Although the menu was limited due to an exceptionally busy weekend the food was delicious and the staff were amazing and attentive. Also a great atmosphere with live music .

Would avoid this place at all costs. Only stopped for a drink with my husband, brother and his girlfriend. On walking in to find a table we we abruptly told by an older lady staff member to find a table however she hadn't cleaned them yet. Then proceeded to ask my brother if we were having food as she 'hasn't had a drink all day' As I went to the bar and was taking drinks back to the table I accidentally spilt a tiny bit from the one onto the floor. I told this numerous times to my group and even proceeded to stand by the spillage to make sure no one trips. Now this is a very small place so everyone seen and heard me including this older lady staff member however no one acknowledged me so I then proceeded to sit down with my group. As we were finishing and getting ready to leave the older lady staff member noticed and very loudly announced 'oh look, who spilt that and didn't even tell us' as she grabbed a mop. My husband told her that I had said when I spilt it and she denied it. I then told her myself as I was walking out to her still saying no. By this time everyone in the place was looking at us. I found this very very daunting and very rude. I suffer majorly with anxiety especially being out in public and the way we were treated today at this place was absolutely disgusting. I think this place needs to give their staff members some customer service training ASAP! Would never go back, would never recommend and would avoid at all costs!!

Great food freshly cooked, friendly staff

Unfortunately it looks like the Beachtree has closed. A favourite place we have visited many times and we will miss our Christmas visit this year. Let’s hope it opens again in the coming months.

Not had food but drinks are expensive

We were in Cardiff for a family funeral so this was a convenient place to stay It has not been my ‘first choice pf a PI for many years on trips to Cardiff ( which are frequent) II prefer now to stay either at Barry Island or Cardiff Bay Positives Clean room and bathroom compliments to housekeeping staff The windows open in the room Negatives Only 1 bath towel for a double room housing two people No glasses for rinsing mouth after cleaning teeth just the tea/coffee mugs The whole hotel is very tired and in need of a refurbishment. Grubby carpets, cracked plaster and flaking paintwork around the windows. Tables in the Harvester were sticky they need to learn how to clean them properly Grubby carpets in the pub they need a good clean The pub closed at 9.30 pm while we were awaiting arrival of family so they could not even get a drink on arrival after a 3 hour journey It was a reasonable price which was why we booked here

We called in for a last minute, early dinner and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive even though we sat outside. The food was faultless, it was the best meal I’ve eaten in ages. Looking forward to returning again soon.

We held my uncle's wake here on Saturday, December 28th in the upstairs function room. From start to finish, we were looked after impeccably by the whole team. Nothing was too much trouble. Buffet lunch was plentiful, hot and delicious. Everyone commented on how nice both the food and venue was. The whole team made the event go without a hitch and I genuinely cannot thank them enough. Wishing all at The Wenvoe Arms a very happy new year!

Very disappointed to be told Cheese & Marmite ciabatta has been discontinued. Please re-instate it.

Nice food and drinks. Steak was beautiful. I had chicken and it was delicious. Sophia was the waitress for our table. Good manners and ready to help. Lady in the reception who was there to welcome people can do with a smile on her face. She looked grumpy and we didn’t felt welcomed

Quick service, clean toilets, vegan options

Absolutely awesome place for a beautiful meal with a variety of choices; the service was awesome, and the staff were courteous, caring, and friendly. A place I recommend anytime 😊 Additionally, I have seen the staff providing care, support, and good engagement with customers with disabilities and the words are limited to express how they managed and created a smooth experience for us and all in the restaurant ♥️

Observation: Not comfortable with dogs in the restaurant area. Staff appearance and hand cleanliness needs to be much improved.

Two friends and I visited here, and the food was excellent, and service was speedy. However we found the staff to be fairly passive aggressive and abrasive. We went up to the counter after finishing our lunch to order some tea and have a little cake for desert and instead they just told us our total of the bill and seemed annoyed/frustrated when we wanted to order more things. Would definitely visit again as the food we had was excellent, was just a shame about that staffs attitudes, I would usually put this down to a bad day, but after reading many other reviews this seems to be a common occurrence
