her chicken burger and my burgers were burnt. Daughter requested a luxury hot chocolate. When we enquired where the marshmallows and chocolate flake were we were told they didn't have any. If they had informed us when ordering we wouldn't have had to return it for a refund. Very disappointing.

Not really happy to be honest, every time we have booked asked for a table near the door as we have someone in a wheelchair, never can find the booking, food is poor as is the reception, will not be going back again.

We sampled the small plates, and they were amazing. Special mention to the squid, which, for this far inland, was incredible - not even remotely rubbery like some places struggle with - and the mango and lime tacos. Would definitely come again

Works Christmas lunch. Only booked and ordered last week. A couple of tweaks to steak sauces needed but was fine with the people who had ordered it. Food cooked to everyone's liking and and a enjoyed. All staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Would definatly return.

Best Greene king pub I visited as the food is always served quick, well presented and tasty. Great offers and selection to choose from. Been coming here for years, tried other similar Greene king pubs but this has always been the best. Well done to the hard-working staff who are polite and friendly.

Nice place with a wonderful view

I've been to this pub a few times. It is good and the staff are nice. The only reason for 4 stars is because one time when sat outside, the garden area was completely swarmed with these white flies, which weren't anywhere else. This made sitting outside not very pleasant. Not sure if anything could have been done, but sharing my experience.

Great pub, part of Greene King group. Like the whole look of the place, but main thing is that the food was delicious. We had Katsu chicken and gammon. Price was very reasonable.

Good old traditional pub and popular with locals. I enjoyed my meal but the wife wasn't with her sirloin steak which was very grisly.

Lovely roast dinner today. Was fresh and hot and with lots of gravy, downside was we were all to full up for dessert, staff were lovely even though it was busy in the bar section they were still attentive without being intrusive.

Came here for a pint, stayed for the tacos and the friendly staff. Came 2 days in a row... probably 3 tomorrow

Lovely relaxed place to take the kids, plenty of choice on the menu to cater for all. Kids were loving the diy tacos. The Mr was loving the rugby

Great dinner, plenty of vegan options. Friendly and helpful staff, we come here often for dinner when at college, very reasonably priced too. 10/10
