First of all: Awesome creative Mexican food. Really tasty and worth the wait! For anyone else who doesn't really understand why there seems to be a Mexican restaurant and a pub with pub food here: the pub part is seasonal and is open during the fall/winter/early spring season. Otherwise this is a Mexican restaurant with a bar/dance area attached. Again, the food is great, but the place can be exceptionally loud, especially when there's something going on in the bar area. Nevertheless, would recommend.

Came for bank holiday monday lunch yesterday and the food and location is great I can't fault it. My waitress Freya was absolutely brilliant too ! She was so kind to my child, speaking to her instead of over her which a lot of places usually do. Freya really made an effort to go through the menu with me and recommended dishes suitable for my allergy, I ended up going with the Birria tacos and haven't stopped thinking about them since. She is an asset to the team ! The bartenders were also very friendly and drinks were fab especially the spicy margarita. Great job cinque ports! Cant wait to be back x

The food was fantastic, the music was brilliant and got me in the mood and ready for dreamland next door. Freya, Rhiannon & Zoe were really helpful, knowledgable of the menu, kind and attentive.

Ordered 2 drinks On the menu the drinks I ordered came to £6.70 and wine £6.50 (175ml). I was charged over £15 When I enquired the girl behind the bar treated me like I had just messed up and kept repeating the price. Eventually it was clear to both of us the menu price was different than the till price - which was causing the confusion.... To which she just stated that the menu is wrong. Not much more of an apology and she left the incorrect menus out. Turns out my 175ml wine had gone up to £8.50! I wouldn't have ordered this if this was the case for the quality of wine served - which was the cheapest in the menu (and quality of service).

Nice loaded nachos, good location by the sea. Friendly staff and comfy place.

This is a really funky cool place. The interior is very stylish, the music and atmosphere was special. We had a cocktail outside overlooking Margate beach and food inside in their restaurant. The staff were really friendly and gave great recommendations on food.

Really cool place, staff was friendly and great music, but at 7pm on the dot the music volume went up REALLY LOUD and we couldn't chat anymore so we left.

Lovely spot, great, tasty Mexican food and nice cocktails. Bar and waiting staff are very friendly.

The kitchen wasn't open when we visited the place on Monday, which looked otherwise quite empty as well. It would be great to see kitchen opening times on Google Maps to avoid wasting time when it's not open. I couldn't find kitchen opening times on the website either.

Cool pub right on the seafront. Great ambiance, good music, tasty beer and a wide selection of spirits. Also a great Mexican fusion restaurant.

Great place to watch the sunset or grab a drink before a concert at Dreamland.

Let’s start with the music. It’s stupidly loud. So loud you cannot hear the person next to you talking. It’s difficult to talk to the serving staff to order extra drinks. It was so loud we cut the meal short and left. Food was a mixed bag. 8 meals ordered, at least 3 supplied cold. Others lukewarm at best. One appeared burnt. Drinks were fine. Didn’t hang around for puddings etc as said before, we left as soon as we could. Bill was around £190 for 8 people including drinks.

Half of it was dog friendly which was good as we had a dog. Good service and we adults were "allowed " to have a half portion of roast which was great and more than enough for us. Good views from front of restaurant

Work here from time to time when I am needed to cover. Everyone here are so lovely, amazing place to host parties .

One of the best roasts we've had out. Superb homemade huge yorkies, thick tasty gravy, wonderful cauli cheese. Faultless. Lovely team of ladies serving us also. Highly recommend 👌

Absolute disappointment.... Chicken wings were dry and over cooked .... Nachos had no real cheese just looked like baby food chucked on them .. never bothered tasting... Dr Dre flatbread had no Chicken in it despite costing £15 just covered in bbq sauce ... asked for extra dip that cost £2 came out at the end of the meal ...was then charged £6 service charge even though we waited nearly an hour for the food ..... did not complain just won't go back and wouldn't recommend

We popped in on a spontaneous day out in Margate, as we had our first date here! 2 1/2 years on, the drinks were still good and we enjoyed the bar snacks. I'm sure we will be back again in the summer :)

This is one the worst places I have been to for food. Pretty much all the food was covered with a very hot chilli sauce which made everything inedible. Guessing the people cooking don't actually try their own food.

We had a lunch on Sunday due a heavy traffic we arrived 20 minutes late When we arrived we apologies with the receptionist he was kind of upset for our delay while 3 quarters of the restaurant was empty , after all the lunch was fine apart the waiters where stressing us every minute trying to upselling drinks and food I can understand that but this was too much Not big expectations from this place not cheap at all with the same money you can have a better experience somewhere else in Margate

Sticky tables and very slow service (apparently they had a chef arrive late) but food was tasty when it arrived, and the servers were kind.

Love this place. To coin Love Island: it is what it is. Killer margaritas. Pints of Corona. And delicious/dirty Mexican plates. Loud music. Great service.

Vegetarian food was awful, not authenticate Mexican. Really gross vegan cheese sauce and overpriced nachos with stale chips. All that, and a ridiculous service charge which was over 10% of the bill. The balcony was covered in spiders as well. The only redeeming factor was the drinks.

Well, while down in Thanet we'd heard about the Cinque Ports and what a good cocktail it serves. So we dived on the train and popped our heads in. One Espresso Martini & Margarita. I can honestly say, that the Espresso Martini was one of the best & may be the best I've had so far. I believe the Margarita wasn't to bad either 😁💃🕺🍸🍸.

Really amazing food and service!! A place we will recommend to all of our friends!! There is nowhere else in Thanet that has such a great atmosphere like this did. I was served by Taylor and must say his customer service was top notch. If you haven’t already, you must go!!!

Went here for the first time tonight and must say I’m thoroughly impressed!! Taylor gave amazing customer service, we felt really welcomed and at home and my toddler got a lot of attention too, which isn’t common when we go for meals! The food was amazing and deffo the best pina coladas in Thanet!! 100% recommend 😁

Lovely clean mexican restaurant in the heart of seaside Margate. Nice menu with flavoursome traditional mexican food. Good sevice, really good music playlist, and friendly staff. I recommend.

I discovered that Cinque Ports had become a Mexican restaurant today. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Piggie Smalls tacos with Mexican fries. The tacos were so fresh and yummy, and the fries had the best seasoning I've ever had on them. Churros for pudding, which were fab. The decor is gorgeous and colourful. I absolutely recommend a visit to Cinque Ports if you're in the area.

Nice atmosphere and stylish decoration, in a superb location with seaview. The team was very friendly and accomodating. Hot drinks (hot chocolate, coffees) were nice. The food tasty and we were served quickly even though it was very busy and were a big group. The spicy cocktails are a bit special, wouldn't order them again but all other drinks seemed to be good.

Outstanding Mexican food & great service

Was told when food arrived that if he had known my friend was a celiac we wouldn't have been served at all. He seemed pretty annoyed that the waitress hadn't asked as said friend ordered gluten free. Kinda made everything a bit awkward . Food was okay small and over priced. Loaded fries all I could taste was lime. Nice atmosphere. Kitchen looked a little dirty/ messy. Prob wouldn't visit again

Very nice food. Really enjoyed our dishes and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely recommend! We went as family so also had kids meal which were also lovely

My friend was in a wheelchair so we were unable to sit in the restaurant due to there being a lot of stairs. This ment we did not have waitress service. Found the food poor. Would not rush back

Really tasty food , We had the Nachos pilled up high to start. Then fish tacos and the piggy smalls tacos. All the food was amazing.

It's hard to find good Mexican food in the U.K. and fortunately this place delivers. If you like your tacos hot hot hot, ask for the fresh homemade salsa that uses actual habanero peppers. Definitely a place worth visiting if you are in Margate. Also, Ray, the owner, is just an awesome guy!

Very tasty Mexican food, very reasonably priced with very friendly service! A good selection of larger, ales and cocktails to boot... Oh and don't forget the view!

I can’t believe that I haven’t been in here since it was the Punch and Judy back in…(I’d rather not say)! I was fortunate enough to meet the owner (Ray) on Sunday and he and his staff were just fantastic! Great atmosphere, great decor and great setting. The food and drinks were cracking too. A great place and I’ll definitely be back VERY soon 😃

This place is a Margate culinary staple for me. The food is quite phenomenal. They do a great selection of Mexican street food that is truly inspired and authentic - excellent handcrafted fresh nachos and really delightful tacos that take me back to a particular street in Mexico City. They started doing roasts recently with a Mexican twist which sounds weird, but really works.

We were completely stunned by the quality of food here. This has to be one of the best Restaurants in Margate by far. Friendly staff and along with our dog Casper was made very welcome in the dog friendly area. The Mexican food mixed with Sunday lunch is truly inventive. The cocktails were amazing and even the dog was given gravy bones and water. Our dog was so chilled he even asked if we could go again lol.

Amazing food and extremely friendly staff. Even dogs gets a treat! We had the pork belly Sunday roast and it came with an amazing roasted spiced cheesy cauliflower side. The fish tacos and the kids crispy chicken wrap were all delicious. Definitely a good place dine in when in Margate. Sit at the bar area and you have the amazing seaside view to go with your meal!

Really nice spacious pub with a huge craft beer selection. This place is on Margate front with a nice seating area to the front great for people watching.

Absolutely the most delicious Mexican food. Great range & everything tastes so fresh. The "wings of the dead" are so good, but treat them with caution, and have a drink handy! The loaded Mexican street fries are incredible and the service is impeccable. Just go, you wont be disappointed.

Fantástica casa de tequila y mezcal. Came here with my partner for a nice place to chill and discovered an amazing selection of beers, mezcals and tequila as well as some pretty hot and delicious wings. I hear the owner has dreams of making this the best place for tequila and mezcal in Kent! I wish them well and will visit again!

This is a really nice little bar right on the seafront next to dreamland so ideal for a pre-dreamland drink or a post-dreamland drink depending on what you well what are you doing and where do you say a gig drinks reasonably priced and the staff are friendly.

Great staff (espesh the security guard out front) and nice bevs. Really nice building right by the sea front. Good chairs.

Went to Cinque Ports last weekend with 3 friends. We all loved it, Mexican style menu which was perfect for a summer evening, I had the French Tacos and it was one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten! The guy that served us was really good too - straight forward, laid back, professional, all at once.. The perfect front of house! We'll be back, cheers guys!

Everything was perfectly seasoned and tasted beautiful. The presentation was mouth watering and I could not have been happier after my meal. If you're considering pubs and eateries in the area, choose this one. I will be!
