Best pub in town, great atmosphere really enjoy the live music. Staff are always welcoming.

A place full to the brim with every oddity under the sun. You just couldn't make it up. Proper ale served at it's finest by the same types who frequent this the oldest public house in Ramsgate playing some eclectic mixes of bands.

Good centre of town pub. Well kept cellar beer in excellent condition.

Maybe I'm a bit biased as this is my local. All the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help, a good range of ales and ciders. The pub is very large but still has a feeling of comfort. Dogs are most welcome, just as well as my dog knows all the shortcuts and often takes me there. It is also a venue for bands at the weekend's, a list is usual chalked up on a board showing a month's worth of entertainment. They do have a restaurant called the seasider I believe but this is independent operating from the pubs premises. Tha front of the pub overlooks the sea.

Red Lion is OK as a stop off on the way to somewhere else or as somewhere comfortable to read the paper but, for me, is not a destination in itself

It's a proper pub. Decent beer, pool table, friendly staff and locals. No food.

Excellent pub with a good atmosphere, live music and very well kept local ales. Had a chat with the friendly landlord and it's clear that he loves ale and prides himself in keeping it in top notch condition. Highly recommended.

I called in this place to use the conveniences and had a couple of drinks and a few games of darts the music was varied and loud and they were showing sports on the tv's. They had a good range of beers, wines and spirits and the staff were very helpful and friendly, one to visit while in Ramsgate.

Nice little pub in the town centre. We like the music they play through the speakers and a nice selection of beers and the price is reasonable. Pool table at the rear with a room upstairs used for functions and local clubs, chess etc.

Loved the beer selection (especially the oatmeal stout). They have alternative music nights as well which is fantastic. They seem to get a great, friendly load of locals in there

Great Live Band on Saturday esp Rock Music. Friendly. I drank Gadds bitter for only £3.55 a pint - alcohol is good value for money.

Fairly quiet when I visited which was a weekday afternoon. No idle chit chat with staff or customers so if you are thinking about striking up a conversation this might not be your first port of call

It's recently changed hands and I must say it's spotless staff are pretty much the same as before lockdown and are always friendly and attentive. Live music is always a treat with and often has a fresh selection of real ale.

Have not had a Drink here since 2006, Really miss the old gang.

Beautiful real ales, staff are super friendly and helpful. Sanitise stations at both entry and exit doors. Clean and well kept bathrooms. Social distancing is awesome. The staff know their stuff

It's a proper pub and I'm still using it because I still like good beer and good company.

A bit like a wild west saloon when I walked in as in everyone turned round to look at the stranger. I think the phrase "a local pub for local people" would sum it up.

A fantastic pub right in the town centre and diagonally opposite Lloyds bank. The Red Lion has seating outside so you can take in the ambience of Ramsgate town centre. With a good selection of fine beers and wine The Red Lion is a pub to enjoy.

Friendly and welcoming staff and a good crowd. Live music, surprisingly, sounds great considering the size and shape of the venue (we saw The Barricades here on a Friday night). Attention paid to how you like your drinks and offers for doubles etc always mentioned. Competitive prices too! Recommended 😊👍

Very popular pub, very limited real ale. Great music but with large number of folk accessing other areas of the pub through the set, somewhat distracting.
