We usually stay here when we go to Cardiff, the family rooms are always clean and our children always sleep very well. When we have come without the children the double rooms make us feel a bit spoilt with nice lighting and a bit of an upgrade in furniture. The location is near a busy road but you cant hear the traffic once in your room. The staff are always lovely and helpful and the breakfast has plenty to suit everyone with a perfectly cooked poached egg.

Great friendly staff, clean rooms and the best breakfast in Cardiff, what's not to like?

I wasn't expecting too much, but the window in our room was covered in mould, which was hideous. The bathroom was basic and functional but again, paint peeling and clearly some water damage. There was also a lot of the those massive black flies in the corridor, which was grim. The family room didn't really match the tone of the photo, it was essentially a king and two singles with barely an inch to spare, in a normal size room. Shower was pleasantly powerful and the breakfast variety was decent at the Beefeater on the side.

Stayed here for a few hours to get some rest before getting on an early flight from Cardiff airport. Staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfy.

When we arrived to our room the bedding from the previous guests was still in the room on the floor so we had to throw it outside. In addition to that there was a light bulb out. Other than those 2 things we cant fault the Premier Inn. Unfortunately for them, part of our stay included the meal deal with Beefeater. The cheesy potato dippers were just flat chips. They came with bacon as an optional extra, which I declined and then they tried to charge me for. The salmon and garlic potatoes were ok but the roasted veg was not nice, either raw or burned due to the various sizes. We then ventured to the restaurant again for breakfast and I asked for decaf coffee but the waitress said she didnt think they had any and she would check. She then disappeared and never got back to me. I then had the audacity to ask for toast with my breakfast only to be told to make it myself. Thats fine I said, but can you let me know 3 mins before my food arrives. She said she would try, again, never heard from her again. All in all we would return to the Premier Inn but wouldnt bother with eating there.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay from beginning to end. Our family room was big enough for the three of us with large, comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed a bathroom with a bath as well as a shower. The room contained plenty of hanging space for clothes, good lighting, mirrors, coat hooks, hairdryer, towels and extra pillows if required. There was a large TV and well placed handy electrical sockets. The room, including the bathroom, was clean, well layed out and little additional extras are always appreciated, like shower gel. We ate both nights at the adjoining Beefeater, where we all enjoyed our food choices. Breakfast was also great. We had opted and pre booked two cooked breakfasts and our daughter ate at no extra cost. Our breakfast choices were cooked to order, therefore arriving fresh and hot... perfect. Additionally, there was a choice of cereals, pastries, toast, yoghurts with fruit toppings and even muffins! There were also unlimited hot and cold drinks. Added to all of this is free parking and ideally situated for us to visit St Fagan's Museum of Welsh life. We would definitely return here again.

I had a business trip nearby, and chose the premier inn, the hotel is exactly as it should be, but I was disappointed that the adjoining beefeater closed at 9.30, even though the open hours advertised 11.00. Breakfast was acceptable.

I ordered a lamb tikka masala and recieved a lamb and mostly chicken tikka masala. This has happened before. Not happy. They do do lovely food but I stopped ordering before because of meal issues. Just started to order from them again after a long time and their still getting it wrong. Also you only get half the amount of chips you get from anywhere else. Indian now is a lot of money. Not good when they get orders wrong and skimp on things. The tubs of rice and curry are no longer full either.
