The best restaurants in Thanet South East

Second time to the Cow Shed as the first time was great. We were disappointed this time around… dry chips, wait times were fairly long but the real off putting thing was the quiz night! I didn’t realise it was on when I booked. We fancied a quiet meal to celebrate our anniversary to be met with the sounds of buzzers, cheers and flushing toilet sounds!! It was really off putting and was such a shame to what was a great experience the last time we came.

The perfect spot to stop along the sea front. The food is exceptional as are the staff! Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I visited the Powell Pub yesterday again we have moved to the area in late November and on every visit to the Powell it’s been truly amazing the Staff are always very friendly and very helpful the range of Beer’s and wine are really good the menu is Great we have now eaten there in a couple of occasions and we were both very happy with our meals . The Powell is the True meaning of a really well run pub / restaurant I would highly recommend

Food very nice the restaurant lacked atmosphere it could’ve done with a bit of music playing I had lasagne, which was delicious and a salad My partner had a calzone which he enjoyed The tiramisu was very good It was a bit offputting, but the lady serving was wearing a mask and rubber gloves maybe she is vulnerable. I’m not sure…. Reasonable. Prices that are very reasonable too

Once the spring equinox has passed it is not necessary to light a fire inside.

A beautiful family lunch outside in the sunshine! We were served less than 2 minutes after sitting down with everything being brought to the table promptly. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful waiting staff - a great place to eat!

Staff are all so friendly & helpful. I lost my debit card, last place I'd been was here, phoned them up & they had it. My hubby went to collect it. The staff were great & recognised him, as we go there often, he also had one of my other cards just in case. They gave him the card. I couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much

Poor service went in on a not so busy dat and waited a long time but no service we had to go to another place for coffee

Popped in for breakfast this morning and was very disappointed with what I received. Only ordered 2 poached eggs, beans and a coffee. Took 20-25 mins to get my breakfast which was basically a dozen baked beans that were cold and 2 underdone poached eggs. Coffee was also not very hot. This cost me £5.30. Wasn’t impressed and won’t be back.

Saturday. I came across a concert of The Broken Seals. Great atmosphere. Toilets clean and fragrant. There is a pool table. There is also darts. Typical English Pub.

Nice place to enjoy Haddock and Chips! The fish was huge and absolutely delicious. Tasty batter and a nice portion of chips. The service was fantastic and friendly. I`ll be back next time I´m here. Mere

Great night band was very loud but also very good

Amazing meal, each dish was wonderful, beautifully presented, great balance of flavours and textures in each. Also good wine! Shame we had to pay for the filtered water, bit cheeky but the food was delicious.

Peace, cleanliness. The only downside was the humidity in the apartment and the mold. But that can be expected in such a country. Otherwise, I have no complaints 🙂

The meal was tip too however the service from one person ruined the whole experience for us. Please be aware that this is a passive experience, great food but indifferent service. I do t want to mention names but she know who she is.
