A really very high quality experience. The owners have ensured that everything needed is available, and that there is plenty of space for different groups to use different rooms. All rooms are ensuite, and extra loos on ground and first floor. After the restoration, the place has been wonderfully furnished. Breakfasts were provided and were lovely.

My wedding party stayed at Barton House the night before and the night of mine and my husband's wedding and it was truly wonderful. The house is beautiful (and enormous) and each room is decorated to perfection. As the bride, I stayed in the largest room, which has a beautiful antique bed and standalone bathtub, as well as breathtaking views of the house's grounds (which are immaculately manicured). We have some beautiful photos of the morning of the wedding, with Barton House and its grounds as the perfect backdrop. Also, I must mention the food - the cooked breakfast was incredible, and so bounteous. We really were totally spoilt. Thank you Barton House for the most memorable stay. Our family and friends were blown away by the house and the service, as were we.

Barton House has lots of beautiful rooms for large groups to stay in. It is obviously quite popular with guests of weddings at Lains Barn and the two places share staff. The gardens are beautiful and had plenty of room for a group of 16 or more people to sit outside comfortably. The grounds are so pretty that the newlyweds came back for pictures on the big day! The staff serving meals were helpful and courteous. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent!

Having stayed at Barton House the night before my wedding with my grooms party, I couldn't recommend the house highly enough. From the moment we met Martin and Rachel at our catering meeting we fell in love with everything Barton House has to offer. The most stunning house, set amongst the most beautiful manicured grounds. Me and my wife have already discussed finding another reason to celebrate, just so we can return. To everyone at Barton, thank you so much for allowing us to create memeories we will never forget.

I had a lovely weekend here. The house is grand but comfortable, with a real boutique feel. The setting is beautiful, ideal for walks and runs. The hosts were attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommended and we took the whole house which was great.

Receptionist on the phone is not very nice at all, sort it out. I don't appreciate being hung up on when I'm in the middle of talking, disgusting.

Attended a wake at this pub and was charged £10 for a large glass of wine. This is extortionate!! Returned to our pub where we were staying and were charged £7! I truly believe the prices were increased for the wake. I told some locals who thought this was disgusting and they would not be frequenting this pub very often! We will not be returning.

We visited this pub after a long break, and we were nicely welcomed by the new owner, Pete. The food was amazing and very tasty. We got beef burger and fish and chips. The food was delicious and mouth-watering. Dog friendly place, too, and approved by our pup! Definitely, we will be back. Thank you. PS. Wishing new owners all the best and see you soon.

I had a ham salad sandwich. The ham content was one piece of the thinnest wafer thin ham ever, it was completely tasteless. The salad was old cut up iceberg, tomatoes slice. One slice of cucumber. The salad on the side was pitifully small and only about 5 crisps. Terrible value for money. The cold Coke drink had no ice. My daughter was given the end crust of bread in her bacon toastie . Same tiny quantity of salad leaves and 5 crisps. We went because they do gluten free bread. I wish I had made my own picnic and eaten it in the car!
