The home made ice cream here is second to none! they have loads of very tastey home made and baked treats supplied by local people. Not to mention all the amazing locally sourced fresh meat that is butchered right there on site. This is my idea of a great farm shop!! The best part is the butcher always has a fresh bone or two for my dog when he sees us coming!! So lucky to have such a good farm shop near by!!

I moved into a nearby village and found this gem. It's full of delicious food and makes my life so easy as you can park outside and dash in. All the bits are good but I especially like the steak, sausages fruit and veg and the ice cream. Very friendly service too.

This shop is worth a stopover. The staff are always willing to assist with a smile, the produce inside is always fresh and Thier ice cream is well worth the taste. They even have fruit juices fresh from the farm, and honey and a lot of produce freshly picked from the farm.Overall, this shop has it all,and as said before,is well worth a visit.

Will not be shopping here again. Do not need to be lectured by miserable staff about whether my mask (which was I was wearing) was sufficiently over my nose! A double jabbed individual

I have spent £17 on two Rib eye steaks and the quality was very poor. The meat was so tough I really had to consider if it was fit for the dog. Whilst I really want to support local trade, the quality and less than helpful staff member behind the counter would encourage me to go back to the major super markets. Good luck for the future

During this time of adversity owing to the current virus outbreak and uncertainty it would be nice to experience some kindness and comradery . I visited the farm shop yesterday as I live locally and like to support local businesses and was traumatised by an older member if staff there she was rude, aggressive and patronising and should not be on the front line in a customer facing role not a good example for the younger members of the team or the overall reputation of the business. I had used the hand gel on entering the shop as per their written instruction but put my scarf over my face as am an asthmatic and put on my gloves I was verbally attacked by the older member of staff on the deli counter for wearing my attire and to remove them as I was infecting the team! Totally ridiculous I told her that I was medically trained infact I was an infectious disease provider in operating theatres for many years , she shouted at the top of her voice that " I should know better" how insulting is that a customer said she agreed and I was left humiliated Very upset and angry like a witch hunt very bullish ! I would never set foot inside this place again ......they need to practise some level of professionalism and get rid of some members of staff who are indeed bringing their reputation into disreprute .....very badly done indeed !!

I have had their pies (steak ale mostly), their quiches, their samosa, I have eaten their meat, and everything - literally everything is top quality. Their quiches are made fresh every day - and I can't tell you so far, I have not been able to find a better one, or a better pie, in any pub I have been so far. And the best part is that the price is half of what you'd pay in a pub.

Often call in here when on our way to Winchester. Very disappointed this morning, the coffee was weak, and the toilets were filthy!

We are really lucky to have this farm shop nearby, and we are regulars here, making the most of the excellent meats from friendly butchers, yummy ice creams (so many flavours!), samosas and sausage rolls, best strawberries I have ever tasted, and recently, lots of different plums. We have also picked our own cherries. The café could do with a bit of updating in terms of decor and menu but the outside play area is very nice for younger children. It would be a nice touch to have a small area out the front where you can enjoy eating the ice creams. Always nice to shop here - the customer service is very friendly, and with so many treats on offer, it never feels like a chore!

Visited the fair shop with a friend yesterday and we decided to grab some food in the garden. The place was busy so I could anticipate things being a little slow, for starters there was a queue to get to the till to order and annoyingly only menu we could see was right at the till so this held everything up as you couldn't choose till you had to quickly! I ordered a cheese and onion pasty (photo attached probably talks for itself) and my friend a Spanish tapas dish. We went outside to find a table and it was quite disgusting to see so many tables stacked up with dirty plates and cups where nobody had cleared them, it stayed that way till when we left approx 2 hours later, therefore it was not a surprise that there was a lot of flies and wasps around. Waited 40mins for the food, my pasty looked like it had half the content burnt outside of the pasty, my friends tapas dish was a joke! The smallest dishes of hummus, sundries tomatoes and olives with what I assume was may be at best a quarter of a pitta bread, pitta bread is one of the cheapest ingredients and they were so stingy with it, not worth the £7. To add insult the lunch was expensive for what we got and nobody even bothers to check if people are happy with their food as the staff are simply too busy and understaffed. It really is a shame as the shop is a delight and the food there looks so much yummier than what we were served.

Lovely cafe and have been here several times for lunch. Specials on the board and a good selection of fillings for baguettes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Selection of hot & cold drinks and homemade cakes. Very reasonably priced and if you’ve room for more there is a selection of homemade ice cream flavours to choose from in the farm shop. Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely friendly place. I used to use it a lot when I was fostering or had my grandchildren for the school holidays or when my daughter was between nannies. It is warm and welcoming and the children love the garden area with the sandpit and play area. The food and Drinks are very reasonable priced. My husband and I go there now have a light lunch and a coffee and then shop for the excellent meats, pies, veg etc and sometimes a nice ice cream if the weather is good. It is a great place to shop if you want to know where your food comes from too. The staff are really lovely and helpful too

We, as a family group of four adults (one of whom is gluten intolerant) decided to have a lunchtime break here. Q's website advertises that gluten free needs are supported so we were disappointed that when gluten-free bread was asked for to accompany some excellent mushroom soup, we had a very curt refusal from cafe staff. No 'sorry' if they had run out that day, just a shrug when we mentioned the website details. The farm shop, on the other hand, was a cornucopia of produce. Well worth a visit

I first visited this small "Tea Room" (it is nothing that romantic) some years ago and went back today as I had left my car to be serviced in Rowstock and, well, there is nothing else nearby. Which is what makes the failure of this place to shine so difficult to understand. There is no shortage of parking, the garden is huge with a sandpit, toys and seating, but it feels like a business on the brink of closure. The highchair should have been thrown out months ago as it is a biohazard complete with a badly broken tray and food welded onto the straps. Drinks are sub-par, tables stained, chairs old and really uncomfortable. The conservatory is ridiculously hot, the roof is covered with dirt, cobwebs adorn the ceiling and there are two jugs of dusty plastic flowers gracing the sills at the end of the corridor. It's a sad little place that is missing a fantastic opportunity to catch all the bored babysitting grandparents and villagers who would love to visit an actual tea room.

Really sweet place with a wide variety of fruit to pick depending on the time of year. Nice helpful staff and very tasty fruit. Tried the ice cream available and the salted caramel is delicious, makes it better that they make it themselves! The farm shop across the road offers a wide choice of fresh produce again with friendly staff. A nice trip out and will continue to visit and support places like these. Money well spent.

Although local , I travel the length and berth of the uk , and I still think Q Garden is one of the best , great friendly service , the butcher and the quality of meat is ten to non , and always great local seasonal fruit and veg , you have to try there plums and strawberries in the summer months , and I think there is no one family or individual that visits that would not agree how exquisite there homemade ice cream is , along with pastry’s and cakes , bread , they support other great local businesses ( bakery)

Really excellent quality food in the farm shop. Some of it was a bit pricey but lots locally sourced and organic. Would be useful if they had a small wine fridge for a few bottles as I was staying in a hotel and didn't have access to a chiller. Very good homemade quiche with the thinnest pastry I have ever seen, Tomato and mushroom really yummy.

We were shopping daily for meat and vegetables at the Q Gardens Farm shop and stopped to have lunch in their Tea Rooms a couple of times. Both the farm shop and the tea rooms are using local fresh ingredients, all of very high quality. We ate extremely well on our short stay in the area and cannot recommend Q Gardens too highly for quality of food and service.

Q Gardens is a tea room, with large outside seating area and children's play area behind the Q Gardens farm shop. It serves light lunches, but is possibly best for coffee and a cake, either in the garden or in the fairly small conservatory.

Had a Sunday lunch for 2, my wife had previously been and rated this village pub part of the Greene King group. In a way the pub is traditional with a bar, restaurant layout but with a COVID canopy with booth style tables. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The draught beer on offer was a Greene King summer brew and a guest ale from Hardy & Hansons, Old Trip. Very reasonably priced at £4.80. We both had a roast, I had beef and my wife pork. My beef was plentiful but a little chewy but wife’s pork was good. The roast potatoes were very good and the vegetables were plentiful if a little soggy. There was a good sweet selection I had the apple pie with custard which was alright. I don’t know why there haven’t been any recent reviews but based on this visit I won’t be rushing back, sorry.
