Worse place I have ever stayed in. Small dirty and with the extension leads everywhere dangerous too. Should not be allowed to use this as an overnight stay!!! And there is no mention of the shared filthy bathroom !!!

Definitely not a quiet area - every weekend 4-bedrooms at the center of the complex (especially South Argyle) host huge drinking parties, shouting and leaving a mess. Security and Garda don't care about this.

Friendly staff, good food. Whether you want morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea I can recommend this little cafe. Dog friendly happy to serve you in their pretty garden outside the front on a warm day overlooking the sea or in the restaurant.

Wonderful nice modern apartments in a gated community in central Dublin.

A cold November evening. A Thursday. Not much going on anywhere. We've been there before. In most restaurants around here you feel like you're almost intruding. But not so here at the Custom's House. We felt very welcome in a warm and cosy atmosphere. The service and food were excellent and the portion sizes gigantic (for two oldies anyway). Both my wife and I are keen cooks so we are rather fussy when it comes to eating out. So, what are the cons? To be frank, we couldn't find any. The flavours were subtle and not overpowering. Everything was cooked as it should be. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Amazing quality food, perfect portion sizes, excellent service and value! Had the hot meze platter for four with amazing flatbread (which we straight away ordered more of). Then ordered lamb and chicken shish, 2 kleftiko and vegetable moussaka, all of which were delicious. You can even bring your own drink or order home delivery. Lunch menu extremely good value too at £9.95 for 2 courses or £11.95 for 3 courses. Highly highly recommended!!! Must visit for all locals/visitors/couples/families/friends

Great location in the city. Locals aren't the friendliest though, parking is difficult here also. From a professional point of view also, the plumbing here is diabolically awful and prone to leaks.

Absolutely lovely food, the waitress Megan was so polite and friendly we will definitely be back again!

We came upon this place by chance and decided to sit outside and enjoy the autumn sunshine. We were tempted by the Express Lunch Menu which was priced at £9.95 for 2 courses or £11.95 for 3 but decided we couldn't do it justice. The cold Meze selection was £12.95 for 2 sharing and the hot was £14.95. We decided to go for the cold. It was served very quickly but just ahead of it arrived a complementary dish containing olives, minted yoghurt and a spicy tomato dip. The cold selection was both plentiful, well presented and tasted excellent. The flat bread was the best we have had so far and had "things" on it. The total cost for 2 including tea and coffee was £16.75. Excellent value for money and we had difficulty in eating all that was presented to us.

We had sharing plater, lamb shish and roasted aubergine. they give us complimentary starter and fruit & desert. We had turkish red wine and white wine.NOT EXPENSIVE GREAT FOOD GREAT SERVICE. THANK YOU SHEFF THANK YOU SEHMUS WE WILL BACK AGAIN.

Have been to several excellent Turkish restaurants and was looking forward to the Custom House cuisine the decor was a bit dated even though it hasn't been open long but was hoping the food would make up for it

Four of us fancied a Turkish meal, so we went to Ramsgate to have a look at the new ‘A La Turka’. Very glitzy outside and when we saw the menu mains were about £5 dearer than Custom House where we had been before. So we went there. You have to walk through Tourist Information to get to the restaurant so it has trouble attracting people walking by. Well worth finding it! Excellent service and food. Free appetisers, generous starters and mains, cooked to perfection. We all had different meals and enjoyed them. No room left for dessert but the owner brought us some baklava tasters free of charge. We’ll be going again. NB They also own Edessa in Sandwich. Highly recommended!

We had lunch here, mixed meze which was presented well with plenty of variety. Really enjoyed the food, nice, fresh and tasty served by friendly competent staff. You can also take your own wine for a small corkage fee and they deliver too. Thank you we will be back.

Amazing service and food every time! They now also do delivery which is an added bonus however the restaurant and little garden is very nice to sit in. Wouldn't necessarily know it was there unless told other wise. Authentic Turkish dishes which have lots of flavours .

We ordered food from here and were impressed. It arrived early and tasted great. There is a good selection of vegetarian dishes. We will definitely use this place again.

I have missed good Turkish food since moving here, so am really happy to have found this place. The chicken beyti was delicious, the staff were brilliant and really helped with my two year old and everything we ordered was lovely. I highly recommend

I have ordered food from here on 4 different occasions, either with friends as part of a larger order or just for myself and not once have they failed to deliver an absolutely amazingly meal. Always turns up piping hot, fresh and is of a much higher quality compared to any other takeaway youv had in Thanet.

My first time at Custom House, but I would like to return to try some other Turkish specialties! I liked the food especially the rose drink was very refreshing, a little pricey.

A great find on Ramsgate seafront. Authentic Turkish cuisine with some interesting twists for vegetarians. Lovely breads, dips and olives on the house. BYO as well. Highly recommended.

Love this place ordered a take away from here had lamb klaftico and chicken wrap over a month ago was perfect. Then went to the restraunt 4 my brothers 21st and was 28 of us their.the food and service was outstanding and food delicious would recommend to every1.

Happily stumbled across this restaurant with my friends one summers day. Could not praise or recommend it enough!! The staff and food were an absolute delite and full compliments to the chef! We had the cold meze platter to start with which I managed to take a photo before hand as it was just so beautiful and almost criminal to eat! And for mains the hot meze platter recommended by the our neighbouring diners! Unfortunately it looked and smelled amazing I couldn't wait to dig in The owners treat you so well and with full respect you feel like family. My only regret about this resturant is I can not give it any more than 5 stars! I would give 10! Will definitely be back one evening when the next belly dancing event is on

Eating at the Turkish restaurant at the Custom House in Ramsgate was an extremely disappointing experience. Alarm bells should have rung when we saw that there were only eight diners (including our party of six!) on a busy, gloriously sunny day in Ramsgate, the rest of the harbour’s restaurants were heaving with customers.

A last minute decision to have dinner before we went to a party. Friendly staff good service and the food was excellent, really delicious. You can't see from outside too clearly that it's a restaurant as it's situated in the back of a building but i'm sure once you find it you'll return.

Very poor. Tired apartment with lots of faults. Stains on all mattresses. No hot water for the shower. Decent location. All in all very expensive for what you get.

Came across this restaurant on tripadvisor. Very family friendly, lovely food, lovely staff. Kids were happy with their choices from kids menu & we had the sharing platter which didn’t disappoint! Would definitely recommend/eat here again

Had spotted the restaurant last week as I walked to the beach and, having looked at the menu on-line, decided it had to be the place we had lunch today.

Well the title says it all really! What a gem! The food was out of this world and nothing was too much bother for the lovely owner and his team. Probably the best meal I’ve eaten in Ramsgate and will definitely be going back!

After a late lunch we needed a late supper and were running out of options in Ramsgate when we found the Custom House. Luckily for us they were happy to oblige and as it was a balmy evening we ate lamb souvlaki and falafel in their courtyard. The owner looked after us and if we were local we'd definitely return.

We ordered whitebait which came with a salad, delicious and just the correct portion. Enjoyed the token Turkish delight at the end of the meal. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return as the menu has so many choices. Thank you for the lovely experience.

We came in for one of my closest friends birthday, there was a table of 18 of us, which for a small restaurant was a big ask. We were asked to pre-order which we did, the table was booked for half 7, and due to many factors most of our party hadn't arrived until 8pm. The restaurant beared with us,and even put on a special surprise for the birthday girl in way of belly dancers.

Me and some friends visited this place last week. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Good portion size as well. After we tried the Shisha (water melon flavour) in the garden with a beer. Such a great Evening. The staff were so friendly and helpful, definitely be back soon

Thank you so much for such a great evening and accommodating a large table. We did have a long wait however partly our fault for not letting you know we had all arrived. The owner was so lovely and helped arrange a special touch to the night by having belly dancers in which was the highlight of the Turkish experience! Thank you!! X

I went today with my family and 18 month old daughter, we sat outside in a lovely garden which meant my daughter could run around and the staff all made her feel welcome and us feel relaxed! The food was unbelievable - fresh, authentic and full of flavour - in fact what I asked for wasn’t on the menu and the chef still made it for me happily! The owner makes a real effort to keep things clean and effificiently run whilst being very friendly to customers too. The hot mezze starter is a must have! You can take your own alcohol too which is always a plus! Highly recommend - I can’t wait for my next visit!

Myself and partner visited after a terrible experience at a nearby restaurant. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome, and seated outside.

There was about 15/20 of us on a big table tonight that had been reserved about 2 months before the night. We waited an hour before any of the starters started to come out and then another hour and 15mins before the mains came out. The staff was not apologetic at all for the slow service. When my main came it was still very rare, the inside was very bloody and was a mushy grey mess, my friend got the waiter back for me to say the fish wasn’t done properly and he took it away and said it was his fault it wasn’t cooked properly, it came back about 15mins later, the same fish but had just been recooked again! I wasn’t going to eat it after that, I could see the bits that were previously very bloody and gooey before had just been burnt now. I didn’t end up paying for my main, only paid for my starter. I would not go here again. The staff just kept saying it was a busy evening but we had pre booked this table a very long time ago along with what we wanted to order.

Had a wonderful authentic Turkish meal. Great setting and excellent service. Had the lamb shish and a calamari starter. The lamb was tender and full of flavour and the portions were generous. You must ask for the chili sauce to compliment your meal. We will definitely visit again.

We had visited Broadstairs and on the way back to our hotel in Margate we decided to stop for a bite to eat in Ramsgate. Parents checked on my behalf if it was wheelchair accessible and the lady explained that yes it was and they had a disabled toilet too. I ordered the Calamari (delicious) Mum had Salmon and Dad had the Seabass we all went straight for a main as to leave room for desert. At a £5 charge you can take your own drinks. We had a bottle of wine. The desserts were just as good as the mains I had the sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream, Mum Coffee and Walnut cake and Dad went Turkish traditional Baklava. The atmosphere in the restaurant was ideal very welcoming, low Turkish music playing. The staff were friendly didn’t rush you or keep coming up asking if everything was ok it was just right.

7 of us were here for a lot lunch on a Saturday. We were treated to fresh, quality food cooked beautifully. Absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and owners Feliz and Hasan were on hand to check all customers were happy. We'll most definitely be going back very soon

Came across this restaurant on tripadvisor, took a shot in the dark and visited, pleasantly surprised. Having walked into a building with tourist information at the front we didn’t expect to be greeted by such authentic decor out the back. Only couple in the restaurant at the time, fast service and food was divine! Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. Will certainly be recommending and visiting again!

This place is not very impressive from the front, however, we were taken through to a small courtyard at the back and it was lovely! We ordered the cold meze for two and all the dips were delicious with the humus being the tastiest I’ve had in ages. We chose 3 or 4 other dishes and enjoyed all of them. Friendly, professional staff who were also very hospitable to our little dog too. And very good value for money (although as we live in London we obviously have no sense of pricing in the real world ). I would only suggest that someone should think about making the frontage more attractive to attract more people in.

Friendly staff that are only to happy to help you. Meal was delicious and ample. If you want alcohol then you need to bring your own.

Popped in here for a quick light lunch between property viewing appointments. Lovely fresh tasting food. Good choice with hot and cold meze dishes as well as more substantial mains. Excellent service.

Extremely handy location, for renting an apartment for a visit to Dublin. Very close to bus station and very close to the Connolly Station. It is a quiet and secure complex, from a safety point of view. Few decent pubs and coffee shops within a few minutes of walking range.

We visited on Sunday 1st July. Had amazing food, very friendly staff, when we asked for extra bread there was no problem and more was bought. The portion size was huge! £12.50 for a Chicken Shish which is delicious! Their spicy Chicken was amazing too. Would visit all the way from Bexley again just the food!

Had a lovely meal with my husband. The service was very friendly and attentive..We shared a generous starter, the home made bread was delicious. The authentic Turkish food and wine was lovely, gourgous courtyard situated at the back is a very pleasant place to eat. Will definitely be back.

We went on the off chance after seeing a takeaway menu through the door that looked delicious and reasonably priced. Now in my top 2 restaurants Ramsate for lovely food (along with The Empire rooms) Lovely staff & service so have booked my Mums 70th Birthday with a set price & they are so accommodating (take yr own booze is a bonus but the Turkish wine is stunning) The best food ive had in yonks!

Friendly welcome with very tasty authentic Turkish food, well presented, with prompt attention. Visited on a Monday night. Turkish wine was good ( Yakut ). Finished off with a generous helping of good quality fresh baklava and Turkish tea.

We decided to give this restaurant a try, however it was a huge disappointment. There was a huge wait for our food, it was disorganised and when our hot mezze arrived, it was tiny , hardly enough for 2 never mind 4 people. We were not given serving spoons , so just had to dip into the plate with our forks. The sharing platter for 4 came on small plate with 2 small cubes of chicken, 1 piece of lamb and 1 rib placed on some rice. When we queried this we were told it was a mistake and they had given us someone else’s mezze for 2 and that they would bring more. They forgot to do this, and it took ages to get some ones attention so we decided to leave. We asked for the bill and they said we will bring you some complimentary Baklavs which never arrived. They then tried to charge us for 4 meals when we had actually a mezze for 2 people.

My husband and went here for our anniversary - we wanted to try somewhere different. The food was lovely with generous portions - my husband said the Turkish bread was the best he'd ever tasted! Great service and really nice surroundings. Will definitely visit again.

Seven of us ate here last week and we were all very happy with our meals and the friendly service. Well worth a visit. It’s located at the back of the tourist information office on the harbour, so could do with a bit more signage outside.

Hidden away at Custom House you have to walk through the Tourist Information Centre to get to this lovely new restaurant. Beautiful surroundings with impeccable service and food. There is a little courtyard garden with tables so on warmer days/evenings it will be amazing to eat out there. I had a lovely evening here and will DEFINITELY be back!

Used this place twice - once for a large takeaway and once for a sit down meal. Both times the food was excellent and the prices are an absolute bargain. And as a regular visitor to Istanbul, I can promise you this is the real deal. But don't forget to bring a bottle.

We had a lovely tasty kebab. The bread with our starter was freshly made instead of the usual pitta which was a nice touch. Staff very friendly. Will return soon to try the mixed meze.

My husband and I went here because we have been hearing ads on the radio. Just turned up on Friday evening early and got a table. Very friendly staff and lots of room around the tables which I like. Very reasonable prices for very tasty food.

We wanted a take-away last night and fancied something different. I remembered recently receiving a menu for Custom House and thought it worth a try...we were not disappointed. The food was delicious...generous portions and very good value. The delivery service was free, prompt and the delivery man polite and friendly. We will definitely use again.

I ate here despite having read some reviews on TripAdvisor which referred to dishes I would not expect to see on a Turkish menu, and which were decidedly mixed. Talking to one of the waiters the reason became clear. They have only been here some two months, prior to which it was not a Turkish restaurant at all. The food was excellent, as was the service. The name of the restaurant has not been changed and consequently reviews written prior to March 2018 should be ignored by prospective diners as they are no longer relevant.

Just by chance we found this lovely little restaurant right on the sea front at Ramsgate. The staff were attentive and helpful, the food fantastic and the price very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and will re-visit when in the area.

I am a regular visitor to the cafe/restaurant. It is in a perfect location to sit with a newspaper and coffee and watch the world go by. The Turkish restaurant has recently been refurbished and offers a reasonably priced menu. Well worth a visit.
