The ice cream was lovely, and the lady serving was a sweetheart. The salted caramel gelato was top tier!

Slowest service in the world never coming back, ignored and left hungry on my train home.

Very tasty crepes, had a savoury one, and ohhhh the coconut and mango ice cream, absolutely DELICIOUS

Really nice ice creams, just the right amount of choice. Amazing choices for sweets and fudge and also waffles etc if you have time to sit down. The ladies that served us were really lovely. Also the price - very very reasonable!

Lovely little candy store which also serves ice-creams, softies, waffles, slushies and hot drinks including hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. Most importantly it is the only ice-cream shop which we found open late in the evening, at the beachfront, when the children wanted ice-creams, which was very helpful. The lady worked tirelessly to serve the late customers before closure.

Purchase 3 Ice creams from the shop as soon as we crossed the road they began to melt..made a mess of everything and threw them away…went over to Life’s a beach (ice cream shop)….managed to walk around for 15mins without a drop on my hands…..

I bought 2x crepes for myself and my wife plus ice creams for the children. The food was good and priced fairly, but my main take away was the young man who served us. I doubt he was older than 17 ( may be the owners son) he was very tall so I might have got his age very wrong. He was so helpful polite and kind to the children as they chose flavours A real credit to who ever brought him up No grunting or shrugging just great interactive service Well done !!!

Well, absolutely genuine lovey lady served myself, son and my big white german shepherd, nothing was to much, and quite happy to promote other local business, a credit to other local businesses around her, fantastic lady and credit to the business as much as she is to herself, wonderful lady. Stopped to sit outside with an ice cream on the first day lockdown restrictions eased. £2 got a tasty Salted Caramel Cone,and a comfy seat outside the shop,to enjoy it in the sun.

We’ve walked past this cafe many times, but needing a cuppa before the train we went in. Excellent crepes, freshly made. Homemade icecream. Lovely friendly owners. Will definitely return.

Nice lady, bad ice cream (lemon sorbet). My children actually wanted to throw it in the bin, so we did. Never before has that happened (a few days later we had terrible ice cream again, but that's a different story). Can't comment on anything else, so I won't. Great that you can pay with a card.

Came here for soft serve ice-cream with my boyfriend this afternoon. After paying we realised the young friendly gentleman that took our payment gave the incorrect order to his boss (an older lady) who was making the ice-cream. Both ice-creams were made with a different cheaper cone which we don’t like. The difference between the cones were 40p for both. We then wanted to pay the difference but the minimum swipe amount was £1 as we didn’t have cash on us we then offered to pay the £1 ourselves but the gentleman refused. The young gentlemen continued to apologise and said not to worry I will sort out the difference and take it out my pay cheque. We were horrified to find his boss agreed and mentioned it would come out his pay. Although the ice-cream was good and the young gentlemen that took our order was very friendly we were appalled with the response from the older lady (whom we presume is his boss) Staff members should not be treated like this and such a silly small mistake shouldn’t come out his pay, not to mention how ridiculous it is considering it’s only 40p. If this is regular behaviour from management I hope for his sake he leaves soon.

We popped in here on a recent day trip to buy some ice creams and it exceeded expectations. Beautiful flavoured creamy gelato which the whole family *loved*. The lady told us it was made for her by a local Italian lady and I could well believe it - flavours were spot on. Will definitely visit again when we are next in Margate. Recommended.

My rating for Candy Stop is 5 stars because the lady there is very nice and kind. We came here after a day at the beach, and some ice cream and candy floss was just what we needed. The lady who was working there was really kind to me and my friend a free trial of her new ice cream flavour “Sneakies” which you should definitely try unless you are allergic to nuts. Definitely stop by if you visit Margate beach, and buy yourself some delicious, well deserved ice cream 🍦😊👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍😊🍦

I absolutely LOVE this place. The owner was very nice and friendly. The owner gave my daughter and her best friend a free trial of their new amazing flavour sneakies, very kind. She also looked after them while I went to get my car. I would definitely come back again and recommend this to anyone who may visit this beach and as well as that, their ice cream is like heaven 😊😋😉😍

The chocolate sundae was delicious! Jack had a chocolate ice cream too. Don't be fooled by the facade!

Stopped by this cafe for tea. The warm fresh doughnuts were really good and pretty inexpensive. The place is really bright in terms of decorations. I'd love to visit it again!

A lovely warm welcoming shop. A super display of delicious ice creams to choose from to have in your tub or cornet. The crepes are hot and soft and crisp are excellently made right in front of you with a delicious array of toppings. We come here every visit to Margate which was about 5 times 2016!! We will visit much more 2017. It is a small shop and can be busy with just a few customers but they cannot do nothing about that. There are few tables to sit at inside.

We had very friendly service whilst we chose the type of ice cream we wanted from the wide range available. We ate the tasty ice creams whilst sitting on the pavement chairs and table with a good view across the Harbour.

Candystop do the best crepes I've ever had, they have really good ice cream too and more, if you haven't tried, you need to!

Love this shop. Feel like a kid that's won the lottery. Great variety of sweets and good price too. Staff are always helpful and keen to impress

We stopped here for our pudding after eating along the sea front....Everyone had ice creams. The flavours are delicious. They do sweets, candy floss, ice cream and much more. Worth a visit for your sweet tooth fix along the front.

The Candy Stop is a great place to get a crepe/pancake. It's the only place I know that does pancakes in Margate. Affordable prices and a warm welcome. I love the Nutella crepe! The best value for money cafe in Margate for an afternoon snack!

They were very friendly and the place is very clean, the food is delicious, cannot fault the place, we will definitely go there again, it's not very big, but it is Dinky and Cute, well worth a visit. If you don't go there you are missing out.
