After waiting an hour and a half my chips were hard my husband chicken wax chewy, food definitely wasn’t edible Won’t be using again

The food is absolutely stunning with top end ingredients like usual, I’ve tried every Indian take away in Barry and by far the best… will go no where else 👌. Would like to thank the delivery lady especially. Thankyou so much sorry I never had the amount ready. Could you ask the delivery lady to message me her bank details would like to send an extra £5 to her, she helped me and my daughter massively. Thankyou 😊❤️

Saddens me to say as they proclaim to be authentic indian food so they might be quite good upon glancing at the other reviews. However, although I only purchased a cheese and chips I was surprised about the amount of chips I got for what I paid. I told the staff member and he said "that is the size that comes" so I probably won't be going back.

Fabulous food, delivered promptly and with care, will definitely be eating from The Raj of Barry again.

I've been going to the Raj up in Rhoose for nearly 16 yrs. When the head chef of the raj of barry says he used to run it, he means it. The food is exactly the same even better than the raj up Rhoose. Without doubt best Indian in barry. Awesome customer service tom keep up the good work guys

The House Special Biryani was so Yummy and I ate the whole thing, even though it was quite heavy for one person. Brilliant and Rapid service.Friendly staff and quite exceptional indian takeaway indeed.Get back soon.Cheers!

Absolutely abysmal, 2 hours we waited for cold rice an chips that were cooked last week, for the time we waited an the money we paid it is hands down the worst food experience ive ever had, shocking service have a word 2 hours an im 2 mins down the road laughable

A great Indian takeaway. Ahmed runs a great business, and the food is lovely. We will post some pictures the next time we have an Indian takeaway. There is so much to choose from on the menu. I'm looking forward to trying so much of the food. The service is very good and pretty quick considering all the food is cooked fresh.

2 stars only - Nice chunks of chicken in the tikka masala, masala sauce was average but the onion bhaji was the worst I ever had, they were cold, hard, looked burned to a degree or over microwaved. Poppadoms tasted of chips like the fryer hasn’t been changed. The meat samosa was lovely though. Hubby had a madras sauce which he has never had anything so hot in all his life. Think this was a different sauce if I am honest, may have got mixed up. Keema Naan was just ok, meat was a bit like rubber inside. Also took over an hour to arrive dis bite ordering just after 5pm. Will not order ever again and have no intention of going to the restaurant in fontygary either if the food is this type of standard.

Had my first takeaway from Raj of Barry last night because our regular Indian takeaway has not been so good lately. Once I find somewhere I like I am loyal and don’t go anywhere else. I was very impressed at how quickly it was delivered and both my husbands and my food was delicious. My one complaint though, was my king prawns still had their tails on and it was very difficult to take them off without getting very messy and burning my fingers. I always have king prawns and will give Raj of Barry another chance, but if this happens again I will have to look again.

The ordering app was super slick and easy to use, the prices are very good, and most importantly, the food was delicious and still quite hot when delivered to rhoose! All at the convenience of your own home! Can’t recommend enough! Very impressed!

Nice curry, not swimming in oil, like some. Generous portions with lots of chicken. Dupiaza, jalfrezi and tikka masala, all right heat, no issues with food. Docked a star as we ordered for 8pm and arrived at 8.45pm, had to reheat which I dislike.... 😜

Ordered on Uber to deliver to Dinas Powys which was a bonus, food arrived sooner than expected and hot, driver was great. Food lovely, had the hot Captain Pathila myself and my wife had a Tikka Masala, both exactly how we had them in the Raj Kinara last year, very impressed and will use again.

Vile. Ordered two biryanis on Saturday 19.11.2022, one with plain curry sauce, the other with madras sauce. Collected from the shop, where the staff member refused to honour the 10% discount for collection as advertised on the website (reason given was that this 'is not on the weekend', but this was not stated on their website). So we are looking at £30, including a bag of chips and a naan bread. When you pay this dollar, the expectation is the meal is going to be outstanding. Got the food home, biryani rice was bland and the plain curry sauce was basically orange-coloured water with no flavour. On the other hand, the madras sauce (next level up for spice) was so over the top for spice heat, it was virtually inedible. Chips were pretty standard. On the bright side they managed to turn out a decent keema naan. So: False advertising Overcharging customers with top whack prices Terrible food. P.S. Most of the reviews on their website are fake, the place has only been open a couple of months tops, but there is feedback from 2018. Can't leave a review on there anymore, what does this say?!

If u want to wait 2 hours for a delivery and numerous phone calls to somebody to keep telling you to hold the line,no conformation of time being delivered.meal came after 2 hours and cold .

Best takeaway curry ever, captain pathila lamb with coconut rice and an extra masala sauce, keema naan, lamb was so tender keema naan very fresh, god to see the quality has returned, hope its stays consistent.

I must have had an Indian takeaway from every Indian in Barry, Penarth and Dinas, and by far the Raj of Barry is the best! Absolutely beautiful!

Very disappointed with the quality of the food especially for the price they’re charging for it. Not even close to the quality of the raj kinara as you have falsely advertised to be apart of as i have just found out!! The guy that took the order was very rude also the delivery driver wanted to keep my £6 change for tip.

Just eaten a captain pathila with pilau rice and it was absolutely delicious. Chicken so tender and the whole dish was so tasty. I’ll be having that again!
