10/10. Staff are incredible, the food is the best I’ve had and all reasonably priced! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Dispite it saying on the website that it was open it was shut, but no notice on the door or any apology.

We booked a table for 2 for a Valentine's day dinner and we enjoyed a marvellous meal. The table was nicely decorated and with a sweet little box of chocs for the ladies. We ordered a glass of Prosecco for my wife while I ordered a good bottle of red and started on that. For a first course I chose the smoked salmon which was served with the classic side dish with toast, neatly cut into triangles, capers, sour cream and diced red onion. The portion of salmon was massive and the quality excellent. My wife enjoyed her prawn cocktail which she said was very good indeed. We both ordered sirloin steak - medium rare for our main course. It was delicious, tender and tasty and served with a fine red wine gravy. The accompanying French fries were first class. The portions were so generous that we could not manage a pudding. The service was very good and the cost came to about £100 and we left a tip of £10 for the service which was all very reasonable. My wife was presented with a red rose before we left which made a fitting end to a wonderful evening at Illtud's.

It's ok been to a lot better airport

Visited The Fox, for Mother’s Day Lunch. Really nice location and bustling atmosphere with really attentive staff. Choice of roast beef, lamb or turkey . I opted for the lamb which was excellent and very tender.

Was not the best experience with dinner ...took my wife and was truly let down with the whole traditional pub hype. The food was not up to scratch for the price of each dish..my wife had hunters chicken wich came with a 2 inch thick layer of cheese and chips wich where totally cooked through to the point of them being a horrid brown colour...my mix grill was horrid the meat assortment was not cooked to edable standard and was swimming in fat also chips yet again cooked to within an each of edable...the egg wasn't even cooked properly so if you don't want to waist hard earned money give this slum a miss...over priced drinks over cooked food a total let down of an establishment...needs refurbishment and food reviewing....not a good experience

Popped in for lunch, after a long drive back home. Was pleasantly surprised to see that the menu selection had increased significantly since previous visit, and includes all day breakfasts, and wide range of baps. Special board also had bagels Cafe was busy which made a nice atmosphere, but we were still able to find a table easily. Service was prompt and food was great. Will be visiting again soon

Visited Lunch time Six adults two children We has melon ,soup and crayfish salad for starters the portion were huge the salad and melon beautifully presented were meals in them selves. The mains were well presented we had beef, turkey and pork again large portions on plate plenty of various roasties with plenty of tureen of veg lots of hot gravy and the meal themseves were very hot Usual assortment of desserts again substantial portions. Staff very well presented cheerful and helpful Great day

The food is absolutely stunning with top end ingredients like usual, I’ve tried every Indian take away in Barry and by far the best… will go no where else 👌. Would like to thank the delivery lady especially. Thankyou so much sorry I never had the amount ready. Could you ask the delivery lady to message me her bank details would like to send an extra £5 to her, she helped me and my daughter massively. Thankyou 😊❤️

Had a birthday party here, venue is an absolute steal for free we just paid for a cocktail tree to secure. We were given free reign to decorate and the music which was good and the party itself was good. However organisation and communication from the owner was lacking, we were told we had the venue till 7pm, then at 4pm receive via a text that we had to leave - I still had guests! We compromised on clearing the food table, however the bar staff made it very obvious they wanted us gone by their general attitude which was a real shame as we had such a great time previously and could have been prevented with better communication and planning. There is also only 1 toilet upstairs which is in desperate need of renovating and didn't have enough loo roll or soap to even last the first hour of the party. I'd come here again for drinks as they are very good, however I'd be hesitant to recommend as a party venue.

Lovely food and great service by Maureen. Throughly enjoyed the meal, with very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.
