Came for dinner with my dad we come every week we brought my wife and daughter with us this week we had such wonderful food and our server Nikki was absolutely fantastic always smiling and happy to be there food was quick and she was very attentive

I had a good experience at the beefeater, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Helen! From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.

We cannot say enough good things about our waitress Nikki. Nikki was attentive, wonderful & knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She offered fantastic recommendations when my children didn’t know which steak sauce to have. Compliments to each and every one of the chefs. We loved being able to watch them whilst they worked so professionally. The food was nothing short of phenomenal—every steak was perfectly cooked. Looking forward to our next visit. Great dining experience, tried some of the new dishes, the pizzette starter and millionaire brownie sundae were a great hit! Service from Amiee was fabulous!

We visited recently in a large group for a family birthday. We had tired children and a baby with us so we were quite a busy table but Nikki provided us with excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and served promptly. The atmosphere and setting was also very good. The prices were also reasonable considering the quality of the food and how much meals seem to cost elsewhere nowadays. we wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I have never experienced such a rude , and upsetting experience from a manager called Matthew , who literally stood over our table at 9.15 to tell us drink up , after being told we could have a 2nd round at 9.0clock . I’m don’t sure what he thought his imitation tactics were , but definitely not professional

The customer service is awful. Mathew the manager was extremely rude and stood over our table and attempted to intimidate my nan and grandad at 9.15 to hurry up and drink their drinks after they had sold us a second round, although online it says they shut at 11pm. Stood over our table without a word and stared at us all expecting us to leave even tho we hadn’t finished our drinks.

They do not attend without reservation, they give a bad service and are not at all friendly. They are very aggressive to answer questions.

Almost on my doorstep. So convenient. Pleasant, friendly staff and warm interior decoration. Food was nice (mixed grill) value for money. Serviced by Nikki who was warm and friendly.

Lovely meal for mothers day and very good service

Very poor service, same dirty tables for the whole duration of our three course meal. Staff busy chatting. No customer focus, our deserts came out without our main meal plates being cleared, plates still on the table. Food however was beautiful, was spoilt with poor service 😢

Arrived for a 7.30 booking, after being seated and asked for our drinks order, we perused the menu and a lovely waitress came to take our order. We placed our selection of starters and mains. We waited a further 10 mins after placing our order before our drinks arrived. Which were slightly wrong, my partner asked for a pint of Guinness and was brought out a non alcoholic can of Guinness with a glass. We decided not to say anything. Sat chatting between ourselves waiting patiently and the same waitress approached with our mains! I politely explained that we hadn’t received our starters. She was very apologetic and took the mains back and brought our starters, she then asked if we wanted our mains at the same time, we said no thanks and asked for them to be remade. After we’d done with the starters we waited again over 30 minutes for the mains to arrive and that’s when things got worse! My med-rare ribeye came out well done and my partners was med- well. I kept calm and called over the waitress and explained the issue, she was very apologetic again, got her manager who promptly took our meals away and had a very stern word with the chefs. We eventually had our mains, which were correct, at long last! The manager arranged for us to have a discount to compensate for all the mistakes. Which we were very grateful for. However this has put us off in going back in the future.

The food was ok The service was very good lady called Jackie served our table she was friendly helpful and had a lovely smile thank you.

Waited longer than expected for food, the place was not busy so no reason for a delay. When the food did arrive the steak looked as though it had been boiled certainly didn't look as though it was cooked 'rare', I ordered a 10oz rib eye and ended up with a boiled rump. Didn't bother to complain because by this time i just needed something in my stomach. This was my first and will now be my last visit to this place.

Food was ok....had the salmon which was overcooked so it was exchanged promptly for fish in batter which was lovely and fresh and piping hot.

Really nice food and a really nice waitress named jess went above and beyond on her service all in all a really nice experience.

Nice lunch but disappointed they had no cranberry sauce for the turkey. Our waitress Jess was brilliant.

Had breakfast here, I got my orders correct except one of my parents who had poached eggs which were solid. Bacon that is burnt and sausages was burnt too. Not edible. The server was not so happy about the complaint and did replace it but again it's a different order with hash browns. She doesn't like hash browns. I liked it a little but I'm not going there for breakfast. Thanks

A fairly enjoyable meal for the price, we also had a discount voucher, issue with the Calamari which was handled efficiently by Nikky & replaced, she was lovely, welcoming & attentive. We had a drink comped from the bill for the issue, many thanks.

Great service and great food only let down by the shortage of staff. 2 chaps then 2 ladies but not at the same time and getting your food or drinks order was fairly slow. Could do with extra hands on. Otherwise the place is spot on.

Allways use this Beefeater and have never had a bad meal, the staff are terific helpful smiley and food served in good time, value for money good, but let down by the extausionate price of soft drinks, you feel like your being tricked in to buying the refillable glasses which are so big anyway you rarely have a top up. Had a table set up right by the bar and stairs so not very cosy , appart from that will continue using this Beefeater purely for the quality of the food.

If I could I would rate this as zero. I walked in on my own and asked for a one table for myself. I was asked if I had a reservation, I said no. The person. Who served me said not until 19:30. I looked around and the place was not full. I turned around and left. I thought businesses was meant to make money not turn it away!!!!

Excellent service from the general manager Matt and his team Me and my family had an excellent starter and main meals Our waitress was Sophia and she was making sure we were all having a great time we could not have asked for a better waitress She made sure no one had any allergies and she was very pleasant The restaurant was all clean and tidy Atmosphere was great and it was an excellent experience My family said it was the best place for food they had had for a very long time and the atmosphere was great

Was greeted when arrived and given time to look through menus once our drinks order was placed. Our drinks and food order was taken by Sophia who was very helpful and polite. After our food arrived, Sophia checked with us that everything was ok with the food and we needed anything. Food was amazing and hot and desserts were lovely and a great range. Had a lovely evening with the family. Would definitely go back due to the great service.

Popped in on a whim, food was delicious, service from Jackie was excellent. Recommend the ribs and lasagne. Good food at a reasonable price.

Been a number of times over the last 6 years. Haven't been for quite some time but had a family get together before Christmas. It was as always amazing service, they go out of their way to help my mum who is disabled. And their service is amazing. Special nod to Jackie! She's the best. 🙌

The food and service by Gillian was really good but it was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant on the floor level we were sitting, there was no evidence of any form of radiator or fan convection heating and the area relied heavily on the ground floor area and upper floors to provide the heating for what is called the mid floor area. We were looking at having a nice relaxing meal but was unable to do so as it was, as I have said uncomfortable, we therefore did not stay for a drink or sweet and we had to take our unfinished bottle of wine with us.

A Beefeater is pretty much a Beefeater wherever you go. What made today's visit stand out was the service; friendly, efficient, helpful, everything we needed.

Really enjoyed the food but was kind of let down by seating and at the end, the awkwardness of paying for the food. We were meant to be a family of six but two couldn't make it. We were seated right next to the kitchen, which we would've preferred not to as it was quite noisy, plus the table seemed very grubby, with food found still on the bench we sat on. After our lovely meal I approached the waitress to settle the bill, after explaining that I had a voucher it all went a bit negative and embarrassing to be honest. The Waitress wasn't 100% sure if the took my "Dine out" voucher (which I appreciate) so she approached her Manager (I think). I tried to explain to the Manager that I had got a voucher, but I was clearly struggling with sorting it, and I just found it aittke embarrassing as I felt like I was in the wrong, so I just paid by card and left ASAP. The problem with this is I could've had dyslexia, and I felt I became a burden the minute I mentioned about the voucher. I definitely won't be returning, a shame really as this place used to be really nice.

I've never been to prison, but I imagine the food there is slightly better. Never tasted such bland , poorly presented cheap food in my life. But charged at a medium cost , defiently not worth it. And far better places that are cheaper and better quality , that's my first complaint, my second and most importantly is the toilets ... omfg , I've never smelt piss like that in my life , I was expecting to open a cubicle and there be a piss soaked through grandad there passed out it was that bad . Smelt like a OAP home corridor x 40. Beef eater , give your managers some money to sort the place out 🤢

Stop on our way to pick up from the airport and had a lovely meal with great service from Jackie very fast service with the food and very hot. Will definitely come again

Been here many times but this weekend was a big let down. Table wasn't ready then sat in a dark area meal took an hour to arrive at the table steaks overcooked but couldn't be bothered to complain as wasn't willing to wait an hour for them to recook it. Side dish of prawns for £4.99 and only 2 prawns on the plate with nothing else. And the place wasn't even busy

We eat here regularly. I had a voucher for a free rump steak so we decided to go. I have to say my steak was the best I have ever eaten at any beefeater. It just cut like butter. The other meals were also really good. Sophia our waitress was really fantastic. A very good experience.

Good food and great service, however it's a shame that you get to 9pm and the heating and fruit machines are turned off and you are made to feel that it's time to go. Could be a really good pub.

The manager is a stress head. He cannot manage the restaurant well at all. He walks around like a nervous, stressed out wreck. The food has gone down hill massively. Such a shame because this place used to be one of my favourites and now I don’t think I’d return again. Needs major improvement!!

my parents and I visited tonight for the first time in over a year after a bad experience. our waitress Jackie was so lovely and the food was good...definitely visit again soon...

We ate here as part of our stay at the Premier Inn next door and it was disappointing. The cheesy potato dippers were just flat chips. They came with bacon as an optional extra, which I declined and then they tried to charge me for. The salmon and garlic potatoes were ok but the roasted veg was not nice, either raw or burned due to the various sizes. We then ventured to the restaurant again for breakfast and I asked for decaf coffee but the waitress said she didnt think they had any and she would check. She then disappeared and never got back to me. I then had the audacity to ask for toast with my breakfast only to be told to make it myself. Thats fine I said, but can you let me know 3 mins before my food arrives. She said she would try, again, never heard from her again. My husband did say she looked like she was on her own which is fair enough, but perhaps you should get more staff. We wont be returning.

Good Sunday lunch nicely cooked and without having to wait too long. We were served by Sophie who was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was fairly quiet so lacked a liitle in atmosphere.

We booked a table for 6 for my daughters birthday. The lady that greeted us was lovely. Our table was laid out - but unfortunately the table hadn't been cleaned before it was laid- it was sticky and dirty. I waited a while to catch the eye of someone behind the bar to ask them if they had a cloth. The lady seemed personally affronted that I had asked her. She did come and wipe the table - but I ended up getting wet wipes out of my bag and wiping it again because she missed half of it. The same lady then came to take our drinks order and was very abrupt and huffy. Luckily another lady took over gor our food orders and bringing the food out and she was delightful. All in all it did not spoil the evening - it was just unnecessary! I wasn't rude. I wasn't offhand. I have worked in enough pubs to understand how tough a job it can be - but there was absolutely no need to be huffy.

I wouldn’t waste your time. For starting the parking is confusing 🫤 you go right round the premier inn to go to the front of beefeater no signage for restaurant parking. Then you enter the building nicely decorated service was ok as expected for a pub. The food on the other hand is terrible we had smothered chicken what part of it was smothered I don’t know there was no bbq sauce on it but water on plate where I presume it is boiled before cooking or stored in water ?? We also had garlic cheesy flat bread…. Little cheese with no garlic taste at all this was disgusting and disappointing. The tables were also clean but sticky toilets seem ok smells nice when you walk in

Service was excellent with patient staff and good customer service with options. All the the food looked delicious was cooked so it tested good and surrounds were calm and quiet.

The waitress was rude long wait between the courses not very helpful staff the food was not worth the amount they were charging. Spoke to the manager but not helpful to.

Arrived at 1 o'clock and ordered drinks and food. Drinks were served straight away and the food arrived about 20 minutes later. We all had Sunday roast and it was delicious. The beef was tender and tasty,the vegetables were also cooked well and tasty too. The gravy was absolutely delicious and overall the meal was by far the most enjoyable Sunday lunch we have had in a very long time. Congratulations to the chef on cooking a delicious lunch 👍👍👍

Great ambience, food very tasty. I think it's good that they offer different menu options. This is a cheap way to eat. Children's menu is more than sufficient.

I've been to the beefeaters quite a few times now, each time good service, ( from Nicky) Good Food, and the steaks are always cooked perfectly. Also, there is very little gristle or fat, which I find annoying when we go to other restaurants.

Food, service and staff you can't fault it. We go there a few times a month.

Poor value for money. 2 extra prawns for £5. Bit tasteless. Dark inside. Good waitress.

Waitress was very good but could not say the same about the food. Fish & Chips and the Chicken with cheese and barbecue sauce was nice but the portions were too small. We had desserts of sticky toffee pudding that was nice but the apple and blackberry crumble was rubbish. The fruit was just a goo and the topping was some kind of dust sprinkled thinly on the top, a cheek to describe it as a crumble. The waitress listened to our complaint and took the pudding off the bill. Didn’t make us want to go back!

Lovely chilled atmosphere, and I sat out the garden in the sun 🌞 The food was lovely, I had a grilled chicken cob salad. The staff were lovely, but I did wait a while at the bar just to order drinks before eating. Whoever serves at the bar also does desserts, so you have to wait until they are finished. That's the only downside to my visit. Otherwise, it's lovely afternoon out.

Dreadful! Advertised as an all you can eat buffet breakfast, when we arrived we were kept waiting to be shown to our table for almost 10 mins. There was no cereal, or bread to toast at the sled service counter, we had to ask for croissants and cereal as these were also empty. There was one toaster which we had to wait for 15 mins to use. There was also no decaf coffee able at the machines. When it came to the hot food you had to choose what you wanted and it was served to you- if you had wanted more you would have died waiting . Service extremely poor, restaurant grubby, no food on continental cart. All you can eat buffet breakfast a joke it is served to you, no staff to be seen if you want extras. Will not be returning .

I have visited this restaurant few months ago and didn’t experienced good service however, my lasted visit I was served by a lovely lady called Jackie. She was wonderful. She was very helpful, welcoming and very efficient. Definitely come back just to see Jackie. Great employee.
