Three Golden Cups in The Vale of Glamorgan

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch this afternoon. The sea bass was particularly good and the vegetables and side dishes that came with the Sunday roasts hugely exceeded our expectations. We eat out for Sunday roasts quite often but this was one of the best we’ve had in quite some time. The service was great too. We had a baby who needed a high chair and three dogs between us and we were welcomed and provided with everything we needed. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon before some of us set upon a long journey back to Yorkshire.

What a find!! We were staying nearby and dropped in for lunch after a blustery, wet walk. A very warm welcome we had , two children and a dog were also welcomed and we were all made to feel comfortable and had drinks and menus offered promptly. Plenty of choice on the normal lunch menu and the kids menu. Lovely ales also available, especially the local amber ale. Food arrived after an acceptable wait as it was clearly all freshly prepared. Very good portion sizes and quality of ingredients. Would highly recommend if you are nearby ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were a party of 10. Food excellent, came out all together and everybody enjoyed what they asked for. Would highly recommend.

I mean I can’t really complain as overall it was a good weekend here. However I think it was pretty expensive. £25 a night, without electric is lot. The showers are in portaloos and are absolutely freezing so no one used them. The toilets are indoors which is better however I don’t think they were cleaned all weekend? The pub next to field is lovely and the staff were great, the owner seemed very lovely and laid back which is what you want! The pizza guy was quite miserable on one day however the next day he did cheer up - maybe he had personally issues but it wasn’t great customer service. Overall, 4 stars because I had a good weekend but price, cleanliness and showers were a big let down. Not sure I would return based on that.

Great pub, great location, great atmosphere & decent food as well to be fair.

First and last time we will go for a meal here ,went without booking and had a table for two,my Husband and chicken dinner I had beef.veg not hot ,Yorkshire pudding over cooked so was the few roast potatoes my beef was under cooked and unable to cut ,fatty and I would not give this to my dog.no one came and asked if everything was OK, so as we payed for a meal that no one enjoy I told them meat was inedible. Nothing else said .poor food very disappointed 😞.

Lovely food, but wasn't offered cutlery or condiments then when approached the bar staff to ask for baby changing facilities they said there wasn't any and carried on with their day without giving any other option which leaded to us changing the baby In the car boot.

Friendly and hard-working staff, super meals-served very quickly- and traditional cottage-style restaurant. Visited early evening on a particularly hot day, so most people were eating outside.

Second visit to this little gem en route to beach at Southerndown. We had good weather so sat outside. A couple of points to note. Service here is outstanding. A very warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Food is pub level but well cooked and served. Specials board takes it above the average. I would recommend and I have been to several pubs in this area. By far the best.

Love this place...fantastic when the sun is shining...nice atmosphere...great staff...we have camped here as well which was fab...food is always top notch..

Stopped off for lunch on a coastal walk. The bar was dog friendly and the menu had a large gluten free section (which was a great surprise). The food was home cooked and lovely. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Will definitely return.

amazing starter prawns in batter batter was perfect however main course fish and chip batter of fish was far to thick and burnt taste and the fish was very poor quality and no taste and a rubbery texture price did not reflect in the quality had better for half the price shame because we do like the place

We were a group of 40 for dinner - half kids, half adults. We were asked to pre-ordered and when we arrived the food was served quickly and was delicious. The manager was excellent - thanks Kerry! Super-efficient. A very happy party of sandy-footed families. We were staying in the campsite - they were happy to do takeaway dinners for us if we had wanted.

Really good homemade food. I had the lasagna that was beautiful. Service was quick and friendly staff. We were staying on the adjoining campsite, will be back again to try the pizza.

A massive thank you to Dave, Janine and staff for a fantastic welcome and incredible generosity today for our walk to mark Bridgend Samaritans 50th Anniversary. After breakfast the walkers set off with Chris Jones to Dunraven Bay, St Brides and Ogmore Castle and returned to an unexpected, but very much appreciated, lunch. Everyone had an enjoyable time and we are indebted to you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Diolch yn fawr!

Shocking food the chicken in the Cajun chicken wrap was grey & black on taking it back the manager came out to say it was chicken thigh and it was this colour as it was near the bone . No offer of a refund . The table outside was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned for a long time there were dried tomatoes sauce stains and drink stains . The place where you had to get your own cutlery was dirtyas were the salt & pepper pots and the vinegar was cloudy, Won’t go back

We have been visiting here for years for food and camping, it’s a fab place. It’s recently been taken over and the host is lovely. We ordered 3 pies, all freshly made and tasted delicious with chunky chips and a range of freshly steamed vegetables....

We recently went to the beach at Southerndown and on the way home we visited the Three Golden Cups. There was a fantastic menu offering a selection of pub favourites, as well as an extensive specials board. I ordered the cheese and leek potato cake for starters, followed by the mussels in white wine sauce served with chips and crusty bread for the main. My husband chose the garlic mushrooms for starters followed by the home made corned beef pie and chips. The food was delicious and fantastic value for money. On arrival we received a very warm welcome and the staff did everything they could to make our visit safe and memorable. The restaurant was immaculate with all Covid measures in place. We can't wait to visit again.

Whilst out for a drive today to Ogmore, stopped at the Three Golden Cups for some lunch,firstly you notice the lengths gone too to make your visit both safe & very pleasurable, all Covid measures in place, we were very impressed by the menu plus large specials board, great selection of pies on menu, we decided on both having the Steak & Ale pie, it comes with a choice of potatoes, opted for chips, which were stunning!, the pies were full with supurb Qaulity steak etc, absolutely stunning!,we demolished every single bit!,served by very friendly and helpful staff, will definitely be re visiting very soon for sure, very highly recommended 10/10

Called in at 12.30 pm after a long walk along the coastal path. There were two ladies serving. When asked if they did food one said 'yes' the other 'no'. Then I was told they definately were not doing food because they had had a busy weekend! Then I was told I came back in half an hour and then they would be doing food. This was despite lots of advertising boards outside stating they did a range of meals. I left disappointed and confused!! I've never bern told on Monday lunchtime before that food was not available because 'we've had a busy weekend'!! Very very poor service. You would have thought in these times with a National Lockdown in Wales starting in 5 days that they would welcome people for lunch.

Lovely restaurant pub situated close to Dunraven Bay. Pub offers a wide range menu including home cooked options... Pie & Pint Thursday! Yum! The establishment offers camping in adjacent field, and features a large outdoor seating area.Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly. Free WiFi.We've been several times and will continue to visit as it's now a favorite. Highly recommended.
