Cold curry and stale poppadoms really disappointed

The gentlemen behind the bar were as welcoming as warm urine to a hydrated mouth. Zero communication at all and I mean zero… in fact I retract the gentlemen comment. Guinness was nice 👍🏼

Lovely, clean and better yet amazing food

Had Stratopramen. A pint is £4.40. Bartender was really friendly, funny and experienced. Would definitely go again. There's a cool gong to denote last order. An actual gong. Good WiFi, plenty of tables and comfy seating. Great place to cosy up after a long day at work. Nice spacious open plan layout with a few pool tables.

Went for lunch because I was going to a matinee at the neighbouring theatre and didn't want to walk far and miss the start of the show. I ordered a toasted granary bread sandwich of halloumi, pesto and tomato and a pot of tea. The sandwich was flanked by a generous side salad and the meal has kept my stomach satisfied all day (which is very difficult to do as I usually snack all day. The sandwich, salad and tea altogether cost only £7! This was far too cheap, like being in a timeslip, so I left a tip.

Disappointing! We had Sunday lunch here. Had prebooked via facebook messenger, which they had confirmed, but they still weren't expecting us when we arrived. Sat us at a little table on a platform. Very old tired, grubby furniture. Stained and torn chairs. Glasses weren't clean. Service overall, was just ok. Very young girls serving who did their best. Food took quite a while to come out despite it not being that busy when we ordered, the veg and gravy arriving much earlier than the rest of the dinner. Food was extremely basic and rather bland. No dessert menu, the waitress verbally gave us 2 choices! Never experienced that before. Overpriced for what it was. The place needs an overhaul, a good clean and refurbishment, along with tastier food. Disappointing. We won't return.

We went for the meat feast pizza. It was a great Pizza and we would highly recommend.

Excellent Chinese. Lovely staff and the food was amazing best Chinese I have had since moving to Cardiff. Chips were out of this world. Good value for money.

Simply isn’t very good.. I’ve had a few great meals in the Clay Pit but I’ve had as many poor meals too.. I’ve just eaten a chicken korai which on the menu is listed as Spicy and it simply wasn’t.. to me it was a poor medium chicken curry with added green peppers and onions. Sorry guys it was less than ordinary.

The wrong pizza was delivered, phoned and told correct one was on its way. Half hour later phoned again to find out where pizza was to be told it hadn’t been made and would take another 20mins. Customer service was very rude and arrogant. Won’t be ordering food from here again

Lovely place, always clean and bright. Didn't eat anything but it looked lovely. We enjoy a drink and people watching
