A nice little riverside Cafe with tables inside and out. Food offerings are diverse and all very reasonably priced. I had a lovely cream tea, and friends had sandwiches; we all enjoyed our meals, and it was a nice sunny day to sit by the river and watch the ducks. If you don't like geese near you, don't throw any scraps, because of course, they'll just want more! Oops, that was my fault!

Beautiful, stunning location on the river Thames. Staff are brilliant, lovely people, and professional at the same time. The foods lovely, the chef is fab. Prompt service. They also as a bonus, are absolutely with dogs. They have a treat her to help yourselves when you order. I've been coming here over the years now and then with my dogs. Now I have moved here so can visit anytime. Though as prices have risen due to the current crises if there really is one, I won't be able to treat myself and my dogs too often but can't wait to visit again whenever we can. I've not explored anywhere other than that I have always parked on the other side of the bridge. It's free for the first hour from 9ish. So a walk with the dogs up the river before brekkie over at Annie's 👍

Overpriced coffee in plastic cup. On Mon & Thursday discount 15% for pensioners brings it down to normal cafe prices so not really a discount and a rip off for everyone else. Ordered 4 coffees and then asked for the age discount but was told that we should have asked for the discount before we ordered. As it had already been entered into the till , though not paid for, it could not be changed!! Totally refused to apply it. Should have said forget it and gone elsewhere but my 90 year old parents were in need of refreshment. Will not repeat a visit here as customer service was very poor and will not recommend. The vast profit is certainly not spent on the building and the view is free!

Shockingly bad. Service was awful. We got there and stood at the counter whilst the ignorant teenage girls stood chatting to each other. Rude. Then the food arrived. The bacon and sausage were not cooked. The bacon was just fat eith a tiny slither of meat on it. The toast was cold and stale. The menu said it came with mushrooms but it just came with one small mushroom. And one tomato cut in half. For £14.50 I am absolutley appalled. The chef should be fired and sent home. You'd get a better breakfast in Wetherspoons with better service.

Without doubt the worst breakfast and worst service I have ever reviewed. We arrived and the teenage girls at the counter just stood there chatting and ignoring us. The bacon and sausage wasn't cooked. The toast was cold and stale like it had been toasted 2 days ago. It said 'mushrooms' on the menu but all that was on the plate was one sad mushroom. Absolutely disgraceful for £14.50. Get a better breakfast in Wetherspoons for a fraction of the price and with better service.

A lovely spot and I have visited quite often but I have decided not to give it my custom any more because of the low standard of service. I think we should expect to drink tea from cups and saucers with a proper teapot instead of the cardboard cups which Annie's is now using. I was in another tearoom recently which served tea in the traditional way with cups and saucers and teapots together with a refill pot of hot water. It was a different experience.

Beautiful place to sit on a nice day and enjoy the river. Here are some pictures of my view today. Quite a steep hill down to the cafe for wheelchairs and mobility scooters but do able. Go around the back of the cafe for access to the tables and cafe entrance at the front. Disabled toilet available. Not sure how easy it would be to get in and out as entrance looked tight. But didnt have my wheel chair with me. One step entrance into cafe i assume they have a ramp as not gone inside with wheel chair. Parking either in town or just over bridge. Private parking only with barrier and button entrance so dont try parking in there

This cafe is situated in the perfect place to while away an hour people watching. Sadly, it has no ambiance, grubby tables with used plates etc and a ridiculous rule not allowing china cups and plates for tea and cake outside. Paper cups and boxes for cake with those horrible wooden forks and no serviette. And yet……there were plates on the tables that had been used and a lady came out with a china plate with food on covered with cling film. When I questioned the young lady serving she was a bit bulshy and said there’s a notice on the till stand. Unfortunately it was covered with a tray so I didn’t see it. She didn’t draw my attention to the sign or mention the paper cups etc. I paid £15 for tea and cake which I was ok with if it had been served in a way that warranted that price. Great cake and lovely tea totally spoilt by ‘cardboard’ crockery and a bulshy attitude. Won’t be returning.

The most gorgeous setting and lovely building but was really very disappointed yesterday by our lunch. We bought a sandwich to take away whilst we had a quick walk over lunch which was £9! It was made using we presume pre made filling and supermarket bread that we have at home and took the best part of 15 mins to make despite being quiet and lots of staff. Like to support local businesses wherever we can but I felt like this really was day light robbery and unaffordable for alot of people or families.

Sat outside, right next to the river, plenty of sunshades - beautiful. Lovely coffee, cakes and light lunches. Arrived on a sunny Sunday lunchtime and hoped to get a sandwich. Staff were welcoming and allowed us to access disabled parking. Dogs were welcome, all good so far! It was busy but not to capacity and they should expect that on a Sunday, however, they seemed totally unprepared. Tables left uncleared (for the entirety of our visit). VERY slow service, we gave up the idea of a sandwich when we were told it would take 40mins; I was tempted to suggest making it myself. Free tap water - great idea except that the dispenser was empty. Waiting staff seemed illegally young and somewhat overwhelmed (the lady on a neighbouring table got her lunch on her lap). Limited and expensive menu to boot. Such a lovely location, such a great opportunity for a great cafe, what a shame it’s so shabby.

Coffee by now Luke warm. A slight improvement maybe or maybe not from last time when they forgot our order for drinks. I attended Annies on Saturday evening for private dine naked event. What an amazing event it deserves 11 out of 10! The food was full of flavour, the staff were really helpful, it's a great place 4 a slice of cake and a cup of coffee after a walk along the River

Fabulous location by the river, plenty of seating inside and out and the best sausage ("boater") sandwich in Abingdon!

Lovely setting by the river, watching the boats. We enjoyed sitting out and watching the water world go by.

Perfect setting for a cafe with lovely views over the Thames, this dog friendly cafe really should be the place to go in town. Sadly, it falls down on two critical aspects - price and service.

This is a grea4 venue but sadly poorly executed. Coffee came after 15mins then bacon sandwich after another 20 mins. No ketchup around and not served with either serviette or knife. Would have been better to have bought a (cheaper) coffee from well known chain 1 minute away and sit on opposite bank of river and drink it...

Two bacon sandwiches, 2 hot drinks, coffee, cold drink and round of toast over £22. Told 20 minute wait tea & coffee finished as was toast as we waited 45+ minutes for bacon sandwiches then had minimal bacon inside the two slices of bread with nothing else. Managed to get just about sufficient tomato sauce out of the only 2 bottles in the establishment. Cutlery servlets etc are all help yourself but not obvious when ordering. It was nearly impossible to sit outside even before the food arrived because of the wasps which I accept the cafe had little control over. Wish we'd gone into the town but the view of the river was the attraction.

We had a bacon sandwich and a coffee. Very expensive at nearly £17 for two and the sandwich was quite poor. A thin piece of bread with a scrape of butter and two slices of bacon,

My 1st review was not totally complementary. I revisited yesterday and was so glad that I did. The staff were lovely. The sandwiches were fab, incredibly generous with the fillings which was a joy and served with a lovely little side salad. The milk shakes were to die for, made with organic Devon ice cream The iced coffee was fab to. Their selection of teas is impressive. Yes this place is a gem with a lovely riverside location.

Lovely cafe on river and visited several times. A previous lunchtime visit my friend got a refund on a hard baked potato which he had waited quite a while for. My solo visit on my lunch break ordered soup, which I'd had before and always thick and tasty. It wasn't busy even though it was hot outside. I ordered soup and sat and waited. Outside for 10 min before going in querying the long wait. Staff looked puzzled (I'm sure if I hadn't went in I would never have got it). Again, another 10 mins passed (I was on an hour lunch break) so got up to be met on way with my soup. I should have took straight back as was so watery (£5.45) and wasn't even that hot. Have no idea what's going on but the staff need a good shake up!

Great hotel located in the centre of Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Hotel booking was a last minute thing and glad we did. We arrived at the hotel and the management gave us a room upgrade to a suite 🎉🥳 The room was comfortable with all the modern amenities and a large bed. Gutted I didn't take pictures. There's ample parking in the hotel carpark or outside the hotel. Located on the main high street and close to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. The breakfast was included in the price and was served in the restaurant next door. Service and food was 5 stars. We hung around after check out and the bar area is well stocked and great staff working there. A friend's car broke down and we needed jump leads and thankfully a member of staff at the hotel lent us his pair and we were able to get back on the road. There's a lovely courtyard area that is in the middle of the hotel.

We stopped here for lunch on our way home from holiday. Service was friendly. We both had the chicken, ham and leek pie with veg and chips. The pie and chips were very nice but the veg was under-cooked, the beans in particular being virtually raw. We were, however, immediately given a reduction on the cost of the meals because of that and it wouldn't put us off visiting again.

We had a very enjoyable birthday lunch here. However, it seems unsure whether it is a restaurant or a gastropub. Food quality and presentation were up to the standard of a high quality restaurant. So were the prices! The staff were very professsional (and we noticed that they close once a week for staff training). However, it still looks and feels like a pub, with a bar, wooden seating, no tablecloths, casually dressed staff, and they neded one or two more staff both in the kitchen and serving. They should either put in place the finishing touches for it to be a fine restaurant, or dial down a bit, particularly on prices, and present it as a really good gastropub.
